Wow, today I revisited this video, this is the FIRST one I ever posted on this channel. I learned to keep background music OUT, and much more about video editing. THANK YOU for visiting this growing channel! Best Wishes
The music is so loud but this video is still super helpful you should make a longer version going through all the private pilot FAR’s I would fall asleep listening to this💤
This should be required viewing at the very beginning of anyone's training. Really makes the requirements clear and easy to understand. I spent a lot of time trying to nail down exactly what I needed.
Hello and thank you for watching Tom. I remember struggling with this material too. Additionally, I found regulations to be quite dry and generally less exciting to introduce compared to other topics in aviation.
Great video! Ive watched dozens of videos on getting to know the FARAIM and this is by far the best. You made it very simple and even had some jokes in there! Thank You!
Hello and thank you Robillions! This particular one is unique to me since it was my very first video posted. I felt lame talking about something as dry as regulations, I couldn't take myself seriously haha! I feel that I learned a lot about video editing since then. Glad it was helpful for both of us!
Absolutely one of the best videos I’ve seen on tabbing and going over the far aim. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video! I will definitely be sharing. Thank you again so much and have a blessed day.
Unique and nicely done, kudos and thank you! I needed an overview to get re-started after several years, and your approach was easy going, clear and a GREAT solution for me.
Thank you NWGuitarist, and congratulations on your return in aviation. I aim to create content that could be helpful for all of us, so it's great to hear this video came in useful.
I really appreciate ALL of your videos on this topic. I haven't entered my commercial airline pilot classes yet and feel like I am already ahead! Thank you!!
I borrowed my FTC's copy of the FAR/AIM in preparation for my checkride next week and have been staring at it in dread. I was actually looking for content that would relieve me of the burden of opening it when I found your video. Your calm voice, light humor, and soothing, "walk in the park" music made the FAR/AIM so much more approachable! After following along with your video, I almost feel like we're friends. Me and the FAR/AIM, that is (I'm not a stalker). But seriously, thank you for your help, and I'll be sure to find and watch your video on checkride tips!
Thank you Bjorn for this kind feedback. Haha that suggestion got me wondering which is more tedious, regulations or taxes? Take care and wishing you the best.
Hello and thank you Dmitry, it's great to have this support to continue creating. I appreciate your encouragement and promise I will have more to come.
Great video! Getting ready for my check ride and you've definitely helped me out! The practice questions were also great as well! Who knew it was this easy to use the FAR/AIM!?
Hi! This is on my fake account lol but I found this video so helpful!! Thank you so much for sharing. I actually went through my own FAR/ AIM with you and it was so helpful. Just thought I would let you know your hard work didn’t go unnoticed (: I’d love to talk more since this is so new to me! You rock!!!
Hi Mary, I am thrilled to hear you found this video helpful! I am currently working on making more videos about all my experience in aviation and hope they benefit the fantastic community here. Thank you for your awesome feedback and watching my video!
i was seriously debating to go into the practical test with 2020 version in hard copy and 2021 in ipad until you said ...poor impression...and worth the money. thank you for getting me an inch higher to reach the sky thru ppl
Hello Safak, thank you for your feedback. Happy to hear this video was helpful in some way, and good luck for your endeavors in flight. I understand that not everyone's practical test experience will be identical, but it doesn't hurt to update our print materials for the exam. I know my examiner would likely have questioned me if I did not have a current copy.
Watching this video the through was a blessing, it’s hard in its self to figure out everything your self , but this video really Analyzed and explained the Critical information that’s needed the most...
Great Job! I am going to take my introductory flight next week. I really hope I like it and keep going to get my license. In the mean time I plan on learning all I can. I hope you do another based on stuff you wish you knew before you did.
Thank you Ron, and I'm excited to hear that you will be doing your introductory flight soon. Enjoy the experience and I encourage you to ask questions. I know there is a lot to learn in pilot training and I definitely will continue to publish videos that I would have found helpful during my own training. Thank you for your feedback!
I don't know anything about planes, & hope i get the money to become a pilot, but I really like how go through things like, what then once you become a pilot, & liked when you said safety first, keep your license, my is to learn it really I always wanted to be a pilot, thanks mis for your great teaching.
