mine makes a little sounds and doesnt seem to kick in speed when going up hill
Which ones are dangerous and has to be repaired as soon as possible?
Is it an extreme amount of work to fix any of those problems?
I have had front end rattle for years and the mechanic just says that he looked at it and sprayed it down (?). Personally I think he doesn't want to do all the work because it may be difficult/too much. Do you think that is a possibility?
I am 100% willing to pay him for his labour but he just "sprays it down".
It still rattles and there is play in the steering wheel ... When I drive on an uneven / bumpy surface the road almost pulls the steering wheel... Not a normal amount..wheel alignment has been checked. I had a car that had no such play/travel, so I am certain that it is not the road but the car.
He is the only mechanic in town with decent service and prices. I've taken the car to the brand mechanic and they fared worse and asked triple the price...and the problem was still not fixed.
(The car is a Hyundai i.20 1,6).
On an unrelated note; could you do a video about clunks around the centre?
(After braking and coming to a standstill there is a loud clunk...some say the petrol tank is loose, others say the gears shift on their own...but I am not a mechanic and I am afraid it is dangerous to drive like that).
Thank you for your channel; it gives me, as a woman with little mechanical knowledge, the confidence to go the mechanic and request more specifically what I want checked/repaired. And by doing that, they (the dicey mechanics) are less inclined to cheat me with unnecessary repairs etc.
So I have a Hyundai sonata 2012 GLS 2.4, as I'm driving down the road the car likes to swayed from left to right especially when I'm going over 70 miles and on uneven road. Sometime back about a year ago I started hearing some noises in the front suspension that wasn't there before, I went to different mechanics and they all said the suspension and all the parts are fine, yet I know there was something different. Now the problems are bad and after taking it to several mechanics, no one giving me an exact answer, however some said they it's the alignment which I've got checked and fixed, others say the struts which I think are fine, but after research and a mechanic I trust told me that the part in question is the RACK AND PINION.
I suggest that you go to this mechanic that you know and ask him to check the parts that these guys on the video suggests and also the rack and pinion.
I'm going to be buying the rack and pinion and having it installed on my car I'll let you know how everything comes out and if it helps me with the steering wheel swaying problem
P.s. what part of the country do you live in that there is only 2 mechanics
Every time I break my sonata shakes and makes a very loud noise.. what could that be? #pleasehelp
could be a bad rotor or a rusted out control arm or ball joints
