      I have veggies as a staple for lunch and dinner. And always fruit included for breakfast and a snack. 1800 calories a day. A treat once a week but in limited quantities. If there is any leftover it goes in the garbage.

      Here we go. Let’s blame the food industry for making food taste good is the reason why they choose to eat so much. Let’s also blame the tobacco industry for making cigarettes addictive. You know the consequences. Yet YOU choose to indulge. Then turn around and blame others for YOUR problem. Then ask for handouts from the rest of us to care for you when you’re too fat to work. This right here is the mentality that has destroyed this country. Self entitled and lacking of self control. And not taking responsibility for your actions. It prohibits me from doing the job I spent 6.5 years in college to do, it wasn't a choice. If you're 600lbs yeah simply eating less food period will help but we can't discount the effect that these ultra processed carbs have- without them it would be VERY DIFFICULT to gain this much weight. If you look at the foods 100% of these people are eating (even thought this a TV show that is partially scripted but still) it's primarily processed carbohydrates and the key to helping them lose weight- even after surgery is not just limiting calories but also limiting carbs. People who have bariatric surgery sometimes aren't successful if they engage in eating slider foods which is specifically- processed carbs that are easy to swallow and digest without making them feel full- this isn't the case with foods high in protein/fat.

    • @daisyapocx9498
      @daisyapocx9498 Рік тому +5

      @@minacakes2 okay but limiting carbs does not equal fat loss, fat loss only occurs when you eat less than what you burn. Saying carbs make you fat is misinformation, which often time leads to disordered eating.

    • @minacakes2
      @minacakes2 Рік тому +3

      @@daisyapocx9498 I agree that saying carbs make you fat as a blanket statement is false and problematic. After all all vegetables are carbs but I also think it's nuanced b/c all carbs are not equal. Two people on the same calorie deficit diet will NOT lose the same amount of body fat if one of them is consistently eating the wrong kind of carbs- so limiting carbs CAN indeed equal fat loss. IN addition to that we cannot ignore human behavior- sugary and ultra processed carbs can make it more difficult to stick to a calorie deficit diet b/c of their effect on your hormones (like insulin) which would sabotage your results for fat loss. So limiting carbs for many people will indeed equal fat loss.
