Integra Rear Sway Bar On 96-00 Civic

- I have a 2000 Civic EX sedan and it did not come with a rear sway bar from the factory. Since I drive a lot of back roads daily I wanted my car to feel tighter when cornering. My options were to buy an aftermarket sway bar but wanted a more budget approach. So I did some research and found I can use a 94-01 Integra rear sway bar. To mount it in my Civic I needed OEM Civic Si sway bar brackets, Si end links, and 1320 sway bar end link adapter inserts. This video shows the process of cleaning/painting my junkyard sway bar and install. The end result was awesome. Definitely a noticeable difference. Hope this helps :)

If you're installing a sway bar on a lowered Civic, get spherical end links so you can remove any preload in the sway bar
Great work. 😎👍
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Subscribe for more! 🙂
Is there any way to make the integra brackets work? The Civic si brackets are discontinued
wanting to do a stock sway bar setup on mine. stock setup better than none lol. Civic LX/EX front bar with Civic Si or Integra LS rear bar. For the rear, the holes are already threaded?
They are just through holes, not threaded. You will need nuts and bolts, but they are in the correct locations.
I drive a lot of back roads where I live and there is a noticeable difference when doing this mod. It’s not going to make it a race car by any means but it does make a difference. You can still buy the si brackets new. Probably not much longer so I would do it now if you’re going to do it.
The stock integra rear oem bar is 14mm, the oem si sway bar is 13mm. In a way it’s and upgrade from the si.
@@DA9enthusiast thanks for the info, I saw another video and the guy used the rear Si brackets and yeah, he used nut and bolt. I have F2 Type One coilovers but no sway bars because DX model. Still has noticeable roll even with coilovers. Of course, can get thicker sway bars n what not but I'm ok with a stock set up. no rear brace needed for the stock bars. 22mm or more in the rear is where you'll need bracing
what bolts and nuts did you use to installed the SI bracket on the subframe?
I just used basic hardware you can get from Home Depot. I think they were M8x1.25.
@@DA9enthusiast you got a link for the end link adapters?
@@DA9enthusiast i just see end link adapters for 22-23 mm. unless thats what im suppose to use
That’s what I used. 22-23mm ITR. They will work with the LS bar.
Do you put 2 of the end link inserts on each side of the sway bar facing in?
Yes. 2 on each side, stepped side in. Kit comes with 4 inserts.
@@DA9enthusiast awesome, do they just press in and stay? Or did u put something on them to stay in better?
They just sit freely in the sway bar. The end link holds them in place. I’ve seen people weld them but I think it’s unnecessary. I haven’t had any issues.
@@DA9enthusiast awesome man, thanks so much for the reply, love the car🔥
@@DA9enthusiastwhere do you find them? 3:40
where do you get sway bar bracket for Civic Si?
I just tried looking it up and it looks like their now discontinued. Im sure there's a website out there that has old stock. The part number is 52317-S04-000. Good luck.
@@DA9enthusiast Thanks!
I got them in Japan, but at a good price.
just saying you probably want to get yourself a rear subframe brace if you're gonna throw the car around corners with that sway bar installed... I've seen subframes tear where the bracket bolts go from not having a brace.
You don’t need one with a 13-14mm bar. The civic si and integra subframes were not reinforced from factory. Only type r models were reinforced due to 23 and 24mm bars. I’ve been running this setup for over 10 years.
@@DA9enthusiast yes I guess I hadn't noticed it is the smaller one you installed
