Due to the pandemic I decided that rather than risk violating “social distancing” I would do my own. That was three weeks ago. My procrastination had everything to do with my confusion regarding the “ grid” sectioning. I didn’t want to put in all that time and have it come out “tacky” Then ... Eureka! There you were and suddenly I, who struggled through algebra...geometry and completely overwhelmed by trigonometry saw the light and actually understood how and why the “grid” method works. Which can only mean that I didn’t sleep through all those classes. My teachers would be so proud. Thanks a bunch!
If you're hesitating about doing your locs following her tips, just do it. I've been browsing this info for years and this is the most concise info you'll get without going to get sisterlocks yourself. I did my own locs August 2021 and just took them out in September 2022 because I didn't follow all these steps and wanted a better set of locs. I'm re-establishing my locs following every detail this time!
I’m so mad that you upload this the day after I finish installing my own DIY micro Locs. I was looking for an explanation for making a grid and couldn’t find one with this much detail. Great video.
Sameeeee!! I started mine with twist in December 2019 took them out and had my roommate help my part straight lines. Got done interlock my whole head feb. But my lines are not as straight as I’d like cause I have a migrating scale 🙃 then boom here she comes with all the math and measurements 😂
Hi QueenEleem, wonderful tutorial. I have sister locks and my consultant asked me to blow out my hair before my instulation. Due to the density of my hair. Lol she was having a hard time getting the parts straight 😂. Stay safe 😊
I’m a naptural hair care artist and I’m going to do my own. My grid pattern is going to be beauuuutiful! The work impeccable. I’m not a loctitian nor a certified Sista loc expert. But like you said, at the end of the day, locs are locs! Soooo true! I’ll make a video of my hair when I do it. Which will be in around 2 or 3 months!
I tried installing micro twists two weeks ago and “solidified” them last week by interlocking them. Of course I want to redo them after seeing this video. 😓 Mine are too large in the front.
I understand that I shouldn't put any extra moisturizer on my hair before I start my locs but there's a problem. I can't detangle my hair or set it in a grin once my hair is dry with absolutely nothing on it because once my hair is dry and set in it's way, it becomes as stubborn as a mule and breaks off. Do you think it would be okay to apply a light leave-in while my hair is damp and stretch it that way?
I used some oil to flat iron, I’d just suggest washing the moisturizer out while in your mini braids and completely drying your hair before making your micros. I’m just trying to follow the sisterlock method as closely as possible bc I want those pretty end results
I thought you were saying I'm going into my math room.... I was like wow this girl is a real scientist 🤣😊
Lmao same 😂

Omg I'm watching now n just said wth is she a mathematician?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣had I not seen this comment i woulda bn shocked lol

I saw her installation videos a few months ago not too long after installing mine and i was so annoyed lol
I waited a while before doing mine to see if she would do a detailed video on the grid but I guess I didn’t wait long enough lol.

Hey guys - are the grids purely cosmetic or is there a reason for them?
Don't mind me! Just a total anatomy geek loving the occipital line 😂 Thank you for this!
Thank you! Your videos have always been helpful, but you went above and beyond with this.

I already have sister locks and I wanna use this to learn my own grid . Lol
I was researching diy microlocs and happened upon your channel. Great video. Going to watch part 2.

Lady you are just in time. My hair is right this second parted with a bunch of Miss Celie braids, waiting for me to install these micro locks
Woot woot! Let me know how it goes!
@@QueenEleem I will! I have to wait a week because I ordered the book. 😉
“Miss Celine braids”! Can’t stop laughing!
QueenEleem, you can ALL THE WAY THROUGH SIS!! #DIYMicrolockersLoveYOU
Thanks for these videos because lord knows I was confused on the grid 😂

I love it!! Very Detail
Thanks for sharing. I am trusting to start March 2021. Beautiful
Here is a reason we need to take math seriously. Thank you for sharing your brilliance with us. Will buy the book now.
Thank you so much. I'll be following all of your advice as well as reading through the book. Thinking about doing this next year.
🙏 happy to help!
Thank you so much for making this!
Ha, @7:14 you said “mathroom” not bathroom!
WOW I ttly did 🤣
Can this be done on a TWA? I have about 2in of hair on my head and I really want to start my microloc journey sooner than later.
I think sisterlocks and microlocs are usually started on hair that is at least 3 inches long
sorry but when u said mathroom i shouted I LOV E U at my screen so...lol
Lol that was completely accidental but thank you 😭
Can you link the book in you description box 🙏🏿
It’s I. The description box already under “the knotty truth book”
