    This firmware solved all my troubles with my printer! Was about to trade in my Ender 3 V2 for Ender 3 V3 SE but I dropped that thought after installing this FW. Printing's much more smoother and this solved the problem where my printer would fail to print after homing.
    Big thanks to you for introducing us to such an awesome firmware!

    Thank you for this. Your video walked me through the jyers install a couple years ago. After taking more than year off from 3d printing i recently fired my v2 back up. I was sad to see the jyers firmware had stalled since it made a huge difference. Glad to see this available and have someone explain the process so clearly

    I've chatted with Jake Myers in the Ender 3 V2 group on facebook several years ago. What I think is going on with the Jyers firmware is that Jake is a college student (or was at that time) and apparently he now has other demands on his time.

    great video as usual Bryan! Your videos make this a lot less intimidating for beginners! I put off updating my firmware for a long time until i saw your video on editing and compiling the jyersui firmware. Now upgrading my Ender-3 V2 is not that scary anymore. I've upgraded a bunch of things, like micro swiss direct drive extruder, bl touch and dual z axes.

    Great, thorough video! I'm glad that you covered this terrific firmware. When I got my printer last year, I was going to install Jyers based on your earlier video, but I was really concerned about the lack of updates and support. I gambled and installed the MRiscoC firmware and have been really happy with it.

    This firmware is AMAZING! Thank you Bryan for this guide. As a new 3D printer user this was like man discovering fire! Finally I can control my mesh level for first layer control for a non-auto leveling bed! This type of control and user experience is what ALL printers should be striving for.

    Thank you!! Your videos are so helpful, step by step simple instructions. I've been wanting to do this upgrade since you first put it out but I am always so nervous about messing something up. I've since upgraded to the E3 V3 SE which makes me more apt to tinker with my V2. So the first thing I did was find this video and made the jump. I wish I would've done this when you first published this video but again... my apprehension got the best of me. I upgraded the firmware with my CR Touch and the screen, super awesome upgrade!

    Thanks for showing us this firmware! I did it, but when I rebooted it, all the icons were just blanks. I was however in luck, the display was listed amongst the compatible ones. I also flash the new firmware for the display without any issues and, once rebooted with the second new firmware, all looked absolutely fantastic! All seems to be working fine, I only had time to check/compare the basic values and I performed the homing with a promising result.

    I have 4 x S1’s one has this software, I installed it after a extruder repair.
    The bed levelling and z-offset features are so much easier to use compared to the stock firmware.

    Bryan, Thanks for a great video! I just joined your channel and look forward to watching the rest of your V2 and general content. You have rekindled my interest in 3d printing on the V2. A few years ago, I bought a V2 during it's pre-release offer and then got distracted by life. That V2 still sits in my closet in its original box, unassembled and unloved. Thanks to your video, I'm once again planning to assemble and learn how to use it. It occurs to me that assembling the parts that came in the box might make a good museum piece, but it is probably better to buy the current best-of-breed components and build it up right from the start. In addition to the items you mentioned (the 427 board, the BLTouch bed probe and the BIQU H2 V2 direct drive extruder with the E3D Revo hot end), are there any other upgrades you would suggest out of the gate. Also, do you know if the screen module can be replaced as the one I have is probably too primitive to accept the icons upload. If I going to do this, I want to do it right. Purchase Links (even affiliate links) for any components you recommend would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a great video and also thanks for any advice you choose to share.

I had to re-level each time I ran another print, and it still wasn't right. With the MriscoC, I ran the guided tramming first, then the mesh levelling, and it has held perfectly. I wanted to say thank you. I just replaced my Ender 3 V2 mainboard out of necessity to the new BTT SKR Mini E3 V3.0 and have also the Ender Extender kit installed. There isn't any pre-compiled firmware for and Ender 3 V2 with a 400mmx400mmx450mm setup. I modified the stock Marlin Firmware bugfix 2.1 to be the correct settings for the board and XYZ size. The default Marlin UI is just too basic for the V2 display. I tried to use the CrealityUI config and it wouldn't compile. This version is just magic! I did a lot of reading and the developer went the extra mile and create a special configuration repo where he added a Python GUI that allows you to select from some common features. Additionally he added the ability to allow you to configure different settings from the Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h files. I simply created a new JSON file with the updates to the X_BED_SIZE, Y_BED_SIZE, and Z_MAX_POS to match my extended setup. Sure enough when I ran the gui my new 'Extended' config showed up. I clicked on the generate button and it modified the config files for me. Also modified the platformio.ini file to properly load in the BTT mainboard, stepper motor drivers, etc. Copied files in to his Marlin folder, and let PlatformIO do it's thing. Flashed the new mainboard, and display and works perfectly! Thank you again.

