RD used recently, UVs are very important for a good scattering, also you can drive it with animated texture (based on black and white masks with randomness turbulences).
Wow Thank you so much for uploading this! This is soo helpful! I am having troubles rendering out my scene. I keep getting an error message "My object uses adaptive tessellation, which isn't supported. Disabling tessellation. If you need tessellation, please use fixed tessellation settings: i.e. disable 'screen space adaptive' and set 'min edge length' to zero to force a maximum tessellation level" I tried to use the Redshift Geometry Tab to disabled the screen space adaptive and even set the Minimum Edge Length to zero. The grasses all looked completely different than this video...Is there a way to go around it? Thank you again!
Great tutorial. Just a question - Ive set up an epic games account and downloaded Quixel Bridge. Ive signed in and am able to download the assets and export to C4D. Im slightly confused as I havent started any 30 day trial and as far as I can gather quixel assets are only free to use in UE. Its all this stuff really free?
Quixel is free to use for personal use. If you want to use it for paid work you need to purchase a license. It's like $20 a month. It's all on their site. :) great question.
@@effectatron Thanks for the reply. I understood that for UE it was completely free, even on smaller scale professional work but it didnt seem entirely clear for other software. Im suprised it hasnt directed me to trial version. Anyway, I enjoy your tutorials and learn a lot from them.

Really great! I've used 3DBonfire's tutorial to animate growth and I had a lot of fun, can't wait to try this one out and see how it stacks up!

thank you :)
For selecting multipule objects what you also can do is lock that view than shift select all of the objects you want and drag em into there
Thanks Gamer, wanted to say exactly the same thing. Fiddling with the selector is not always easy
Very cool!!

Dont forget to branch the sprite node (with alpha tex of the vegetal) to speed RS rendering RS
Yes, most Quixel Plant materials come with the sprite node already set up which is awesome
you can fix the alignment issue bu just unchecking align clone in cloner/ matrix attribute.
i like this tutorial
🔥🔥🔥
Great tutorial, is it possible to bake the animation? Am struggling to figure it out

How can growth be bake in C4D?
Having trouble getting Octane scatter to recognize the Decay node. Works fine with Mograph Cloner, but not with Octane for some reason
Idk, I have not used Octane, let me know if you get it working.
is there a reason im getting a redshift material error when using quixel bridge??
Most likely you didn't turn off Node editing in the preferences
this is so unbearable why are ther 20 ads, no longer watching these
Sorry, you can watch ad free content on patreon if that interests you.
