Lemmy was the ultimate manifestation of rock and roll. He didn't care about money, he never changed his music to fit the times. He never played nice when he didn't feel it, but was always up for a chat with a fan.

Lemmy was the realest of the real that ever lived. He never lived a single day where he wasn't Lemmy; the coolest, most bad-ass rock and roll cowboy of all time.
Lemmy lived on Jack Daniels and speed his entire life. Nobody ever out-drank Lemmy, although every rocker who thought himself a bad-ass tried. But Lemmy also NEVER lost control. He kept his calm and his cool, and was able to function perfectly while imbibing monumental quantities of amphetamines and alcohol.
He never touched heroin, though. He had a girlfriend who OD-ed on that shit back in the 60's. In his most vulnerable moments he would admit that she was the love of his life.

Lemmy was awesome. I went to see him one time and the show was delayed for three and a half hours. Motorhead played their full set, (about 90 minutes) then Lemmy said " we're gonna take a short break, and then we're come back and thank you for waiting around in the fucking cold" (it was snowing that night)
They took a twenty minute "working break" during which they sold and signed merchandise. They retook the stage and played ANOTHER full set.
The fans were always number one with him. That's why he's a legend.
      Sincerely,
      MHB # 1204

@Cristian Roth he was originally a guitarist, but on his first gig with Hawkwind(his first band), the bassist wasn't there but the bass was. That's where he got his thing going on. He got kicked out for speed, then he made a band named from one of Hawkwind's song titled Motorhead(a term for speed addicts)

The show was so loud, recorded at over 130db, that they were causing structural damage and plaster to rain down that 15 minutes into the show they had to pull the plug to prevent further damage and injuries.
