Lemmy once vacationed in the Virgin Islands. Now, they're just the islands.
I've just finished work, it's nearly 4am in the morning and this comment got me laughing so hard my neighbours will probably be bitching tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣
Nice turn on the chuck norris joke
@@anthonyausten3975
Glad someone caught that. More appropriately tagged to lemmy, however.
I was going to like your comment, but it seemed more appropriate to leave it at 69 likes.
He is a part of glorious Biomass now....moto fertiliser. ...
His voice sounds like that because he's consumed nothing but cigarettes and whiskey since he was 9.
Mark Kappe look up kmoorwthegoat
Kmoorethegoat
thats propably the truth....
It's also because he sings with his chin up. He sung like that as a reaction to all the crap thrown at him & fights that would break out during the early years playing at dive bars.
well actually it was from birth
He's playing a bass like a lead guitar.
Not really.
More like a rhythm guitar
You want to hear a bassist playing like a lead guitarist, check out Cliff Burton. He was the bassist for Metallica for the first three albums. Has a bass solo on the first one. He was totally insane, like Hendrix on bass.
@Cristian Roth he was originally a guitarist, but on his first gig with Hawkwind(his first band), the bassist wasn't there but the bass was. That's where he got his thing going on. He got kicked out for speed, then he made a band named from one of Hawkwind's song titled Motorhead(a term for speed addicts)
@@Cheeseboiga Hawkwind wasn't his first band, he played guitar in another band before he joined Hawkwind. And he actually didn't name Motorhead, either. He wanted to call it Bastard, but their manager renamed them Motorhead. Lemmy really didn't like the name and was pissed that it had to be changed, but it stuck.
Lemmy was the ultimate manifestation of rock and roll. He didn't care about money, he never changed his music to fit the times. He never played nice when he didn't feel it, but was always up for a chat with a fan.
Lemmy credited his singing voice to Jack Daniels and Marlboro. 😀
Balls...... Speedballs.....
Must be more to it
I lived on JD and Marlboros half my life. I encourage all young people to do the same. You can't talk them out of it. Then I tell them to look what it did for me. That gets their attention a little.
Paul Shamblin lol wtf
Didn't he drink a bottle a day and smoke 2 packs a day since he was 11? And then still lived into his 70s; that's badass.
And being a Motorhead and a Sussex man
Lemmy was the realest of the real that ever lived. He never lived a single day where he wasn't Lemmy; the coolest, most bad-ass rock and roll cowboy of all time.
Lemmy lived on Jack Daniels and speed his entire life. Nobody ever out-drank Lemmy, although every rocker who thought himself a bad-ass tried. But Lemmy also NEVER lost control. He kept his calm and his cool, and was able to function perfectly while imbibing monumental quantities of amphetamines and alcohol.
He never touched heroin, though. He had a girlfriend who OD-ed on that shit back in the 60's. In his most vulnerable moments he would admit that she was the love of his life.
FACT
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Rock n roll cowboy from the UK
Lemmy was smart too. He knew history.
@@kentonromero2791 Yes. He was a brilliant lyricist as well.
As legendary UK radio Dj Tommy Vance said, Lemmy was a fine writer in the true British sense of the term.
He’s Lemmy, dawg...that’s his voice
Lemmy was once asked if smoking would damage his voice and his response was literally "Have you fucking heard my voice?".
RIP Lemmy, you are a metal legend
And GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Geaux Tigers Hopefully they’ll be inducted in the R&R HOF next year 🤞🏻
For sure x(
@William Bennett RROHF is a joke
Lemmy is not dead!
Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister was one of the realest, most down-to-earth, and honest dudes in the Rock 'n' Roll universe. We miss you Lemmy!
Born to Lose, Lived to Win.
Killed by Death. \m/
Ain't he fuck like 100 dudes on 1 tour
Anyone could walk up to him in a bar and he would have a drink and a talk with you like you was friends. Real legend. Plus his ticket prices didn't go up in 30 years as he believed everyone should be able to offord to watch thier band play
@@wetkneehouston6293 My cousin actually met him in the early 2000s. Described him as "the kind of guy a metalhead wants as a grandpa".
If lemmy was transported to the wild
West in the 1800s he would fit in perfectly
@@andyb1653
Lemmy was awesome. I went to see him one time and the show was delayed for three and a half hours. Motorhead played their full set, (about 90 minutes) then Lemmy said " we're gonna take a short break, and then we're come back and thank you for waiting around in the fucking cold" (it was snowing that night)
They took a twenty minute "working break" during which they sold and signed merchandise. They retook the stage and played ANOTHER full set.
