    I see my entrepreneurial path as a pregnancy: when you are pregnant you surround yourself with positive thoughts and culture and beauty to attract a compassionate soul.       Eliana - Thank you for this analogy. I also thank you for your kind words. It is interesting how there are certain times and stages of life where we are careful, take our health seriously, and we are careful about our surroundings and associations, and what goes into our minds. In reality, this is what is required always, but by default we develop habits, behavior, and dialogue that does not serve us. Yes, deciding that you will create a business that first serves you, and then others, is one of those times to reassess how you have been thinking, living, and other choices you have made. Once you realize this, it becomes clear you can live without many things, that have actually been in your way of having a more peaceful, fulfilling, happier, and prosperous life.       Dave: Thank you for your comment. There is no doubt that many of the principles associated with luxury marketing were exhibited in Steve Job’s approach to launching and growing the iPod, IPhone, iPad, and entire Apple brand from its clean retail presence, to elegant product design. Luxury continues to evolve and mean different things in different markets, often to the dismay of vintage brands and purists. Nevertheless you’ve pointed out a clear example of how modern products have adopted luxury attributes.

    It was my pleasure to watch this video. I am seriously considering becoming a presenter at a cosmetic company where the prices are towards the higher end of the scale. At this point, I am in the research stage, during which I am doing all I can to learn where to find the best markets for the products, and how to conduct myself as I present them to the members in those markets. I don't know if the narration is you or a professional narrator, but after watching this video a few times, and videos from presenters of the company I plan to join, one thing that stands out is the narration. Thanks to you, I am making a concentrated effort to speak in a professional manner, and significantly decrease okays, here we goes, hmms, uhms,etc, which are in many of the videos I have watched. With that said, many of the videos I have watched from people in the company I plan to join, speak to the same aspects as you do in this video, granted, in a less sophisticated manner, but what I have learned from them and you, is helping me gain insight, and growing my confidence, and for that I thank you..

    I found this as I have put my business into the luxury sector as I was dealing in scrap stuff before with piece worth show to a dealer once every few months now I am looking to deal with quality jewellery and have found the traders, bought the stuff and am now working on selling it and getting the best price possible

    The difficult type of customer can be a nightmare for any type of business, not just the luxury type. A difficult type of customer must be identified straight from the get go and delt with accordingly when needed. Sticking to policies if they are there is an essential must. That's why they are there for for everyone's protection. It is much better and safer to often say to that kind of customer that something is not part of your offered products or services asap rather than have a lengthy unpleasant and unprofitable experience that may even cost your business legal fees and possible liability at the end because no matter what you did you just could not satisfy them. If possible these kind of bad customers should be identified and steered clear of. This is much easier done in smaller companies.

    Andre, this is false. Completely false, man. You are literally taking general marketing principles and applying it to "luxury". This should be criminal lol.
    I'll give you one example: a luxury brand does not give a shit about their competition, because they have no competition.

      Lmao hahahahaah what a joke. You don't know shit about luxury. There IS NO COMPETITION. NO POSITIONING. If there is, it is NOT luxury. It is premium or ultra-premium.
      A Hermes handbag does not compete with a Gucci handbag. A Gucci handbag does not compete with a Hermes handbag. They are literally their own design, style and taste. You either LOVE them or you don't.

      Exactly. They don't care about how many cars or bags or any other product they will sell if it's compared to other brands. Premium brands compete, Luxury brands tend to have higher prices and permanent quality customers
