Hi! My husband got a job offer for a job in Jackson. We’ve been watching your videos. We’re just waiting on HR and for the firm offer to come through then we’ll get a solid date and can put our house in South Dakota on the market! Thank you for making these videos. It helps to get some insider info. :)
That is awesome! We’d love to help find your home here if you don’t have anyone lined up! We can also work with relocation companies if they are using one. Feel free to reach out anytime. Call or text. 6012926070
Love it at Mississippi prices or just right and the kindness of people the bad this it thats summer heats or 99 😅 nice vlogs about Mississippi
The best part is, since Mississippi is the heart of the south, every state and city in the south is a short roadtrip away.
Most racist state in America
I love your videos. I grew up in Jackson in the 60s. It was different then, but so was everywhere else! The world has changed. I still love Jackson, and visit whenever I can. I'm tired of all the negative comments, and the other day I watched a YT Video decrying the decay of Jackson. It went on for 30 minutes driving down streets on the Southside. I think they looked for the worst areas they could find. Most all capital cities have bad areas. There are many problems to be dealt with, but emphasizing the poverty and decay without mentioning all of the good points of Jackson just really frustrates me.
Thank you! we try to be balanced and honest with it. Its possible to acknowledge the problems without acting like thats all there is. Do you think you will ever move back home?
Good food, good people, good music and the delta with unique wildlife.
I agree!
J - Thanks for another great video! What trail was that you were on?
Its a trail along wirtz road in Flowood. It also connects to the trails that go around Pelahatchie bay at the reservoir
My husband was born in Biloxi. I hope to move to MS someday. How is Jackson different than Biloxi?
I'd say the coast in general has a little different flair to it than the rest of the state, but also still Mississippi. I would describe the Jackson metro as kinda like a big small town. Everything you need is here, but traffic is minimal, people are generally friendly and laid back. If you want to explore the idea of moving here, feel free to reach out any time if you have questions. 6012926070
I'm actually looking at moving to Mississippi because my job shut down in Georgia and they offered to move me to Mississippi. So, how is it living there?
If you’re used to Atlanta, it may not have absolutely everything like a city like that does, but you have more than you need, affordable living, plentiful opportunities and the people are friendly. Also traffic is minimal and it’s rarely crowded anywhere. I think it’s great, some people like to focus on the negatives, but you can do that and hate living anywhere.
I love it here. Ive been here for almost a year. I agree with you on heat lol
I think theres Way more to love here than not to love
Hey what's up man, I'm from Brazil and I'd know if there are a lot Brazilians peoples over there. I'm so interested to live in a rural area in USA 🇺🇸
To be honest with you, I have no idea. I'm sure there are some but either way, We'd love to welcome you to the area!
@@LivingInJackson thank you so much
No, try Texas Houston specifically or Dallas or suburbs of Florida
New York / miami / California best states
Miami is a wonderful state. Have you ever been to Mississippi?
@@LivingInJackson I have been to racist Mississippi not Impressed I know Miami is a city but the other two are states u yt people think your so smart
@@LivingInJackson actually my family left to California after the emmit till situation yt devil
@@RazberryTart566 I don’t know the Mississippi you claim to know. And I’ve been here for 10 years. I don’t know the Mississippi that committed atrocities in the past. That Mississippi is dead. I think you’d be surprised if you really gave it a chance. And sure, I like to think I’m pretty smart, but I’m sure you are too.
As someone who lived around Jackson for 5 years, there are many nice things there. However, the insularity of those whose families have been there a long time is frustrating. It's a Deep South characteristic - " You ain't from around here." Experienced the same thing in Louisiana. Jackson has wonderful restaurants and fine museums. Within the city limits needs some serious work from EVERYONE. Some people can be very kind. Some are as mean as snakes. I love you, Jackson, but you know I am right. I'm on your side. Don't make it so hard to defend you.
@@michaelreed4744 The water situation has been going for decades. I lived in Ridgeland, just north of the city in Madison County.
I Wouldn't Live South Of The Mason Dixon Line! New England For Me!
I wouldn’t live north of it! 😂 no where is perfect for everyone I guess
I live up north and many folks up here have the opinion that Mississippi is overall a racist state. Personally, I’d love to visit and see what it’s really like. From what I’ve read there’s a lot of economic potential in Jackson.
I've had people move from up north and out west tell me it was much more racist there than here. Everywhere has bad apples so they do exist, but generally people are friendly and welcoming. Come on down for a visit and see!
It ain’t woke around here not even a little bit.
