I’ve not done this for my entire face, though I will. I have used diaper cream on eczema with relief. In the day I use one with a lower percentage of zinc and at night 40%. I live in the desert and this year I have dealt with the worst eczema I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve over used topical steroids and really need a good solution. I’ve wet bandaged at night with moderate success. I will try this. Thank you.

Can you explain further on how it’s beneficial? I use zinc oxide on my patients that get irritated and raw skin from moisture (urine/bowel incontinence) and those with venous stasis ulcers to protect the periwound and absorb excess drainage. I understand it can soothe the skin and create a barrier, but depending on the amount of zinc, it can also dry out the skin. What product is this? How much zinc does it contain? Just curious and want to learn more!

@@heidbI just looked up the product: Triple Paste Diaper Rash ointment. Can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Amazon. The active ingredient is zinc oxide at 12.8% with the main ingredient being white petrolatum.
This amount of zinc is not drying. I use Desitin max strength for my severely raw patients, it has 40% zinc oxide and definitely dries out their skin.
White petrolatum is the same as Vaseline and will create a barrier and restore hydration. The ingredient list is very small with no added fragrances! Looks like a great product and will be trying during the winter months 👍

So I started using calmoseptine on my face randomly after seeing it heal patient bootyholes so effectively... and it's *magic* for inflammation.
Edit-- sometimes (for peri areas or my face) after cleaning I'll mix aquaphor with the calmoseptine (or generic zinc barrier of course works) or apply a thin layer of moisturizer beneath it, which helps when the skin is extra extra dry

I’ve been doing this for years with Salubrin cream, I started as a teenager just applying it to zits, and loved it applied on the skin around my face.

I always do the same. Even the crazy rashes of my husbands skin going away. And it’s even good for acne prone skin as zinc tends to be anti-inflammatory ❤❤

Im 48 and I use Zinc for my face as well and it really helps, but I dont use barely any products, or have EVER had any treatment done. I just eat well and take some supplements.

When I had super dry skin in my 20s I did that every two days, it didn’t fully solve the problem until I got my hands on hyaluronic acid but it massively helped.

Whaaaat diaper cream lol😅😅😅 I never ever would have guessed! I’ve had that sitting around my house the past 8 years and using on little bums but never would have imagined putting it on my face. But I’ll give it a try!

Can you use any brand diaper rash cream? Can you use ones with fragrances or does it have to be fragrance free? Can you use it every day? What about people with sensitive skin and rosacea? Thank you.😊

Do you wash your face in the morning after basting? What’s the routine. I live in a humid tropical country but always in airconditioned environment, after losing much weight my oily skin started to get dry. Also 40 years old.

    A few questions :
    1. Is the zinc oxide same as in sunscreens ?
    2. Is this safe for pregnant women?
    3. How often can this be done ?

    • @jewelsbarbie

It won’t hurt to try it. A lot of people claim it helps to clear up their acne, bc zinc oxide is anti inflammatory. Use it on your skin after you cleanse and have gotten all the makeup, bacteria etc, from the day, off your face.
