If you take a fine tip awl or a large sewing needle to make a starter hole, it will make inserting the swivel a lot easier.

I like how you have no problem making random stuff. I did some experimenting and made my own Tokyo rigs and tie my own Gika rigs. this is WAY cheaper.
I can see the tail of this one getting stuck on the exposed hook.

Hey Andy would like your view on a wacky rig. I thought of instead of using 1 worm try putting2 worms back to back on a bigger hook

To atach the swivel, you can use a boilie needle... Grtz!

You need to run the line through the eye opposite the hook so it doesn't get tangled up with the hook. Or even worse fray the line and lose a big fish.

I actually used that rig the other day and it worked great. Instead of a swivel I used a small screw lock in the side of the worm.

It’s all about presentation. Any time you can offer the fish a different look, you have the advantage. With that said, I’d be curious at the hook up ratio with this system. I’m willing to try it though. Thanks for sharing. Looks great.

Randy, I'd be interested in knowing your hookup rate with the hook facing away from the rod tip. I know you are particular about that in many of your previous videos.

This is an interesting rig ,I would say better than inu because of less time to set it up. Your pal Matt did a vid similar to this but I don't think he using a jig head & he put in the twist in bait keeper on the tail then treaded line though the eyelit on that. Not the same but similar presentation. I think you're absolutely right, not as good as traditional shaky or texas but is definitely a different look & could make difference in situations. Always good to have & try as many tricks & mods to our baits to set ourselves apart from other anglers around us. Thanks for sharing, A cool rig for sure.

Use an ice pick or finishing nail to poke a hole through the worm first. That makes it easy to insert the swivel.

I played with it in the swimming pool, it requires you to throw PLENTY of slack into the line. I can see strike detection being an issue.....unless you're sight fishing.

I can see this rig being deadly for bed fishing because you can have action without moving the jig head. However, I’m a little concerned about the hook up after the bite.

The only problem I can see with this rig is every time you get a hit, hung up or a hookup it's going to pull that swivel out thru the worm. Guess you could just keep reinserting it in different locations so it's tight again. Thanks for all your great videos !

For creativity, just a try. But, simple is the best, do nothing is the best here high pressure situation, inuring rig catch nothing while any other rigs which less than 3.5", 1/4 oz rig catch ten, even the people for the first time fishing can catch fish, but inuring rig is nothing. Do not say big fish, or something special. Any how, for creativity, we go non stop.
