This was excellent! I am also learning the hard way that applying my branding and marketing expertise is much harder on my own brand and business. It’s like, even hair dressers aren’t expected to be able to cut your own hair. You just can’t see the full picture clearly when you’re inside of it.

@@LizMarieStrategy Thank you. Sure I will. Right now! Lol I am a graphic designer with an open-minded focus into clothing in general and Apparel and fabric accessories specifically. I am reading two books "Fashion Label" by Toby Meadows and "Design Is Storytelling" by Ellen Lupton, in order to set up a consistent identity for my upcoming brand, but still can not really convince myself of a consistent way to launch it. I live in Brooklyn play, NY, I play music, I know musicians around, I work in the field of Jewelry supply and I know artists around me, and I like foreign languages for having been and lived in many places but I have no video content in social media... I wanna make sure that I am not only selling printed designs. Could you please help me with your analyst advices and tips on how to launch that the best way?
      Thank You Liz.

Sid! So sorry for the delayed response. Thank you for sharing all of this with me. I haven't read "Fashion Label" but I'll have to check it out. Ellen Lupton is brilliant, though! I would start with your audience. There are so many fashion brands out there.. Who is yours for? What is their life like? How will your designs make them feel? Fashion is all about lifestyle and it can be very aspirational so this will help you figure out the big picture of what you're trying to deliver. From there, you can almost reverse engineer what type of brand you need to create and even what type of designs, fabrics, styles, etc. will help you deliver the right vibe. As far as going behind printed designs, I'm no expert but I'm guessing there are design & production houses that you can work with to go from design/concept to actual garment construction. Here's one to check out: www.designmakeproduce.com/

Can you please do a video on what is required for a photoshoot, i've been doing my own shoots as in hire a photographer as in would model my jewellery because i am the artist, but i want to level up now with a model for collections, etc etc - what do i need to do/organise? do i find the location, what does a stylish do? do i buy and bring the clothes if it's a few looks? Do i book all these people and say hey 'meet here'?' I'm so lost i don't know logistically where to start :/

You have learned from your mistakes. Know what the mistakes were. Know what to do from now on, know what the solutions are. And give us the viewers advice. Thumbs up!
    How did you get help?
You learn more from mistakes than success stories.
Liz, where did you buy your earrings?