The fans were always number one with him. That's why he's a legend.
Sincerely,
MHB # 1204
Coach n.1 rule in metal: YOU DON’T PAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GUITAR SOLO. 😪
Truth!!! It literally triggered me a bit 🤘
Right, but that's what makes it so good sometimes. Check his freebird reaction iffen ya ain't yet.
Hold up!
Makes me think of the movie "Airheads" - "Who wins in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God? TRICK QUESTION! Lemmy IS God!"
Lemmy in the damn movie confessing that he was the editor of the school magazine lol
@@CenlaSelfDefenseConcepts I was wondering if anyone noticed that. Lol
Why is his voice like that? A quart (or six) of bourbon a day, and a carton of Marlboros every couple days, and you too can have a voice like an out of control gravel truck...
Edit- Lemmy doesn’t play guitar, Coach, he plays bass.
Word. Lol
@Daniel Hertzler airheads 🤟 wasn't he the editor of the school magazine too?
Jack Daniels was his favorite
@@ozlovescoffee5595 Jack & Coke
@Daniel Hertzler haha...yaaaaaas
That’s not Lemmy playing lead guitar, that’s fast Eddie Clark. Lemmy is playing bass guitar.
Truth
He never said lead, he just said guitar. Tbh you could be right but let's give Shaq a chance here.
Aleksa Pavlović He made the comment during Eddie’s guitar solo, that’s why I made my comment. I’m not sure how that constitutes as not giving Shaq a chance, but ok.
Lemmy played lead bass
@Tentacle Erotica you win the internet.
Me: *sees title*
Shaq: "Now this my first time checking out Motörhead."
Me: "Oh shit! Here we go! This is gonna be good!"
Brother you could sing this song you have exactly the same tone this is one of the greatest Rock songs in history :-)
David Mohr ....hahaha that’s what I was thinking
TRUTH
I was thinking the same thing would love to hear that version
In an interview a long time ago... Lemmy said "We're the type of people that if we moved in next to you...your grass would die"
REALLY SHAQ..YOU GONNA DO THIS WHEN IM TRYING TO GET TO SLEEEEP???
Facts
No bullshit
Just happens bro get on the level
Ok ok ok.. you new Motorhead fan... how about I am the Sword from their Bastards album?
No sleep till Hammersmith
"Lemmy why you tryin to outdo my hair?" - Everybody since 1979
Sultans of swing by Dire Straits. Singer is the lead guitarist and slays
or telegraph road
Live alchemy version tho
The only reason I’m not liking this comment is cuz it’s at 69 likes and I don’t wanna ruin it
Shaq lowkey sounds like him when hes singing "ace of spades" 😂
He does! LMAO
Lol I said the same
Maybe shaq is lemmy long lost son
For real lol
My guy triple H comes to mind every time I hear Motörhead ! You should of did his entrance , spit water in the air and all !
yep same
Agreed 💯
#itstimetoplaythegame
I was at the Wrestlemania when Motörhead was there live to play HHH’s entrance music live. It was BADASS
Or simply have shaq react to the song "The Game" or "The King of Kings"
Shaq - Lemmy was Jimi Hendrix's roadie before he left to start his own band.
He was in several bands before becoming Jimi Hendrix's roadie and then joined Hawkwind before forming Motorhead
Wrote and played Hawkwinds only number 1 Silver Machine
RIP Lemmy.
There's been none like you, and damned if we'll see your like again.
Lemmy- Bass/vocals
Fast Eddie- guitar
"Philthy Animal" Taylor- drums
R.I.P. Motorhead.
Lemmy started out as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix.
And next thing you know, the lunatic's running the asylum :)
Learn something new everyday, that's awesome👊🖕🤘🏻😜
He started playing guitar in the rocking vickers in 1966
Fun fact, in 1984, they played a show at The Variety Theater in Cleveland, OH, and has been dubbed one of their most infamous shows. The show was so loud, recorded at over 130db, that they were causing structural damage and plaster to rain down that 15 minutes into the show they had to pull the plug to prevent further damage and injuries.
Seeing him live was amazing. Took my back to my tony hawk pro skater days. Rip to this man.
Never clicked so fast. One of my FAVORITE metal songs of all time
Also it’s a bass the lead singer plays.
Years and years of partying is why lemmy sounds like that 🤘🏻
Indeed
Remember when he tried to get "healthy" and doctors realized that might actually kill him? Baaaha
@@CrashW because he was too reliant on substances?
@@Bendanna93 basically his body had totally acclimated to the booze and smoking etc. That it would have put him into shock to change his habits.
@@CrashW that makes sense. Pretty crazy.
