This woman is successful because she makes things that are affordable, modern, and great tasting for her family just like any of us do or wish we could do. Whenever she uses someone else's recipe, she gives credit where it's due. They're not obese because they're ranchers and burn their calories all day unlike city folk. Saying this looks disgusting, well thats your opinion. I happened to have made this recipe to the tee off the measurements i got on her blog for Thanksgiving and my family didn't leave not one bite! Don't judge a book by its cover. Those of you saying she pretends to be broke but she's a millionaire? Yes, she has money. But just because she's not dripping in Prada or Louis Vuitton doesn't mean she pretends to be broke, it's called being humble. Now to address that her husband looks racist? Did those of you accusing him of that know that on an episode of her cooking two of his best friends from college went over for the day and one was black? Yeah, I bet you didn't. If you don't like her, that's fine. Why are you on her page so concerned about what she cooks, eats, says, and does? I'm saying this because I'm a big fan and have even met her at a book signing. I guess its true that envy on success can be a disease of mouth. Keep up the good work Ree! Can't wait to tune into your new episodes on Saturday mornings!

My favorite cook on tv, I love her recipes and her fun lovin attitude.
I save the butter wrappers and place in ziploc bag. So when you need to butter a pan. Take out one wrapper and wipe the pan. The warmth of your hand will melt the butter

What a great idea. I remember my mom saving the wrappers but they were foil so she would just fold them over and place on the door of the refrigerator. In those days no ziploc bags. Thanks for the tip so they are protected and the fridge stays clean.
You do realize butter does go bad even in the frig.

i had the mac and cheese,foil cooked ribs,and banana pudding last night,my wife and i loved them all,first time using any if rees recipes they are awesome drictions are easy to follow and not a budget buster,,cant wait to cook this and many more of the recipes,thanks for shearing with the world

I love the Pioneer woman! She was the one who inspired me to get more serious about my cooking and her’s was the very first cookbook I actually cooked something out of! It was so good! Plus we both live on a ranch only I’m in Texas and she’s in Oklahoma.❤️
I love The Pioneer Woman myself. She's more down to earth and makes dishes for family, children would eat. I'm getting all her kitchen ware. Just love, love her and her recipes.

Am a food network channel addict, Ree is now my favorite, she cooks from the basics, she don't come up with some weird recipes and mixes it with crazy ingredients trying to them marry them.

My favorite pioneer woman and bare foot contessa. I enjoy watching them taking care of their husband and family. It’s good to watch. Actually all of them are good. They all are making food for their family. Looks like they are family oriented. I learned some of their cooking.

I love watching Pioneer Woman , she is down to earth and does not scream while cooking. Some cooking shows are hard to watch when all you hear is them screaming. Thankyou Ree
Same with Ina Garten. A calm presentation is easier to watch. I hate how some cooks are hurried and frazzled, since all cooking shows are edited down anyway.
I love how all the negative comments are just petty. EVERYONE'S suddenly a chef saying nasty comments while this lady is successful and her career is thriving. Sad how no one can just see something they don't like and move on. They always have to say something nasty rather than just go on and seek something or someone else they prefer.

Actually,, I'm not surprised And I like Ree. It's effing idiotic posters who practically stalk her in comments sections to lay into her about EVERYTHING. Last evening, people bitched about and ridiculed her orange chicken. I was so incensed I told off a couple of a-holes who provoked every scolding word they got from me!

The part where you top that with shredded cheddar cheese reminds me of Pizza Inn when I was a kid. Back when there was such a place (where I live, Luigi's takes its place), it once had macaroni and cheese with pizza cheese on top, and it was cooked exactly like it would be cooked on a pizza.

I love Pioneer Woman way more than Barefoot Contessa for the sheer fact that Contessa always has these outlandish ingredients and tools and acts like any average person would just have these things laying around. At least this woman keeps things real and simple!

Ina Garten doesn't cook for kids. Her cuisine is more refined. She's rich and cooks for rich people with more expensive tastes. This one has more of a housewife with kids style of cooking. If you want something more elegant use Ina; if you want kid friendly stuff use the Pioneer Woman.
To be honest I don't think Ina uses "outlandish" anything... her recipes are quite simple (compared to recipes from trained chefs) and the kitchen tools she uses can be left out without problems.
Alcohol evaporates when heated... so you're not eating it. What remains is just the flavour of the wine etc.
