This is one of the coolest ships I've ever seen on ksp... but... how has your pc not amalgamated into a new state of matter? I would not be surprised if it kept running once you unplugged it, given it has probably achieved self-sustaining fusion.
I like how the Mach effects are applied to every part in range, no matter that part’s speed. Means those flybys of the carrier with (explodium?) vapour cones gives the entire carrier vapour cones too
"It's a bird!" "it's a plane!" "it"s a boat!" "it's a skyscraper!" "it's a rocket!" "it's a spaceship!" "it's an aircraft carrier!" "it has a laugheable and pathetic RAMP" "it's an SSTO!" "it's an interplanterary craft!" "it's a flying alien aircraft carrier!" "it's a speedboat" bradley: yes.
My guess is hes probably beta testing KSP 2 under NDA, or just lost interest in KSP for a bit. Could be personal issues. Whatever it is Bradley, we’ll all be here waiting for you if/when you come back. No pressure :)
I really appreciate your choice of artists for the soundtrack. As much as I love listening to the most popular ones, I've never heard of any of these classical performers so far. I hope to check them out as soon as I can figure out how to classify the carrier as a trebuchet.
"Bill has come to the view that they are going to need a bigger boat." Nice! LOL A Noah's ark reference! Made my day, that has. :D "Waiting for a flood was deemed unwise" brought to mind some vastly more obscure stories by an old friend. He wrote of two planets very slowly spiraling in to each other, the one habitable, the other becoming so as atmosphere, water, and life slowly transfer over many thousands of years. (The stories alone span 10,000 years.) At times, the ocean connecting the planets, called the _Horiathon,_ is navigable. Augh! 100 Mammoths! :D Epic video, loved the humor, nice-looking carrier!
Imagine being an alien and seeing an entire aircraft carrier breakthrough the clouds and land onto the water. And imagine being a spectator at NASA's launch pads and seeing an entire aircraft carrier strapped haphazardly with rocket engines.
hi bradley! i have come to appreciate your choice of classical music in this series and would like to make a suggestion: nikolay rimsey-korsakov's op. 35 "festival at baghdad". good work and i hope to see more of this series!
you should get RCS buil aid too I see it's missing from your mod list you can attach small engines to "artificial" engines like bladed ones to get a vector in the editor, it shows you not only the precise CoM, but also the different CoMs when full or empty on fuel, as well as the precise vectors of all engines of a stage/all RCS ports in a direction and gives you the torque in newtowns, allowing you to get precise allignement down to 0 newtowns of torque on asymetrical crafts
is the tiny plane at the end also an Eve SSTO? I wonder how small we can make Eve SSTOs now with the ducted fan blades, you should only need enough rocket fuel to accelerate to orbital speed which isn't that much, so you probably could get away with rather small SSTOs
Hello Mr Whistance, I was wondering about a different type of mission you could do that I've always thought of watching your hyper efficient vessel videos. Could you do a mission in which you attempt to get to and from distant planets in as little Kerbal time as possible? Like instead of your normal 12 gravity assist 240 year 10 part missions to the outer solar system, could you design a massive delta-v overkill vessel to get to eeloo in like 5 years? Love your channel just a thought I had. ❤️
I like this idea. What's the minimum in-game time for a mission from Kerbin to Eeloo? It could be like the Island express thing, but with cool gravity assists etc.
Yes! I've always wanted to see OP ships on direct trajectories. (I still do even now I know a Kerbin year is 0.29 Earth years.) I've only got one of Hazard-ish's videos to go on, and he favours style over accurate gameplay. All the same, the rocket looked big enough; huge thing with loads of stages carrying a very heavy submarine to Laythe. The time indicator showed just 2 years on arrival at Laythe; can you do it in that time? I've forgotten, and I can't run KSP & UA-cam at the same time. Anyway, remember Eeloo's perihelion is inside Jool orbit, but you'd need extra dV to capture in that case.
I suppose the two options would be to either bring a refueling vehicle or to add a grabber arm somewhere. Or both. I'm leaning towards the vehicle for flexibility.
and i am still not capable to make a reusable launch system from eve sea level to low eve orbit... i wonder how to find the aerodynamic tricks to even just do that.... That video is another level you really are a champion of KSP.
i have an idea for an even more excessive idea: what if Bill would build a ring around a planet/moon/star, like a ring around Gilly for example? (that mignt just be a bit excessively excessive)
I have a challenge idea for you: build a big enough structure on the moon that it can be seen from space or from kerbin. The idea stems from the moon landing deniers that complain that the American flag can't be seen from earth. :)

No
He is not using cheats, that is the reason why his channel is impressive, I have even tested his designs with weights and the Delta V checks out

Can I just say the carrier looks awesome? It looks almost like a futuristic version of a STOVL or STOBAR carrier, like the Admiral Kuznetsov
Looking forward to your part 2.
I had this up on the tv and it captured my mom’s attention just by the classical music. Well done on the selection!
the carrier is literally faster than the plane needs to be

My only question, how in KRAKENS NAME did u refuel that carrier in lko? Did u use stratzenblitz's mega ssto?

Hats off to you, sir. I can't imagine the noise of a 35 kiloton rocket getting into space; everyone would have to wear earplugs for miles aroy!

Your videos are really helping me relax a bit during finals.
