  • When a teen calls into a podcast in January of 2023, the unthinkable is revealed, his father a TikTok star has been s*xually abusing him & his brothers.
39-year-old Hayim Nissim Cohen, had been a figure that was loved by many, not just in his home town of Houston, Texas but rather the whole of the United States because he adopted 9 boys over the years.
During that period, they had accumulated over 200K followers on TikTok.
Although on the surface, they appeared to be a happy family, a dark secret was being carried.

This has been going on a long time unfortunately. Gen X, the famous lost generation, had a bunch of us 14yo in an apartment complex raising each other in a feral gang. One day the local problem criminal chased all the girls through the apartment complex threatening to rape them and trying to fight the boys. The boys lured him into an hallway in one of the apartment buildings. We called the police and they said that since there were any adult witnesses, there was nothing they could do. They sent out one officer and he took off.
Two weeks later that same perp broke into a young couples apartment by smashing down their sliding glass doors.

Nonsense. This is very suspect that they wouldn't go straight to police. Everyone knows 911. It blows my mind that no one was immediately suspicious of a young, single man wanting to adopt tons of young boys. Most men at that age don’t even want to be a step-dad yet, this entire scenario should have been the most obvious red flag in the world.

@@hvn17 To be fair, even a young, single woman wanting to adopt that many children ought to raise eyebrows, albeit probably for different reasons. Reasonable expectations about competence alone should be enough of a reason to prevent this scenario from ever happening. Generally speaking, young men just don’t gravitate toward childcare, especially when it is a child that isn’t their own. Sure, there are exceptions, but we’ve seen enough bad actors at this point for it to be more than reasonable to look into individuals like this extra diligently by default.

wouldn't it have been more suspicious if they were all girls? Your suspicions are based on knowledge of the outcome and are flavored by bias. I'm sure there's plenty of scenarios like this that aren't abusive. Assuming that men can't raise children on their own or that a single father preferring to raise boys (because he would understand them better as a male) as something deviant demonstrates a hatred for men in general. Not to mention statistically children raised by single father report less physical and sexual abuse then children raised by single mother.
"The DHHS data shows that of children abused by one parent between 2001 and 2006, 70.6% were abused by their mothers, whereas only 29.4% were abused by their fathers."
The issue here isn't a male raising boys, it's that a pedophile was granted access to victims. Grow up.

What gets me is the adoption system. My daughter is 32 yrs. old. At 28, she looked into adoption. She was engaged, had a fantastic job, and buying a home. She made $69,000 that year. She was turned down, because she needed to make $80,000. Turned down, although getting married, but they wouldn't let his salary be a consideration. She had an entire community support. The entire neighborhood, where she is park manager, for the last ten years, backed her with support letters. Around 300 homes were willing to vouch for her character. She was turned down, over $11,000. But this POS was allowed, nine times, to adopt? Unreal.

If you cannot find a partner because of your looks (ugly, fat, etc), it certainly does not mean that you are a bad person or neglectful.
Despite this, single-father families do exceptionally well, on average... your statistics are from single-mother households, which are usually caused by what I said above.
Those who adopt or get a surrogate are not in a poor environment or low SES-- it's necessary that you are not (adoption requires high income and checks, surrogacy is expensive).

Only for my foster dad to feel angered and emboldened by the turn of events that happened. It took me having to act up in almost every other way before I was sent to another home that things changed. Only to protect my foster family from the awful child they brought into their home. Not until I was the problem was something done. I was never in foster care, but I faced abuse in the home due to my Mother’s neglect and willingness to trust my life with total strangers.
She allowed a man to stay in our home, he had just moved to America from Mexico and was fairly young(I think in his late teens to early adulthood). She had many issues with him while he lived there, but what he did to me was so much worse than her petty reason for kicking him out. I’m thankful every day that it wasn’t r*pe, but the molestation was enough to scar me for life and prevent me from ever coming out about it to any adults. Whenever I made even the slightest hint about what happened to me, it was always dismissed as a “bad dream”. Nobody ever believed me, so I stayed silent.

