Thank you guys for this Pros/Cons video. As a New Yorker who visits Jackson often over the last ten years, I have come to love Jackson - it reminds me of Brooklyn with southern accents! : )
Housing here is among the most affordable in the country. Overall the median price is around $310k, but you can find 3/2's in the low 200's or less in most of the area. Thats not necessarily because our population is shrinking. The population in Mississippi is a whole is shrinking, but The Jackson Metro area is one of the few areas of the state where to population is growing.

How could you forget cost of living!? Probably the #1 reason someone from a bigger city would move to Jackson. A regular home in Aurora, CO has recently jumped up from maybe $200k in the last few years to around $550k. We're not talking extravagant homes, a basic house costs half a million. $400k could only buy a townhouse here plus you gotta pay hoa and just to get the house you'll end up in a bidding war which will cost you another $20k. That's a house that not long ago would've been $120k. From the looks of it you can still get a modest family home in Jackson for $125k, let alone $250.

Ok, can anyone help me? Are there any Japanese run salons in Mississippi? Hair, nails, what have you. I have gotten nothing but rotten service out here on pedicures and nails, and the only time my hair is ever really done right is by Japanese hairdressers. Not sure why, but it is what it is. It doesn't have to be INSIDE Jackson, I will go at least an hour away to get stuff done right. This last episode was just...well, sub par is putting it kindly.
That is right! I thought about that after the fact. We were thinking about the bowl game and got it mixed up. Super excited to see what they are able to accomplish next year. That is true as well about the brewery. The new developments are the focus of an upcoming video.