Hello Marce, I wish you the best in your interest in learning to fly. On this channel I am aiming to share as much information I wished I knew as a beginner student.
Hello Everyone! I just posted a new video all about my CHECKRIDE TIPS. And thank you all for sharing great feedback here, you are awesome! Link to CHECKRIDE TIPS video: ua-cam.com/video/b_mkOVSPquE/v-deo.html
I just like to say this is a great video. Iv Followed. in my book along with you My book is FAR/AIM Book is up to date 2020 Federal Regulations Complete Aesonautical Information Manual Rules and Procedures For Aviation and Spot Pilots. But iv make all pager you show us and now i know how to fine what am looking for Thank you for this video you been a great help for me to understand this book thank you. it thumps up from me
Thank you Scott. I was also nervous about my very first check ride, but looking back I realized how helpful the ACS (Airman Certification Standards) was to refer to. It helped me in guiding what to expect and prepare towards the exam. Here is a link to view the ACS if you would like to review this information as you prepare and study for your test. Hope this helps and good luck! www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/acs/media/private_airplane_acs_change_1.pdf
Great video and study information. Well done. Great presentation. Music is too loud and takes away from your great presentation. Thank you for your videos. I love your humor.
Hello Md b777, and thank you for your feedback. I agree about this music being unnecessary. I hope I learned well from this lesson and that there is noticeable improvement in my following videos. Great to hear you enjoyed the content!
I disagree about the music. I found it soothing and enjoyable, like a walk in the park, which is how you made navigating the FAR/AIM feel. I did not find it distracted from the content.
Doing a check ride in a week or two trying to get all the help i can. Btw great video but the background music was a little bit loud for me as I'm trying to listen to your voice.
Hello Kaw Bluie, I wish you best of luck on your big day! Hope you gained something from this video. And thank you for your helpful feedback on the audio quality, I definitely will pay more attention in the future. All the best!
Thank you for the feedback JS! Something I wish I had done for my test was to read the ACS much more. After reviewing every item in there, I felt much more reassured for the test. It also includes a Practical Test Checklist on page A-11 to help make sure you didn't forget to bring any required item to your test. If you want to take a quick look, here is the FAA link to their ACS for all pilot levels: www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/acs/ Hope it helped and best of luck!
@@AIDYLCONCEPTS oh cool I haven't even really heard of the ACS. Thank you so much!!! Also one thing, next time please reduce the background music so we can hear more of what's happening and your awesome voice (; Edit: lmaooo I know what ACS ofc just forgot the abbreviation ahaahh
@@JS-ns8dr Great, thank you for your tips on the video quality. This is very helpful as I am still a beginner to UA-cam, I will be more careful with the audio volume in future videos. More content yet to come!
Yes, from my experience, I would recommend to treat the exam as if you were going in for a job interview for a position you feel you are qualified for. Be professional and well prepared and organized because there are a number of items you need to present to the examiner even before beginning the exam (some people get stuck on this part too). I like to recommend another video I shared where I talk much more in depth of all my suggestions and tips in preparing for the practical test. Below is a link if you are interested. Thank you for visiting my channel! ua-cam.com/video/b_mkOVSPquE/v-deo.html
The reason the definitions aren’t comprehensive is they are legal definitions. This page is there to help you break down the foundational language of any one reg, not to use as a general definitions reference.
Thank you! The background piano is far too loud, though. Less is more with background music. Very distracting, especially with your soft voice. But great info otherwise!
Hello Jeffrey and thank you for your feedback! I absolutely agree about the audio quality in this video and will definitely pay more attention next time. Hope you will see a noticeable improvement in future videos.
I agree about the music very much! Thank you for tolerating my very early, inexperienced video projects. This was my first ever video on UA-cam and had no idea how off it was, lesson learned. Thank you for checking it out!
here’s a good rule of thumb for people that are not video editors. There should never ever be music in any videos unless it is a music video, especially no music in instructional or speaking videos.
Wow, today I revisited this video, this is the FIRST one I ever posted on this channel.

I just started reading FAR/AIM with no help at all. Thanks to your video, I have got so many information now. Thanks for sharing!!!
This is easily the most entertaining description of how to use the FAR/AIM I've come across. Your sense of humor was great! Thank you.