Philthy Animal is one of my favorite drummers from that kind of music. Man he is just a powerhouse and so precise.
One of the first guys to really do the machine gun double bass
HUGE Motorhead fan here. Love your energy, and your insights about the meaning. So cool to see Motorhead reactions.
Shaqs level of passion is truly unique and one of a kind.
I honestly want to have a drink/smoke a blunt with 'im. You welcome to come visit Canada anytime, coach!
Hard to believe that lineup is gone now
Lemmy lived by the monocher of "Born to lose, Live to win"
saw them live in Plymouth, England, was the loudest noise I ever heard, superb band!
This is going to be good - 😄😁😄
3 of my favorite things:
Playing poker
Lemmy singing about poker
And Shaq reacting to Lemmy singing about poker😄❤😄❤
The song is short, like life.
A lot of Motorhead song are short.
The light that shines twice as bright lasts half as long.
Lemmy once said "I don't know why do people like Overkill, it's too long"
Love how right when Lemmy start singing my dude paused in amazement lol..RIP LEMMY
Dude drank 1-2. Litres of jacks a day, had his mail delivered to his local pub and have the entire rock and metal community consider him a god.
What a fucking life
That's lemmy with his unique voice. Rumor has it that was his baby voice as well.. RIP 🤘
Time for Iron Maiden’s Aces High...an all time metal anthem!!
Yessssss
favorite track man!
If Lemmy wrestled God who would win?
It's a trick question. Lemmy is God
Lemmy would be hittin 5 pointers on god, one after the other
Lemmy is the definition of metal / rock....
Phil Taylor passed away too ( drummer )
RIP to the gods 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
There was a brilliant documentary about Lemmy in which he said something like there were days when he didn’t feel like performing but he had it easy compared to plumbers up to their ankles in sewage. He knew that even on bad days he’d got it good. And he kept everything that fans sent him.
React to Overkill by Motörhead, you’ll see why it’s called that when you listen to it
3 insane guitar solos and pauses perfect do when driving home tired to wake you up.
Yes!!!
overkill should be called fuckin relentless
he should do this live version: ua-cam.com/video/EDB0dUWZUK8/v-deo.html Its like 10 times more insane than the studio recording
Yea Shaq would love it
Who doesn’t love metal head shaq, would love to hear some guns n roses
JusTreatsgaming Welcome to the Jungle but the official music video tho
@@alexbrownstone4939 That's a great shout!! Either that or kick it old school again and get him to listen to some Black Sabbath or ozzy on his own with Crazy Train
JusTreatsgaming - Lmao Guns N Roses? Let’s hear something less gay and more metal

Rhett Kraljevic - How about Be’lakor and Dissection
I love the enjoyment NLS finds by saying "the ace of spaes" like Lemmy. the ace of spades? Smile.
Shaq react to Pantera Slaghtered.
Trust me.
FUCK YEAH
David Soundfelly he might not be ready for that. Lol
@@BroncosGunner 😂
Or regular people
Thanks to the number of likes on this comment, "Slaughtered" might finally happen. I hope.
I use to kick ass on tony hawk when this song comes on lol
Lemmy, the godfather of thrash. Started every show with this line. "We are Motörhead. And we play rock and roll."
The intro is why i got into metal music. lemmy jumping on that mic with those lyrics is the best intro ever for myself to any song.
Shaq We gotta see your November Rain reaction before the month is over.
We? Lol

Any time you react to Motorhead, AC/DC, Judas Priest or Ozzy, that's an auto like from me coach!
Lemmy, a lost treasure! He wrote songs for Ozzy & they were very close friends. His death really hurt & affected Oz. Rest In Peace Lemmy K!! We continue to love & appreciate him through his beautiful music!! 🎶♥️🎸
Shaq I love when you start bopping to old rock. You just feel the music like you should. It makes me feel like its the 90s again and the world is rockin and life is good. If i had a time machine id take you back so you could feel music during its era. Imagine how rock from 60s-90s felt at the time. When it was new and no one had heard anything like it. Props for showing love to music history.
"Why you tryin to out-do my hair?"😆😆😆😆😆
I’ll always miss Lemmy. He’ll never be equaled.
Fan Fact: Lemmy started playing 6 string then moved to Bass 4 (Rickenbacker no less) and and strums the truck accordingly...like a God!.
RIP Legend Lemmy.
Hey Shaq, howzit. Lemmy is the vocalist and bass-player, the guitarist here is Fast Eddie Clarke. So many great Motorhead songs...I'm So Bad (Baby I Don't Care), Iron Fist, We Are the Roadcrew, Going to Brazil, and one of my personal favorites, Dancing on Your Grave. If you want to go heavy emotional, there's the ballad, 1916. Love your stuff, keep it coming.
