Hey thanks Jess! Been loving your tuts too! I wanted to know where you got the realistic hand model that you used with your adorable lil froggy which, I love
@@effectatron absolutely! And thank you too! :) so so kind! And ah - that's from Daz!! I LOVE daz and highly recommend it. The fact that the models are already IK rigged makes animating so nice. I have bought a few 'shape morphs' from their marketplace to add a bit more realism/detail to my daz figures - but I probably paid $60 in total for 6 different ones, and it gives me hundreds of sliders to customize my characters. But yeah - basically i just designed a daz character and posed it, and then pulled that into my froggy scene! :)
FYI - you can get to the 'Use Node Material for Presets' option from the redshift menu (Redshift > Materials > Tools) then just click on the option at the top to select or deselect. It would be better if it actually unchecked rather than dropping out of the menu but saves going into the preferences each time.
Thanks. I leave mine off for quixel, but have a material button set to create in the in node editor cuz it's just so much better. That way I never have to mess with it
Great tutorial! What render settings or process would you use to render this out at? I tried rendering a frame and it took about 3 mins. For 90 frames thats a nightmare of a long wait. Im a novice when it comes to Redshift so any advice or actual settings would be greatly appreciated. Is it a case of cache'ing the animation once? My system is : I9 14th gen, rtx 4090, 64 gb ram so I have a decent amount of performance.
We did have our baby girl! happy and healthy! I will be brining you more free training soon. Toon shader and particles for sure!
Congratulations man!! Also great tutorial!
