My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss. - Розваги

I was in the hospital last month, in a coma for 5 days. My sick leave gone, my last paycheck was $162. I couldn't even make my car payment. My refrigerator has echoes. I WANTED a pizza for dinner. I hsd 2 boiled eggs & 2 pieces of toast. You don't always get what you WANT. Hello, be an adult? I was happy to have the food to eat that I did. Sometimes you have to make do. Things will get better. I will work and earn my way like always. I will survive.
I don't understand how they have the money to buy all that food. I'm terminally ill and on my own so I understand your situation. These tough times we have both experienced makes us stronger and resilient. I wish you all the best.😊

@@JesusGonzalez-xs9vb difference being that if you're addicted to booze or heroin, you get off your a** and get it yourself and if you can't, you don't scream at your spouse, parents or children until they bring it to you. Funny how "food makes me happy so I eat until I'm 700 lbs" is socially acceptable but "heroin makes me feel good so I go get high" makes it OK for people to treat you like literal garbage.

I watch these while I work out or do cardio, I use to be 250lbs myself and I find it interesting how these people maintain that weight bec I would eat until physically in pain full stretched out stomach and 250lb was just my limit

Ah, but it’s the COPIOUS AMOUNT OF DRESSING they use, that “un-does” the healthy salad. I have dressing “on-the-side”, dip the ends of the tines of my fork into it, then into the salad. Believe it or not, you actually TASTE MORE of the dressing, than the SALAD!!!! You also consume the APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF DRESSING!!!! 🤷🏼♀️

A lot of these people have childhood trauma also, and the food is an addiction just like people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. The constant thought of food is just as strong as a junkies constant thought of their next high

They probably wear INKO pads like patients confined to bed do in nospital, but you really need trained nurses to clean properly and two of them to ensure you’re rolled safely, otherwise it’s unhygienic and potentially dangerous if fecal matter gets into bedsores etc
Yeah, I can't eat as much as most 10 year olds eat at a time. Watching these people eat makes my stomach, intestines and colon just scream.

6:13 it always makes me so happy to see this episode now, knowing how incredible she looks now. Literally a whole different person. She wasn’t even half the age of most of a lot of these people on the show yet made the commitment, yet other fully grown adults won’t even make a single effort. It’s sad. So happy for this girl.

Doesn't the american houses have windows? It all seems so airless, stinky, and dark. Brazilian houses has a lot of windows, and big doors. First thing we do in the morning is open all the windows, letting the fresh air and sun light passing through. Cleaning and renewing the energy of the house. Even when it's raining, it's wonderful to feel the wet breeze and petrichor. An airy and ventilated makes so much difference in a persons life, in terms of selfsteem, mood, enthusiasm, etc.
A lot of them are in apartments and in those, you might get one window per room because only one wall will access outside. Depending on the layout, it may not even have that- most apartment bathrooms are interior walls only and the kitchen may also have only inside walls. I'm from the southeastern US where it's hot and humid and traditional houses here are built with plenty of windows and wide doorways to allow for airflow. Many of the older houses here are what are called "shotgun houses" and all the rooms are lined up along one side with a wide hallway on the other side that runs from the living room, that's the whole front of the house, to the kitchen, which is across the whole back of the house, and the front and back doors line up there, too. Maximum airflow, aling with tall, skinny windows.
@@mommy2libras Got it. And another thing I noticed, is that a lot of houses has an apartment "shape". We have a few here, but seems much popular in US this kind of house. How is that possible? Looks awful. We called it "shoe box": small closed places, with little to none windows/balcony.

I am a mum and when my kids say they are hungry I feed them but I don't feed them fast food and junk. I make something with whole food and give them that. If that was done when Sean (not sure how he spells it so I will go with the English version of the original Irish spelling) more he would not be as big as he is now and maybe, if it was done more when he was young, he wouldn't be super morbidly obese now.
Of course that is not a guarantee, but it is much more likely than not

I am impressed by the size of the pizza box at the beginning of the video, it's huge. In Europe we don't have so large pizza boxes or there are few in few places for special occasions. That's a difference that can tell us something about obesity there and here ..

Watching this makes me feel so fat i weigh 150 lbs. This is the best diet motivator there is.
One fast food meal a deal even sounds crazy. Growing up we would have fish and chips once a month and as an adult I rarely have fast food because I don't crave it like these people do. If they are so hungry give them vegetables not junk and processed food.