"Who would win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God? ...Trick question, Lemmy is God." Haha. Shaq check out the movie Airheads with Adam Sandler, Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi...
Scott Loechel brooooo that movie is one of the fucking best 😂😂👌
I love that movie!!! Airheads taking over the radio station!!! Playing D&D

Trick question Lemmy is God

Hahahahwh
Don’t forget the Blow
Overkill wasn't that short
It's the rock way when some of your roots are in punk music. Short songs can fill an hour and half setlist real nice! R.i.p. lemmy
Didn't Lemmy get a bj on stage once?
the had that air blowing to get that air flowing. don`t let one of the greatest influences in punk rock and metal music get you down as a contender, then you ain`t got a hope. so do yourself a favour and crack a window or get a desk fan and get those locks flowing. great reaction man, keep up the good times.
Shaq you’ve got to listen to some George Thorogood.
How about Move It On Over?
Then top it off with One Bourbon One Scotch and One Beer 🍺
Happy Day Bad to the Bone brother
His voice is like that jack Daniels and smoking they are the godfathers of metals
Born Christmas Eve 1945. Got into rock n' roll in the 60's when England was the hottest place on earth. Was a roadie for Jimmie Hendrix. Co-founded one of the most successful "acid" bands; Hawkwind. Got literally kicked out of the band, as well as the tour bus, on the UC/Canada border when he was busted for possession of speed. Formed Motörhead, becoming one of the most important people in the invention of both Speed Metal and Thrash Metal. Drank a bottle of Jack every single day of his adult life and bedded over 2.000 women. Died 4 days efter his 70th bithday less than 24 hours after having been diagnosed with cancer.
No one will ever beat Lemmy, no one. If there was such things as Gods he would be the chief among them.
“The Chase is Better than the Catch”
I’m sure you heard them do Triple H’s music “The Game” before
Shaq, I love your open-mindedness and enthusiasm. You remind old metalheads like me why this music turned us on in the first place thirty years ago.
I'm two days late but so happy MetalHead Shaq is back.
“Mother” by Danzig, it’s a classic
Colin Campbell for real though

You gotta react to "Shout At The Devil" by Mötley Crüe
Death21metal that was pretty clever. Did you come up with that all by yourself?
''Why is his voice like that ?'' Dude, you are the right person to ask this question !!! LOL
Lemmy plays bass guitar. The only electric guitar, in this Motorhead lineup, is "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Sadly, this entire lineup has passed away. First, it was Philty Phil, then Lemmy, and then Eddie.
Such a great song. Speed Metal At 100MPH 😊🤘🎸🎶🔥

I won't say "rest in peace" cuz that man never rests... Not even in death.
Don’t you know? Lemmy isn’t dead. Another universe needed him more! ^_~
@@GrayNeko isn't that what "death" is? Leaving this place for a better one?
Anyway that's what I thought, cuz you know, Legends live forever.
Lemmy lived to the age of 70 and sounded like that til he died... sadly cancer took him from us December of 2015... RIP Lem!! That Guitar is a Bass guitar and he played it like a six string, that man did what he wanted and didn't give 2 shits who didn't like it.
Hi Shaq :)
I was in the hospital a while back and I was in the hall way with no call button, but I needed help. I called out s few times... Nothing. So I pulled out my Kindle, cranked the volume all the way up, and started "Killed By Drath", another really heavy Motorhead song. The nurse RAN over... " Sir! You can't do that here!'. I said that I had been trying to get her attention because I needed help. She said, "Give me five minutes and I'll be back. DON'T play the music sgainj".
Lemmy plays bass. The guitarist in the band is Eddie "Fast Eddie" Clarke, and the drummer is Phil "Filthy Animal" Taylor.
Tim Hutchinson drummer kicks ass!
Lemme got his name when he was younger being drunk in the bar asking everyone “Lemme a 5” so he could get more booze.
I heard it was for the slot machines.
@Robert Martin Got his autobiography. It was lemme a quid for he slots
Also in school know as "lemmy a quid till next week"
Lemmy used to grind speed into powder and snort it. Apparently he was also the nicest guy just a genuine class act.
While in Germany in the us army we snuck into a show after it was over and the security staff muscled our drunk asses out when we heard in Lemmys voice. “Let those yanks in”. We smoked with them and had shots. Those guys are the coolest motherfuckers I’ve ever met. Another thing Lemmy said was whiskey at night and vodka for breakfast. Words to live by.
If u can find it look for “iron fist” by motor head. Glad to see metal head shaq
