  • Got a 15mm sway bar from a DOHC Del-sol with all brackets, bushings, and links still installed on the bar and fabricated it for a 1996 EJ8 Civic. I installed the thing upside down, and didn't notice it until I added 3" exhaust for my turbo kit. EK. EX. 1997 1998 1999 are all the same. This is also the same bar as Acura integra, GSR bar is 1mm smaller in diameter (14mm). Also known as an anti roll bar, anti-roll, or anti-sway.

Why don't u use the sway bar links from civic EG? They are almost on the same length as the one from civic EK?

      The control arms are different.

@@user-sv5nj7ju6h I think this sway bar I bought came with them, and they didnt work, because they were too short or something. This job was a while back, and I forgot what I did yesterday.

how noticeable was the sway bar? Did it affect the way the car turns? Is there a chance of getting snap oversteer? I got a 15mm rear sway bar off a jdm ek civic si-r.

Those cars understeer really bad without it. Less body roll, and less understeer is very noticeable. It would be easy to change my mind, go with a 20, or 22mm rear sway bar, and the support brace for it. If you take the front sway bar out, and 22mm the rear, with stiffer springs in the rear than the front, you might get close to a snap, but I usually only feel a snap on rear wheel drive. FWD usually just understeers, and slides out.

I've got one from Civic EG, will it fit on my 2000 EK?

Should be the same bar. Just smaller diameter.

@@user-sv5nj7ju6h I had not. But since then, I installed a 24mm sway bar with a sub frame brace kit, so I can corner on 3 wheels. The factory one is small enough to not need a brace kit.

Love the craftsmanship man. I've got the 14mm integra bar, some hardrace 99si links, and the sway bar inserts you've got. I think ill just copy what uve done to a t this weekend. By the way, energy suspension makes the bushings you need. You can find em on eBay for $15. Only issue I may encounter is, my cheap aftermarket lcas have the 3 hole design for the rsb, and so far as I can tell, the si endlinks aren't going to thread all the way through. Do you think I could get away with burying the endlink threads on the lca and not nut up the end? If need be ill buy some oem style lcas. Anyway, nice vid.

Lit up if there is a hex end on the link stud, you can just screw them in.
