Just found this channel and I'll be watching it a lot. You may have already answered these, but what type of calcium supplement would be best for CKD? And how best to reduce joint and back pain with CKD?
I would really appreciate if either of you could talk how black seed oil affects the kidneys. A lot of people are taking it for inflammation these days but I noticed that it gives me more water retention. Thank you very much in advance!
Thank you 🙏 your channel has really helped me. I would appreciate if there’s opportunity to talk about oxalate content in foods. There’s a lot of conflicting info on oxalate... 🙏
My Nephrologist told me not to eat Salt. My question is: almost every food has Salt in it. I have purchased some Salt Substitute but want your opinion on whether that can be used. Did my Dr mean additional Salt in food or adding Salt to foods I am cooking. Thank you. I also want to ask you about eggs ?
Make sure to check out our two episodes on salt/sodium and hypertension as we address this! For salt substitutes, you want to make sure there is no potassium salts. So check the ingredient list for potassium chloride. Typically brands like Mrs. Dash are good as well as different blends of spices/herbs. We have an episode coming out in the next couple weeks on eggs too!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I've learned so much from the two of you. Am slowly trying to implement things, and that is of course taking longer than i would like. Anyways.. Still trying :) A question: Is there anything you think those of us with PKD should know specifically, or do we just need to follow what you say about CKD in general? I tend to agree with Dr Hasmi when he said that a low caloric diet and intermittent fasting seems to be the balanced way to go, instead of going to a plant based keto..unless we end up seeing proof that keto actually IS needed. ..but is there more we can do to benefit our specific situation? Much love to you both. I'm very grateful to you for what you're doing
You casually mention licorice and other things causing hiccups as you did today, posing problems for kidneys. My question is about the hiccups.. Since starting on a plant based diet I now regularly have hiccups. I don't eat licorice, what else might trigger them?
It's common sense to add H2O with ACV! I drink it 5 minutes before every meal, and I rinse my mouth several times to remove the acid from my teeth....Again common sense. Thank you
Thanks for watching! We had so many questions about apple cider vinegar, alkaline water etc
Thank you for this video! I am a subscriber to your UA-cam channel. It is helpful information. 🙂
Love the simplicity to help us. No fancy expensive water or gimmicks. Just wholesome plant base food.
:)

Apple cider vinegar as well as lemon can delaminate your teeth.
Isn't apple cider vinegar high in alkalinity?
Despite being acidic, vinegars and citrus are alkaline producing foods in the body :)
My pops ate a whole package of homemade licorice. He was puking all night after eating. No idea if cause of that. None of us had any issues.
oh wow! Could be the very high amount of sugar possibly too!

Glad you know to do that! Many people take shots of it so we wanted to clarify in our video :)
Common sense is , however not common!
