I was laughing at the inurig for the longevity of the worm! A piece of grass, a stick or a bite, is going to wreck the worm! This looks a lot easier to rig, and a lot less chance of being ripped to pieces! Thank you!
Hi from Australia! Just wanted to let you know this works on aussie black bream where the finesse zman 2.5” grub is the usual go to. I had to use the 4” gulp turtleback worm with 1/16 jig head as I couldn’t easily find 4” curl or ribbon tail plastic worms here. The gulp rips too easy though so I have some plastic curl tails being shipped. If you can find or make a curl/ribbon tail version of your bass worms and hook the bottom hook just before the ribbon tail, you can get an action close to the original S curl in the Japanese “craft” version. It definitely worked better than the standard rigged gulp worm for me, so I can’t wait to try it with some more durable plastics. Anyways, thanks for the idea. It’s simple yet not many people thought to do it. Cheers!
Thanks Glad it works well for you and thanks for the tip on the ribbontail, I will definitely try it as it sounds like a great way to get extreme action…
@@danielmanko4230 made a couple with different hooks. Used a jig head on front as my pass thru and a finess hook as the terminal end. Good action but didn’t catch anything. Showed it to an old college bud and I thought he was gonna piss himself he was so excited. Hunting this weekend but will be back at the lake the next. Will let you know. Mic
Have used your rig works better than the tubes and glue, did finde a better hook up ratio by using Trapper hooks, #2 dropshot, 90% hook up. thank you very much , works great here in s.fla canals.
This is really cool and a better setup!! I figured someone would have a better way to do this. I wonder how well this would work using a crayfish bait, rig it so it looks like it is swimming to get away and go hide in the rocks.
I thought nose weight would give it something to coil against but after watching your senko in the tank wonder if a weight in the tail is maybe the way to go so the worm will stay more upright and have more action
I was thinking almost 100% same thing, you get the credit, but please try it..very light weighted hook in a 1/ 32 ? Put it on the tail, of a plastic ribbon tail..You use a nice octopus hook up on the top of the worm.?????? Please try it, and see if the weighted tail is better, or weighted top???????
@@byronrhamy1199 I fished the weight on the front (0) and I agree that maybe weighting the tail would be a better action. Will try that next time. MANKORIG!! Absolutely Awesome!!
One question, how is your hookup ratio with the sliding hook? It's so free flowing it makes me wonder about hook penetration. I figure most bites would probably eat the bottom hook, but in the other cases it makes me wonder. Thoughts?
Most hookups, 90%, are on the bottom hook.. The top hook is to keep the rig aligned and the top hook is an added bonus for hookups. Two hooks are better than one...
@@danielmanko4230 Hi Daniel, I love the idea. Actually, I think the hook on the top is actually not a hook, but used as a guide. There may be a better way to guide the line (small swivel?). Something like a T with an eye at the bottom of it, but not a hook. I agree with you on the hookup ratio. Great job! Will definitely try it out. Could you send another link to the fishing video? I can't access it any more as it's private. Thank you!
@@Patiencelad The owner of the video was somehow hacked, and the video can no longer be viewed, sorry about that... It was a good video and he caught a bunch on the rig..
what if you put a small split ring on the jig head? it would be facing the correct direction. A bead would keep the end hook from pulling through the split ring.
I thought of that, and you are correct it would rotate the ring. However, the opposite side of the hook would still be better, out of the way and less chance for the worm to get hung up..
Shoot I think it's super K jigs they make a ned head but it's like made for drop shot or something but it has two eyes on it witch would be perfect for what you were talking about
That might work, however having an eye opposite the hook gives it the smoothest action. I’m hoping someone can manufacture one once the rig gets more attention.
Really simple approach and likely most bass have never seen anything actually move like that. I’m sold! What size hooks do you use on the demo setup? I was thinking you can downsize the tail hook to hide it better, but not sure if that will mess up the action ??? Nifty idea!
You can switch up hook size to fit your preference, however, stay away from hooks with tiny eyes on slide side as it may slow the action. I used eagle claw bait holder hooks for demo, they work well, I believe they were size 2.
@@danielmanko4230 Good advice. I never thought of the tiny hook eyes being a potential issue. In your video, it slides nicely, so I don't want to bugger that up. Really good concept. Wonder if you could *Productize-It* into a packaged product with worms, hooks all pre-rigged and make a few bucks to fund your retirement ;) Thanks for the good info. !
@@ricksonora6656 it is up to your preference on color of hook, if you feel red would be better then go with those. The rig can be varied to hooks, worms, weights.... as long as the basic principle is followed as in the video, sliding hook... let me know if you hook into any..
It’s not the same as the inurig. It’s missing that secondary action that gives the inurig that life like action. But I’m sure it gets bit as it does offer something different.
Problem with this rig is the fishing line getting caught where’s the other rig runs through the middle of the worm less chance of getting wrapped around things inurig will definitely be a better presentation hope this works out for you
While i agree this is much easy to rig it most definitely does NOT have the same action, Put the two rigs side by side and you’ll see the actions are quite different …
Try it and you will see, I have fished it and it works great. You can also read some of the others who have used it.. If you have a better method we would love to hear it..

I am working on a three hook rig similar to yours and to the INU with a middle hook in the bait and the line sliding through the eyes of the top and middle hooks to be tied off at the bottom hook, maybe with a tail weight as well. May give an action between your design and the INU. Will have to see if the center hook fouls the rig up, but a third chance for hookup couldn't hurt? Maybe inserting the middle hook up to 90 degrees out of line with the others could make it run smoother. Will give it a try soon. Been messin' with lures and rigs since I was a kid. Thanks for this new style of riging a worm love the videos so insightful
I caught 6 bass with this rig but with the bed version.I really appreciate your help. thank you
Glad to hear that it is working for you. What worms worked best and what state do you fish??
Excellent video, thanks. Way easier. Looks like a fish catching machine!
Great idea.. Will definitly be doing this all year. nice job!
You got the right idea my friend, there are so many options the way you are showing us. Thanks for sharing, wow this is awesome!
Thank you for this tip. I sure will try this one. Greetings from Sweden 🙂👍
"I f you wanna crochet an inu rig while I fish" is now my favorite quote to throw at every fancy-pants angler who spends way to much money.
Lol! Ya, waste of time....
Good vid & even better idea, faster & weedless. I think better solution to folding worm. I wanna b fishing when I'm on water not rigging stuff up!
Fished this rig today and swung 4 in an hour, great setup 👍

Amazing! I love it! btw, the link to the fishing video doesn't work. Does anyone have a mirror?
Much better. Should be good for those short striking tail grabbing days too
How does that work if the state you reside in only allow one hook?
Much easier to rig same results good job
What about using two small offset hooks instead of two drop shot hooks?

Not legal in my state, can't have two hooks on a line.

Try a "Hitch Hiker" screw lock on one end in place of the second hook. Will keep you legal and allow you to try this type of rig. Good luck.
