    I knew Marc personally, he was in my year at school and in my form at Uckfield secondary. He was no ordinary kid, he was a laugh, always trying to make people laugh, even if it ended in him being punished (detention etc). Marc did not deserve what happened to him, from what I knew, he had a fairly tough up bringing, but he still put a smile on every day. RIP Marc, I hope you’re in a better place.

    I knew Lewis in Primary, and dare I say, we were best friends. When we were younger, Lewis was a bit of an aggressive lad, we'd always get into small scraps, had fallings out and always became friends again. But I never thought that he'd be capable of something like this. It's weird knowing that the kid I grew up with became this person. We did everything together until Secondary School, where we went to separate schools and kind of just stopped talking. It's such a weird thing to think about, because both of us had similar upbringings, did everything together and yet he turned out like this.
    Rest in Peace Marc, and deepest condolences to Marc's family.

      Actually, sociopaths are the most deadly between psycho and sociopaths. Psychopaths mainly just find ppl, "blend in" with them to have the same likes, dislikes, etc, but only do it to get something out of/from them. They have zero emotion or empathy, but rarely do they kill.
      Sociopaths also don't give a fuck or have/feel any empathy or sympathy - and are far more capable of torture, murder, etc. Sociopaths are extremely dangerous because you absolutely do not see it coming. At all.
      I always confused the two, thought it was one in the same - because of the word "psycho". Then I got curious one day and watched some UA-cam vids about "psychopaths vs sociopaths/differences between them,"and I was shocked af.

    Marc reminds me of a young lad, no different to any other teen, in that difficult limbo state of having just left school, wanting to hold on to the last pieces of childhood, vs making steps into the adult world. Seeing his videos, hearing his voice, watching him drink his mug of tea all felt really haunting to me. You can tell he was someone who just wanted to make friends, & sadly, he met someone who took advantage of his kind nature.
    Lewis didn’t just murder him.. he made it personal. Stabbing him 100+ times, & removing his eyes?! That made me feel both emotional & physically sick to my stomach. All I could think of was my nieces & nephews in that situation, their entire lives ahead of them, pleading for them to stop, pleading for help.. that poor lad.
    27 years is bloody nothing. Life should mean life. He should never be allowed out of prison, he’s a monster.

Happens every day. And it's not justice. It's just vengeance. There's a massive difference!

      Also. Have a look at the stats in America. States with the death penalty also have the highest rates of murder. It doesn't work as a deterrent. Mostly because most murder isn't premeditated. It just happens for whatever reason. Usually alcohol. Most people that murder only ever do it once. People make mistakes.

    What a shame he was a genuine nice lad. I have noticed in my life psychopaths latch on to nice people and then become disgusted with them. Mabe because they think the nice person is soft and needs to be taught a lesson ? Or Mabe because it makes them notice how different they are to a normal person and that makes them angry ? They always show there true self eventually.

  • @CB-py1xh
    @CB-py1xh 9 місяців тому +16

    The problem with psychopaths like that is, that you cant see it coming. Their motivations are so irrational, they have no problem with destroying their own whole lives over unprovoked and pointless acts of malice and extreme violence out of nowhere.
    Its very hard to protect against complete irrationality and erratic behavoir.

      Just a quick Google proved this to be false. Over 60% of people locked up for violent crimes reoffend after their sentence in the US. Only 23-30% in the UK. US generally does impose longer sentences but clearly, they do little to nothing to prevent recidivism or deter. The murder rate in the US is 18 times higher than the UK on average. 4 times higher per million. So longer sentences really doesn't matter at all, considering population of the US is only 5 times higher than the UK, we have 18 times the murder and even more times the violent crimes. You guys are doing okay compared with the US, lol.

    • @conchronic
      @conchronic 9 місяців тому +37

      US average for violent crime 10% Europe average 2% clearly the sentencing is not working as a deterrent and evidentially US more violent so longer sentencing but no decrease in violent offending still so additional solutions needed. UK highest incarceration rates in Europe yet this stuff still happens. Continental Europe has less problems so maybe they have better solutions

Some of these actions suggest he tried to get away with it. He'd be an extremely dangerous person if he was capable of covering his tracks.
