Clean your humidifier often! I’m reading how people won’t use them for fear of mold! Wash it! There. Problem solved 😊
I’ll finally find out what the rash on the back of my neck at the hairline is Dec 16! I booked this appointment back last March! There’s now only 1 Dr at the Navy Hospital! I’ve tried creams for everything on this! Nothing has helped! I even used foot fungus cream. Nope. If it’s for sale, I’ve tried it!

I had a rash on my neck appear during winter... Derm asked if my scarf or jacket were wool. It only touched my neck because the sweater covered me elsewhere and wrists didn't touch as much. I guess it's a common allergy, sheep... If so, products with the ingredient lanolin also itch, it's a moisturizer from sheeps wool. Had to share for anyone this might apply for. 🙏

There are humidifier treatments you can use to help keep the water cleaner too. I still clean mine according to the manufacturer directions but it takes very little time because the water additive kills bacteria and mold. I use BestAir Golden Solutions Humidifier Bacteriostatic & Water Treatment Combo but there are other products on the market. They are sold at pretty much any hardware store.
I also highly recommend an evaporative humidifier. It works WAYYYY better than ultrasonic, the tank is large and much easier to clean, and I only have to refill it every few days.

I’m in my early 60’s and have normal to dry skin. I have found castor oil to be an effective over the serums ingredient to use at night on face, neck and upper chest, reducing lines and dryness.

Ive recently moved to canada which is dry AF and the dry air with the centralised heating causef my skin to flare up and break out. I researched and got myself a cool mist humidifier bcz my skin would not stop itching. That was one of the best decisions i made. I also incorporated slugging which i never needed earlier and its making my skin feel so much better. My tip would be to slug every night and in the morning use a facial oil to seal your skincare in and protect your skin from TEWL cz its a real thing. I am from India and my skin used to GLOW in india bcz of the humidity and weather there, even with the pollution i never had any skin issues. But the canadian winters are harsh and thus your skin needs a lot more than just a normal skincare routine.

Ooooh YESSS 🤗😂😂😂😍👏🏻👏🏻🥰, I can Imagine that this Expierience in Canada will be a real "Clima-Shock" for you....🫣😣😓🙏🏻.
I come to South of India and always more to Sri Lanka, and you can understand what a "Adventure" it IS since now more than 40 Years, to come out of the Winter in Germany to these different Clima, it is like a .... "BÄMMM" ... when the Doors of the Plane is' opened and WE can get out🥰😍❣️👏🏻
But I can swear: my Skin comes very fast acclimated...and I need only very little bit of Moisturizers - but of course a "Pound" of good SPF, because my Skin loved the Air, the Food and the Water - but the Sun IS too strong for my celtish, pale Skin-Type of a Red-haired Woman 🫣.
      But doesn't matter - I take Care...and then it's okay!
But I love it always to come Back and be there ...and I love also the Smell of the Air after the First Step from the Ladder to the Ground 🙏🏻🌹🌺🪷🌸🌺🪻🥀🪷🌺💖🌹😍❣️🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I only wash my face with cleanser at night, except for the mornings I work out. Is that a good exception to this rule, or should I only use water then, too? I worry about bacteria making me break out.

The Humidity is so important ..this our Grand-Grand-Mother had known hubdreds of Years before! They hang wet Clothes or Towels close to the Fireplaces and my Mom put something wet in Wintertime over the Heating-Enviroment - or what it is called ??! 🫣🤔🤗.
II feel it after a short Moment ...to take Breath is easier, and if a Child is sick with a Cough or something like this - it helps immidiantly ❣️🥰
Thx for to explain this dear Doc Idriss 💖🌹❣️🤗

You cannot skip morning cleanser when your skin is oily after night sleep. And it's acne prone skin. I live in cold sometimes below - 10 degrees, snowy and windy winter, and my skin is very dry and oily at the same time. After wearing scarfs my acne came back 😭 especially on the jaw line. I feel like I shouldn't live here...

Try a cold humidifier that has reviews that other users talk about how easy/hard it is to clean. I've switched from hot to cold years ago and love it! My oldest daughter and I are super sensitive to mold also so I really look out for it. I also looked into if the cold air+moisture can make you get sick, and from what I've read, by the time the air gets to your lungs, it's heated up by your airway and it's not cold anymore. It's not AC cold, just cooler because it's not a heating element that puts the vapor into the air. They do have warm humidifiers that you can put a little changeable floaty in that keeps the water clean and prevents mold growth. I hope you can find one that works, mine made such a huge difference for my skin and my sinus!❤
