Hey Mr steel I am a body tech still learning and working.. I started in 85 I love what I see in Pdr seems like the way forward and may I say you sir have an incredible, dowtless hard one talent
I have done similar to this using a friction jack...but back in my day we hadnt figured out that hot melt glue holds this well. I had to remove paint and weld on pull plates. I am in absolute awe that this is even possible.
Most impressive the way that glue and 2 x 4 could hold up the weight of that Daytona porta power. Amazing repair. Body Tech of 35 years practice with PDR rods and cold glue pulling and glue pulling for 10 years now
1 month in doing body work for a high-volume repair shop, I can't wait to get some tools but flintstone tools will work until I can afford to. I couldn't believe my eyes when you pulled that dent that would save me some time. been watching videos for a month now and the PBR are the good ones. Its amazing what you can learn online.
Out of the trade for some time Had about 18 thousand in tools that are now useless because it's either panel replacement or total the car Very sad for real body techs
Amazing skills! I’ve never seen anything like This. Great stuff man ! I don’t know too much of dents and such things but I can tell you this work was magnificent
Amateur here, but done some bodywork and welding, and watched lots of your videos andused some your techniques, too, to bump out some dents, but I was pretty surprised when that PP pulled that fender Forward away from the door and spread that dent back to near normal ! Great work! Really pays to know the mechanics of moving metal.
Who would've thought, hot glue and wood blocks! Thank you man! The suction cup, would not hold on to the dent on my MC gas tank. Think you just gave me the solution. Again, Thanks!
Very impressive man of steel. You are one of the PDR guys on UA-cam I’m seriously thinking about changing careers and I’m learning a lot from you Mahalo from Hawaii
I have a 4 ton Big Red PP and it works great with the orange pull tabs or blocks of wood. I love the new metal medic lateral tension system with the new anti rive pull tabs.

I would love to learn all your tips. I love buying repairable cars and trucks to work on and sell. This would be most helpful. I'm also a welder, so the two trades would complement the other. Awesome video my brother.
I’m new to the channel, I’m looking to learn pdr. I found your videos to be very helpful. I do mechanic work now but is switching over to paint, body, and pdr
Thank, Thank you, Thank you, You are the best, Keep up the good work, You are a car super hero🎉, We love you, Thanks for not being selfish and instructing the public, Your time and effort it's greatly appreciated.
Have used a portapower jack for almost everything haha. I got into doing bodywork as a kid restoring old classic cars with a old guy I worked for and learned from then for about a decade I did custom car work shaving frenching chopping sheet metal shaping haha use to always be going to to big events and have a couple shop trucks usually bagged lowridders but idk the market got where the only clientele for that work locally was people who wanted what they couldn’t afford and you ended up owning half the vehicles you worked on then had to sell a custom bagged vehicle that had $50k in hours on it and daily driving it was not a option haha . I only paint my own stuff nowdays are relatives are freinds I’m a painter at heart but the prep work mainly the body work is what makes a good painter. I loved putting some older Cadillac taillights in a in a newer truck with fully shaved handles and a hand made grill Building custom steel wheel wells and all the fun stuff. I finally sold the last frame dropped 1/2 ton I kept it for years as a toy but idk I’m getting older I don’t like the attention myself anymore I like a stock pickup preferably a lariat on the insides and a xlt on the outside. I do have to admit I never used a hot glue gun and some wood blocks on a body job ever haha. I’d been interested in seeing the reveal on the door and hood with it shut at the end and to the bumper how well it lined back up. It looked a lot better than what it did I’ve never worked in a insurance job shop but I’d of prob ordered a new fender painted it matched the clear orange peel as best I could to the old paint and had a laborer install it. Id hate to argue with someone it not being good enough and you could always get it close enough for most peoples eyes like this but idk I’ve had people complain on jobs and try to beat up the price on some show pieces haha I always tell them same thing if you don’t like it I’ll take it all off and give you back your car your material deposit is gone though. Your choice. After I had done went over the car with a white glove and a flashlight if someone was complaining about something I new they were just trying to be cheap. My best customers where always the ones you would least expect though the more years in prison they had done the faster they would hand you cash haha. The guy just was a local business owner who could easily afford it good luck he’d be the asshole who didn’t like the color he picked out haha. Man I’m glad I’m out the business just thinking about it but I do miss the work part I enjoyed the hands on work part oddly I just hated everything else like dealing with people haha.
Once again, I am seriously impressed. I never would have thought to do it like this. My approach wold have been to push the body line out, using a 2X2 horizontally against the line. I dont have fancy modern PDR tools. So I would have used an old leaf spring to leaver off the tire on one side. The round "Bushing" side of the spring would push against my 2X2 from the back. While under pressure, I would be working the crown with my slapping spoon, and then my big Snap-On dinging hammer (the big round one with the shrinking face on the one end, smooth on the other). There is no way I could have done this without breaking the paint. I would have to do the final finishing using old school pick and file methods (starting with sand paper to minimize metal removal). I am going to start a management position at a shop soon. I will be making sure all the bodymen see your videos.
Thanks for your excellent presentations. I have done some small things for myself and need to do some now on my minivan, so I am trying to learn things. Peace.
I'm getting a HF Porta Power your vid gave me insight to help me. My right fender is a little messed up and the bumper, valance need replacement. I was checked by someone that was eating Sunflower Seeds While on their phone on a Service road at 17 mph impact when I was behind and they Jammed their brakes on hard as hell while on the clock. I diverted but clipped em. I'm wondering how to shape the wheel well since the impact slightly displaced the fender flair. I also have to fix a mount bracket #10 on the Chassis on the 2003 Tacoma since it was pushed in 3/4 to 1 inch. Looks simple enough. Thanks
I'm thinking about starting the next chapter of my life with a new career and PDR and my part of the country seems to be non-existent except the dealership level and a guy that travels around and works on dealer vehicles I would love to get into this I've been watching different videos of yours or other guys so I'm All About Learning there's just nowhere locally to go to pick anything up and I know a lot of it's self-taught technique but there are things that I think a professional like you can teach and obvious like me to bring me up to speed quicker to have a viable income in the long run
