Nice variation - doesn't have quite the same presentation, but for the time and effort spent rigging it I'd say it's a great approach. A lot of guys have that "it's all worth it if it catches you one fish" mentality, but no matter how good of a fisherman you are you're going to get snagged on something and I just can't see spending over 10 minutes with TONS of extra supplies just to make one lure.
Post the vid of you fishing it. I was looking forward to you showing the effectiveness of both catching and its durability. Great tip btw I rigged several the Japanese way and they are time consuming.
To me, besides to simplicity of making the rig, the real benefit is that you don't destroy the worm every time a fish takes the top hook. With the Inurig, you have to rely on the tubing to protect the worm, and that usually fails. It's not uncommon to get one fish on a worm, even if the fish gets off, cause the worm is simply squished between the top hook and the end of the rig.
Lol I actually spent a few hours making multiple rigs on different colors and sizes so I can try them I made 3 of 6 different colors and sizes I find they prefer the pink and brown color so far
This way is 1k x better than the other way with the plastic! I spent all my time rigging one up with the plastic, 1st cast I. Snatched a 3lber but he also destroyed the rig.
This looks much much simple and less hassle to set up. I’ll definitely rig one up and see if I can catch a fish on video 😉

I made some inus, but found they have smooth movement with the coffee stirrers.
Thank you looks good

I can't see how the bottom hook was put in. Can you post a close up picture?
