  • Previously owned Tronxy X5SA was purchased from Facebook for work. It was disassembled and squared up and all loose screws tightened up from the poor assembly done by the PO. After being told the level sensor had issues and needed a firmware update, I contacted Tronxy to get some firmware. it looks like they send me the Marlin firmware to update away from the Chitubox firmware that came with it.
After the first update, the bed moved down and away from the level sensor. More back and forth with Tronxy and they sent another updated firmware. The new firmware was one step closer and the bed moved up towards the hot end firing leveling. The problem is that it the bed didn't stop and slammed into the hot end and started skipping the z-axis steppers until manually stopped. After seeing things go in the right direction, I started checking all of the connections for the level sensor and found the PCB in the Gantry box with the upper ribbon cable connection had a broken level sensor ground. A quick soldered on jumper wire and some super glue fixed my problem. I forwarded this info to Tronxy and they said they'd send me a link to purchase a new replacement board.

hello friend, I have a problem like yours, the Z axis does not stop on the sensor and continues to rise endlessly, I rang all the wires to the motherboard and everything rang well for me, I did not find any broken wires, what could be faulty? advise me

I would attempt to contact tronxy. They sent me a firmware update to try and help originally and it changed the way the bed leveling acted even when the wiring trace was broken. After the repair the auto level has been working ever since.

It took a few hours to a day to get a reply, but the steps they gave were simple enough to follow.
