How one “shrugs off” their child after hearing them say they have been abused is beyond me. I will never understand that. Shout out to my city’s police department for catching these monsters and blowing up their sick and twisted operation. Hope the children affected by this are helped and can one day heal from the trauma these sick acts must have brought to their innocent lives.
Right so true… I know of someone who did this …the little boy told his dad that a women which was his stepmom at the time was touching him very inappropriately a lot and his dad just told him to stop making things up (as if he was just crazy) …. It really angers me when parents don't believe their children when they tell them they're being abused, physically or sexually. It's already so damaging and makes you feel worthless when this is happening to you, but I can't imagine how much worse it would make a child feel when their parents tell them to shut up and that they don't believe them. Kids don't make shit like that up, I'm so glad my mom actually believed me when I told her.

Yes I understand that such disgusting things done to children may be *taboo* in their community but if your child is telling you something that horrific has been done to them, even if you don’t 100% believe your child it should still be looked into no matter what! But, that thread detailed the phycological reasons many parents do shove their kids off: Lack of care being the least common. In most cases, it’s personal guilt and feelings of failure as a parent or caretaker that usually takes hold at that point. Parents put DEEP trust in institutions they frequent, especially religious ones, which is why much of the abuse from the Catholic Church goes unheard. No one THAT blindly faithful wants to doubt those that tell them they are of god. So they refuse the validity, say they were making it up, exposed to some media of sex that made them parrot things... it’s a sad reality but the moral of the story is ALWAYS assume a victim is correct until they are BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT found wrong

Parents, PLEASE teach your child about consent. Not in relation to sex, not until they're old enough for that conversation, but in relation to ANY kind of touch. Teach them that they can say "no" to physical contact. Teach them the places on their body they should NEVER be touched by anyone who isn't you (during cleaning) or a healthcare professional. And for the love of god, take them seriously if they come to you saying someone is abusing them. Even if the person they are accusing is a loved one, someone you trust, or someone with high standing in your community, TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY.

Its almost always someone close or a loved one that ends up hurting a child, my grandparents on my mothers side protected their son (my uncle) after he raped 2 of my aunts and my mother when they were young. He went on to hurt my cousin at family getherings and then my own sister.
And then finally he gets in trouble for only my cousin, and didn't even spend a year in jail. Its garbage and the system does nothing.
I never understood why many parents teach their kids that affection can be bought (aunt ida that you’ve only seen once before gave you $20- go give her a kiss thank you) and that they are required to show/accept affection from people they know, even if they don’t really know them or feel comfortable with them(uncle Bob will be sad if you don’t give him a hug and kiss). Kids should be allowed to say no to affection, even from and toward parents.

i had a buddy who worked in a prison as an guard, and he told me when the so called ,,justice,, against pedos, and sex offenders is done, most guards look the other way, and sometimes inform the inmates about new prisoners about their history

We are made in His image with free will, but with the ability to know what is right and wrong. Without free will (including the will to slaughter and rape children) there can be no love. Pre-programmed robots cannot do evil OR love, for love by definition must be freely given. In the end all evil will be contained so that they can rip each other apart for eternity. You just make sure you do not end up in that quarantine called Hell. God is so just that He did not say to Himself "I know they commited sins, but nevermind i love them i will turn a blind eye". He could not find ANYONE ELSE worthy enough or holy to pay the bail for us, so He sent His son here to live and be tempted like the rest of us, but NEVER give in to the temptation. The only blameless human payed the most horrific price. You just make sure you accept that free gift. Know your limitations. Know you cannot possibly erase or atone for your sins and trust in His plan. Remember, the cross symbolizes God's justice (The price must be payed in order for justice to exist) and mercy (He payed the price for you) intersected.

I'm pretty sure there is a saying in Cambodia when they have a baby girl that they will always be okay and if they run into financial trouble they will have they're golden ticket...basically the reason that paodophiles go to Cambodia and surrounding areas such as the Philippines and Vietnam is because it's common for very poor families to pimp there own children (specifically the girls) out for money, so I wasn't surprised when I heard he went there...it's such a shame it's a beautiful place and the people are really lovely...it's such a sad truth that it happens there
@Msvna my sister lived in Cambodia for years and when I went to visit her I genuinely fell in love with Cambodia and the people, at the time I didn't actually know that happened there and it was a good thing too because it would have altered my first experience I found it to be a really cool place with really cool people I loved the fact the Cambodian people where hanging round with back packer and the ex pat community, there was a really great atmosphere, I'd go back in a heart beat.... It's really disappointing and heart breaking that it's even a thing there and I was lucky not too see any thing like that...I would have killed in public if I did see anything like that

My father works with the police around my state and nearby states here in the U.S. , a particular detective he knows who is in this line of work had a conversation with him he told me about. My dad asked him what he does to truly deal with it and try to move past it. The only thing he really could say to my dad is that, and this is a pretty rough quote cause I don't remember it to well "you don't get over it, you never get over it, and it haunts you".

I don’t understand it because if I was running an organisation and somebody like that was involved I would do everything to make sure they were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. My friend did this in her police training. She said it was horrible, but over time you need to get used to it and stop "feeling". At times, she said, her whole 8h routine was browsing the web for such content. I honestly admire that she was so strong, this job is definitely not for everyone. From the age of 6-12 I was by a family member. When I finally had the courage to do something I was constantly told I was lying for attention. It took my sister telling my parents he was doing it to her as well for them to finally believe it. The police were never called and we were told what happens in this family stays in this family. It felt horrible to look at the person I called my hero not protect their children just to save face.

Look, that other criminal was sick and depraved himself, but for f*cking up the life of this creep, and removing him from existence in the most horrible way possible - I would personally have reduced his sentence by a little bit. Since he was also in there for sexual assault of a minor, he probably saw the worst part of himself in this man, and wanted to destroy him as a means to try and destroy the same vileness in himself.
As a survivor i plead (often to deaf ears) that therapy should be free and widespread, get all those with this paraphilia to have access to professional help no questions asked. If they dont find help in society, they will find their kindred on the underbelly and soon the "curious" will start to offend. I know everyone wishes them death, and again as a survivor it's hard not to wish vengeance, but education and therapy is key.

It’s worth noting that Huckle only ended up being put on trial because the UK is a country that can prosecute child sex offenders for crimes carried out in other countries using its extraterritorial legal provision in the Sexual Offences Act. Prosecutors in many countries cannot prosecute people for crimes committed in other countries.
I think that has to do with the fact that the UK has pillaged and conquered countries all over the globe. People forget about colonialism.