It ended one day when a CPS worker did a surprise visit and I quietly opened the door and let them walk in on it happening. We were all removed immediately. Our foster parent said, "I'm sorry they're taking you guys away." I was confused. I was like, "I'm not, I've been trying to get out for over a year." Listening to the podcasters talk to him that he needed to go to the police because they would remove the children, and trying to make the victim feel guilty because "they will not allow children in that home until a full investigation was done" was infuriating. I'm sure most of us here follow a lot of court proceedings, true crime and have or know someone who has been the victim of abuse knows that isn't the case. The fact that he was on bond for 3 years and still had access to children is appalling, and the initial victim was trying to protect his brothers the best way he knew how. I feel so awful for him and his brothers. Nobody listens to these children!!

The way home visits are done need reworking. I was harshly judged when coworkers & supervisors learned I met with children separately from parents. This was the 90s. When I had a partner with me, she met with each child while I spoke to parents. How will children feel safe talking to worker if it’s always in front of parents??? I understand safety issues regarding workers alone; however, something needs to be figured out. I erred on side of child’s safety. I’m female. As long as workers fail to establish safe relationships with children where they can speak away from foster/adoptive parents and more, this bs will continue. Kids deserve better. The angst and worry in this young man’s voice as he shares and wants to save his siblings is beyond upsetting.

Disney is famous for allowing pedos and pedos who have actually been to prison to work in Disney. What do you think happens to all the thousands of children who go missing in Disneyland? Pedophilia is the biggest crime in the world but no one has their eyes opened, and its by our own GOVERNMENT. 80,000 children went missing a few years ago, and a few thousand children were abducted by our own government from the Lahaina fires they started in Hawaii. Look up the videos recorded in Lahaina the police said no aircraft could help them because of lack of visibility. But on one of the videos you can clearly see a plane holding a large shipping container shortly after the children were missing. I spent a few years in CPS growing up and thankfully… I didn’t get this type of foster parent but I grew up not knowing my native tongue and that created and separated me from my community as I grew older.
In my circumstance, I feel like if I continued to stay in the CPS… I would have thrived than being returned to my parents who aren’t good parents.
Now, I am unlearning the things I don’t like about myself that I’ve learned from my parents and bad coping mechanisms that I developed for myself.

@@maddd8883Incorrect. CPS or DFCS or CYFD whatever has some good workers for sure that get burnt out, but there's a TON of corrupt ones that just don't care or they are getting something out of it. There's actually been a new case there broke ground in charging the corrupt workers that lied & falsified records & it led to a baby's death. They focus on ppl who aren't abusing their kids but maybe they are struggling & they don't know their Rights. The ones who are doing the real AWFUL torture crap ALL know their rights & know how to get around the system. & There's too many workers who have quit & yes they get burnt out but almost ALL of them state the system is corrupt AF & THAT'S why they were getting burnt out. The good ones that pay attn & did their jobs KNEW the homes that were really abusing their kids. But they were told to move on & had their hands tied & they couldn't handle it bc they felt like they were LETTING these children keep being abused. But usually the ex workers are the 1st ones to tell you how corrupt that place is. & Yes parents who are actually doing the torture & horrific abuse should 💯% be blamed & held accountable. In my mind, they need way harsher sentences. But I'm also 💯% for the workers being charged as well & not getting off scot-free. I think it was a worker & supervisor that were in charge during that HUGE debacle in the Gabriel Fernandez case. (If u dk Abt it I highly recommend looking it up. Even a cursory skimming will devastate u if u have even a tiny shred of decency!) They were found to have royally screwed up in his case but they weren't charged or even fired! They weren't even reprimanded! & Those 2 were directly or indirectly involved in at LEAST 2 more extremely brutal torture deaths of little children! It's 💔. I watch The Misery Machine's channel & they detail a LOT of these cases. Honestly, the system needs a MAJOR overhaul. There are good ppl, I'm sure. But they don't last very long & that's why we're left w\these awful rotten ppl who can't be bothered to save children.
In the case we're listening to tho, it was the Foster Dad that was abusing them.
