    I am convinced when I see a "dislike(s)" it's from someone who's spent lots of money on having someone else do their install or it's a loctition and they're mad that you're showing others how you've created such beautiful professional looking DIY locs.... Oh well!!! Keep up the great work😁!❤

    Thank you for these videos! I wanted sisterlocks and was wanting to pay big money, but it's through watching your DIY videos that made me realise I could do this myself!! Thank you!!!

    Loved your video. I'm planning to do micro locs this year (turning 30!) and might do them myself. Also I'm originally from the Bronx and hearing the ambulance made me miss my family and the city life!

    I am getting my sisterlocks installed Tomorrow March 2nd. I have low density hair so my consultant thinks we should be done the same day. I am excited to get them. I looooooove your videos and kudos to you for taking the time to show everyone how to do this DIY. I want to hopefully learn how to re-tighten it myself after the first year.

    I'm 4 weeks installed of micro braidlocs. I looooove them. I went to a loctician to install them and will also let her do my retwists but I swear I should have done this a long time ago. I already had hair color prior to the locs but it really makes them pop and many times I'll do a flat twist out or braid out on it and it's so pretty.

    Looking good so far! Speaking from experience, your hair will definitely shrink some more. It's all a part of the process. I had Sisterlocks for about a year and a half before I cut them all off. I started them in April of 2010. I have traditional locks now, which I started in April of 2018.

    • @QueenEleem
      @QueenEleem  4 роки тому +3

      May I ask, what we’re some factors in your decision to go the traditional route after having sisterlocks?

    Frizz makes sense with sauna, dry sauna, hot yoga, vigorous exercise which are all amazing choices! Some heads simply will not hold the grid and that's fine. You did a great job!

    Dr. Bronner soap will save you a lot of money. Use that instead off the sister lock shampoo. Works like a charm.

    • @QueenEleem
      @QueenEleem  4 роки тому

      I had a lot of breakage too when i started but I didn’t clip my ends bc I wanted to retain all my length. But if you do clip your ends then you’ll have less hair to loc and you’ll save time.

      Multiple sizes using my “graduated sizing algorithm”. My loc sizes are between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch squares with the majority between 5/16-3/8 inch. I detail this in my grid video but will be creating a mini course just to my updated method of creating a grid with multiple sizes that are specific to the location on the head.

      No you don’t have to. But you can if you like. When starting the locking process you should probably wait a year or so before you cut your locs bc you don’t want to disturb the loc matrix.
