hi. if i buy a used EIS with key for it. do i have to buy the ESL with it too? i have a problem with my EIS for my 2006 mercedes e class. please help!!
If you buy a used EIS you have to find a shop that will copy the old chips onto the replacement one. It's the only way to make it work. All the other stuff can stay as the will think it's using the same old EIS.
@@senanfouad7650 you'd need all the modules that are encoded to each other, ECM, EIS, ESL. I think you will need to code all the other ones to new ones like instrument cluster, door modules etc. It's easier to just copy old ignition to new one.

@@demonbox666 so on ebay they sell ECM computer with EIS amd keys. And comes with esl.
If i install all do i still have to program anything?