    I have been using this firmware for about a year now. All of my V2s have Sprite Pro direct drive extruders with CR Touch probes and this firmware lets me not only tweak the bed mesh size (I like the 9x9 mesh), but I can also specify the probe offset so that I can maximize the area that's probed. The Z offset and tramming wizards are invaluable, too. Hats off to Miguel!

    Bryan, glad you finally covered this firmware. I've been using it for a while and it's so much better than stock. There's a Unified Mesh bed leveling firmware available as well if you have a BL Touch. It's awesome as it makes tramming and leveling the bed a breeze with guidance on which knob to tighten or loosen and even shows you a visual of the heights of the leveling points in the mesh. It makes it super easy to get a perfect first layer.

    I've been running this firmware for a while now, and it has made life a lot easier with the E3V2. I was very disappointed with Jyers, because it was never really completed. Even the most recent version of the firmware had a bunch of issues and limitations that I encountered. Thank you for putting this one out there, the more people that know about this firmware, the better. I still haven't played with some of the more advanced features in MRiscoC's firmware, yet, but am looking forward to checking them out over time.

      Jyers was also slow and using the S-curve acceleration destroyed the print quality on a bowden printer

    Ive been running the MRiscoC Professional Firmware on my Ender 3 V2 for almost a year now. LOVE it! I have the board that wouldnt work with the Jyers version. Im running the Sprite direct drive extruder with the CR Touch bed leveler, and dual Z axis, and the Professional Firmware has worked flawlessly with my setup.

      Hi mate, I have the same setup as you currently on jyersUI. I have the 330C hotend but jyersUI won’t let me. Does MTiscoC allow for 300C or do I need to compile my own

    I installed mriscoc on my ender 3v2 over a year ago and figured it was time for an update so needed to refresh my memory on the process 😂
    Could I ask what spool mount your using on the printer in the video? I've currently got a standard side mount fitted, but as I'm somewhat limited on space, your one looks like it might work better for me.
    Cheers 👍

    Thank you for this! The main reason I switched to this firmware was, by default, the new print bed area with this build is 230x230mm (which I needed for a large build) and this was (by far) the easiest way to go beyond Creality's stock 220x220mm default.

    • @ronnymatalalampi9770
      @ronnymatalalampi9770 6 місяців тому

      hahaha you could have change those settings in cura and use 230X230

    • @ChrisSchroederPurdueEngineer
      @ChrisSchroederPurdueEngineer 6 місяців тому

      @@ronnymatalalampi9770 You can set it to 230x230 in Cura, but the stock Creality firmware (physically) forces it to 220x220. It will truncate/cut your printing area right off! So no, it requires different firmware that allows a larger print area.

    • @ronnymatalalampi9770
      @ronnymatalalampi9770 6 місяців тому

      @@ChrisSchroederPurdueEngineer not sure about that. Both on my stock ender 3 pro and ender 3 v2 i could make it go out x+ and make awfull noise.
      It was through octopi thoo.
      If it makes any differens.

    I've been using this with my 3V2 for a while, at first mostly because it let me set the maximum height _without_ having to recompile, and it's been great. And since I extended the height of my printer, that's kind of a necessity. Love it.

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  11 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, that feature right there -- the ability to adjust the printer's dimensions -- makes this so awesome. I can put this on my Ender-3 Max that I've upgraded with the V2 screen and not have to recompile.

    I finally got this working on my Ender 3v2 with Sprite Extruder Pro Kit and BL Touch. It took me a while to get the display updated though. As you said Bryan, the display is "Very Picky" about how the SD card is formatted. I had to use an external SD Card formatter to get the 8GB FAT32 partition and then use the windows 11 MSDOS "format" command to get the 4096 byte allocation unit "format h:/A:4096". But it finally worked, and it Looks Great ! ,...Now let's see how it prints. lol. Thanks Bryan.

    Here’s a nice feature. If you use a SD card adapter you can enable media check in the menu and it will refresh the card whenever you select the media (print) menu. No more rebooting the printer when you change cards!
