BMW E46 Coupe rear light cluster replacement

The E46 is falling to bits, let’s replace the old rear light cluster & get it sorted!

How did you remove the inner gasket from the the old tail light?

Just pulled it away carefully, it comes off without too much trouble

The lights leak also and the boot gets wet, especially on the smaller part of the light

Does the inner trunk lid lights turn on when headlights are on?

The inner lights should only come on when the trunk is open, regardless of whether the headlights are on or not
