Hi everyone, another job under the umbrella in high winds and heavy rain! It wasn’t a 5 minute job either. The metal was a lot more stretched that I initially thought! (P.s i still haven’t got my voice back sorry!)
Wow, not only is this guy clearly a master of his art, able to perform miracles but the quality, detail and production of these videos is second to none. Great work and thanks.
The videography is first rate. We can actually see the small dimples disappear as he is tapping them down. The description of the various tools, how it is going to be used, along with the desired effect, priceless!
Thanks, yes it takes a lot of camera set up time to try and get the right shots, I don't always get the right shots but when I do, it's great to give the viewer the same view that I get when pushing and tapping these dents out, thanks for your comment! 😉
I am certified in automotive collision repair and have worked in a few body shops, you sir are amazing. It takes years to become this good and there are guys that couldn't have done a better with filler and paint.
I was a body man for 13 years. No matter how big of hits I repaired, my favorite times of my career were during hail storms, watching the PDR masters work. Nah that can be PDR'd, I would say. Ya I ended up buying lots of rounds for those guys after loosing the bets... Truly masterful work some of these folks are capable of.
Very impressive, especially with such a sharp stretch. I've had this PDR done on my car twice. Each time they said they couldn't do a good repair and each time i was unable to see the repair.Respect to you Sir.
That was absolutely awesome what you did. I never would have thought you could have done what you did without having to repaint. Great job. 2 thumbs up!
Thank you, jake, you made us excited about the repair ourselves. A car hit my car in the middle of the front and back doors, and the biggest damage was the end of the back door because the door is thicker than that place. I will try to fix it with your advice. You are really great and you deserve all the respect.
This is the best way ive seen someone show something to explain it, just wanted to say good job making it easier to see, and as someone with bad vision i thank you :)
Brilliant work. As a viewer I really appreciate you touching on each tiny detail you address along the way, breaking it down into sections and then steps. It's really great info to learn and I greatly appreciate your effort.
PDR is a very under appreciated job. This was phenomenal work that I'm going to assume didn't get compensated for what it's really worth. The epitome of "there's an art to it".
Wow, that is one amazing repair. Great craftsmanship! If you were in NYC, I would love your service to repair a dent on a classic. Parked unattended, sideswiped. People adore this car from all over.
This is really impressive. My ex bf does traditional bodywork. I suggested lessening some minor dents on my car by working on the metal, at least so they look better. I wasn't expecting perfection. I didn't even know this was a real method. Well, he totally dismissed my idea, saying it wouldn't work. Looking back, he probably knew all about paintless dent removal, but saw it as "the enemy". Too bad. He could be great at this and it seems like the techniques and tools will keep improving.
You are an artist and produce great videos. Although I had nothing to do with PDR until now but your process, thoughtfulness and details are making me appreciate your art!!!!
You really are a wizard. This is the 3rd vid from you I'm watching, and I get more impressed each time I see you in action. Awesome job, indeed. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
yet again Jake, just amazed the end results you acheive .although you said this one maybe wasn't out perfect still looked brilliant .superb work mate.also want to wish you and your family a great xmas and new year:) .
I'm finding these 1st Track Dents videos quite addictive. The level of skill and commitment to flawless results show a true artisan at work. As a native of Southern California, I always wonder if it ever doesn't rain in England? All those beautiful vehicles and frequent rain must drive you folks crazy. Lol. Cheers, Mate from across the pond.
Hey Ron, I'm glad your enjoying the videos, I enjoy making them. To be fair the weather isn't too bad all year round, although I have had a bad run of persistent rain lately that has driven me crazy. I do also have to count my luck as there have also been many jobs where I have just finished and then it starts raining. The worst conditions in my opinion is bright sunlight as the sun is just blinding. The best days are dull cloudy days as the light conditions are perfect! Thanks for your comment!
@@1st_track_dents You know, I watched Wheeler Dealers when it was filmed in England for many years and overcast and fog were frequently overhead as well. I suppose that this is how I formed my impression of the English weather. Also, I'm being a bit cheeky. Take care, my new friend.
@@ronlheureux7623 It's funny how we are just a small little island but the difference in rainfall from the top of the country to the bottom is very significant. That's probably why Wheeler Dealers has moved over to the USA, take care Ron!
PDR Always amazes me. I worked for a dealership and I was over the detail department. PDR Guys would come every other day and I would give them the jobs on the vehicles they had small dents and they did great jobs they sometimes painted mirrors and bumpers and spots on doors and so on.
Very nice job mate, when I was working at Holdens here in Australia we were using very similar tools and doing the same things with new cars before they left the factory, why because some cars get damaged during assembly
Excellent technique, Jake. I wished this was applied back in the 70s when I was a panel beater. Instead, I used a dolly, hammer, putty, sanding and paint. Tedious work. 🙄
Hi Mick, I was a panel beater in the 90's too and looking back probably 50% of the jobs I did could have been repaired with PDR instead of being sanded and filled. So much quicker, cleaner and less polluting! All the best:-)
Thanks Zan! Going into the winter now I will be out in these conditions for months now, used my large umbrella today already on 2 jobs and the forecast isn't looking great for the rest of the week! It might sound strange, but I do get a great feeling of satisfaction completing a job in these conditions and beating Mother Nature! 😂💪💪💪
Hi everyone, another job under the umbrella in high winds and heavy rain! It wasn’t a 5 minute job either. The metal was a lot more stretched that I initially thought! (P.s i still haven’t got my voice back sorry!)
You definitely earned your wages on that 1 Jake! Excellent result in poor conditions even more credit due. 👍
@@Bewareofthedog69 Every job lately has been in the wind and rain, think I need a bigger umbrella or better still a workshop!
1st Track Dents your amazing brother 🍺👍🏻🙏🏻
Great video! Even thought I’ve always said that Nissan Note is the worst car ever made..
Wow. Amazing job. Subscribed.
This man is the ESPN of dent repair, analyzing the damage, the size, the form and making a plan of attack then a play by play.
He's the only one I think could handle the ""dent"" on my truck bed.
Only the lib propaganda is missing.
Sorry, I never saw your comment before, I struggle to keep up with them sometimes but just saw it now and wanted to say thanks! 👍👍👍

Why would 141 people dislike this amazing metal art work?!!
As I work as an inspector for an auto assembler, I find this process rather interesting. Nice to see that the dents I catch can actually be removed!
I bet part of the satisfaction of this job is seeing the customer's faces when they see the incredible results.
Yep, it must be a bit like a rescuer bringing a puppy home!
Craftsmanship! Something the world needs more of
Sherlock Holmes of dents.. This guy is a genius.
As a car tinsmith, I am very impressed with your skills.
I didn't think you could PDR something with such a sharp stretched area. Remarkable results! Also very good diction
I’ve detailed cars for a long time, and I’ve just roughly learned another way to be better at it. Great video!
so you would say the video made an impact on you?... or maybe..that it stretched your imagination a bit further?.. LOL

Bloody hell, thats amazing. I didnt think you'd be able to do that quite so well because of the stretch and distortion of the top line.
Good work.
More effort went into that dent repair than Nissan put into building the Note. Great to watch
