    Hey, I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting this and putting all the effort into making it. I am a very shy person and get anxiety about talking in discord servers with so many people rather than somewhere like Reddit where it's easier for people to ignore or not see your posts if it's not what they're looking for or something they're not knowledgeable about you know? So, I was unable to find ANY instructions online literally anywhere about making this upgrade. Your video is the only info I've seen between UA-cam/forums/websites I searched about adding the 3x Z/kinematic bed mod, except for one single video where the guy had designed the system himself and i did not like it, as his wasn't designed with VzBot parts in mind.
    I currently have an X5SA Pro that is mostly stock with only upgrade being an Octopus Pro board and I'm trying to upgrade it to Vz330 AWD just a few parts at a time (I'm poor), and I figured that starting with the machined aluminum bed and triple Z mod would be the easiest places to start.
    Current plan is to print the VzBot motor mounts for the "2WD" version, buy whatever belts/pulleys/screws I may need and keep the stock motors for now, install aluminum bed with backlash nuts, then buy what I need for the triple Z mod, then upgrade the motors. Might upgrade motors before the triple Z idk. Anyway, thanks again and you've inspired me to maybe actually get on the Discord anyway
    OH btw, the video is great :) very well done and clear, thank you!

    @KamiTech thank you. I will use your information to further fix/modding my al ready modded Tronxy X5S. Still had a lot of problems with the bed and so I bought an Bambu Labs P1P for the 3D-prints I (or my wife) need/wanted. The P1P can/will help me to print the parts I need for the (maybe partly) conversion to a VzBot.

    I wonder how much would need to be changed with the triple Z to make it fit a X5SA 400

    • @outbakjak
      @outbakjak 5 місяців тому

      Probably just get linear rails/screws that are however much longer the difference in Z axis build volume between X5SA Standard/Pro and the 400. So, I'm not actually sure of the build volume of the standard X5SA but assuming it's 330 mm on the Z axis for example, and the 400 is exactly 400mm on Z axis, then you'd only need to add 70mm to the lengths of all linear rails/screws that he recommends for triple Z mod on the video and in his BOM

    Its now been awhile. Are you still using the tripple Z and AWD together? How do you like it after all this time?

      AWD didn't really change much as it has enough speed as is, but tripple Z pretty much ensures i always have perfect 1st layer without doing anything manually.

    Hello. I have 2 X5SA and I'm starting with the Triple-Z conversion. Where can I find the motor mounts for Triple-Z to print ?
    Thanks

      In the video he is using upper gantry motor mounts stock from the VzBot project, I believe, but pretty sure he said he just bought the triple Z parts from the RatRig store, so search for the latter? RatRig project website would also have the printable files if there are any

    Would you say that buying a stock Bambulab would be more cost efficient and more quality and speed?
    I already have a basic 40mm Tronxy x5 and a Anneth A6 (since about 5 years).. Sure it's way cheaper... but... Ha.. there is always a better fish I guess!
    If I was new into the hobby, I think I would go straight to the Bambulab.

    • @KaminarisTech
      @KaminarisTech  9 місяців тому

      No, no and no. Bambu is good printer if you don't want to tinker. VzBot is going to be cheaper faster and produce better quality. But it requires skill and effort.

      @@KaminarisTech Very interesting... I'm curious to see how your less than 15 minutes Benche compare with the 15 min perfect one from Bambulab.

      @@alexandrevaliquette3883 you can find may videos of speed printing with vzbot

      @@KaminarisTech You said it faster and produce better quality. So, can it print a perfect Benchy in less than 15 minutes? If it doesn't, well, you claim is not supported by facts. And for the price, we also have to compare the total price for the additional hardware to get there. So, what is the total cost of the Vzbot (kit + all the mod).?

    • @KaminarisTech
      @KaminarisTech  9 місяців тому

      @@alexandrevaliquette3883 First of all, I am not the author of VzBot, i just made a printer that borrows a lot of design from VzBot. Second, VzBot is capable of printing 5 minute benchy, gantry is capable of pretty ridiculous accelerations, but material (plastic) is incapable of solidifying that fast. So Yes it absolutely can print benchy with same quality in 15 minutes. As for cost, mine is around 800$ right now. You can make one for ~400$, full kit is 1600$, and anything in between depending on your needs.
      But as i said, it requires skills to put together and time.

      I lost count at some point. I guess at this point is close to 1000$
