- This episode, I review the Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or and contrast it with the more expensive Signet Highland Single Malt Scotch.
The guitar sounds are from my 2017 PRS CE 24 “Angry Larry”.

Nice review as usual. Cheers
Thank you! Cheers. ☺️
Absolutely love your pours, top man. 👍🥃
Cheers, Mick! I gotta make sure there's enough whisky to get me through the recording process. ;)
Very enjoyable video, nice editing
Thanks. I’ve been working on improving my editing to tighten up these episodes. Cheers!
Still have to try the signet. Great reviews
Thanks! The Signet is delicious (but not cheap).
Thanks your video arrived just in time to me. Just bought one and wanted to have an opinion on it before. Thank from France.
That’s fantastic! Thanks for the view and comment from France. 🇫🇷
Glenmorangie 10 was one of my first scotches. Then I had the Signet and the 18 and those are some of my favorites now. Always an extra bottle in stock especially since I can't get them normally here in Canada. The Quinta Ruban is great, and more accessible. I want to try the Nectar D'Or next when I can pick it up in the US (again, not available in my area). The 10 is still nostalgic and great for its price; even after trying a lot more scotch now.
Thank you for sharing! I saw a bottle of Signet in a duty-free shop in Cyprus yesterday, but couldn't justify buying it. My wife and I are only here for a month. Cheers!
The signet has got to be the best whisky I have ever tasted. Great review.
Thanks. I'm a huge fan of the Signet. Cheers!
Thanks for the good vibes again pall I have being to the Distillery glenmorangie its very good and deserves recognition as the 10 year old is a Audible to the average working person as and is very easy-going and not overpriced between 22and 30 pound Depending on promotion
Thanks. I would have loved to have visited the Glenmorangie Distillery during our recent trip (ua-cam.com/video/0vgmmLMHXV0/v-deo.html), but we didn't make it that far north. Cheers!
Great breakdown. I am a little jealous of that bottle of Signet. One day, I hope to bring it home! The Nectar D'Or is on the shelf and I hope to review it soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Thank you, sir! The Signet is a worthy investment, if you can spare the cash. Cheers! 🥃
@@WhiskyRiffs I have only heard excellent comments about it.
It's hard to beat a blend of very old Glenmorangie casks. ;)
Age always offers something NEW and different : the spirit penetrate deeper into the staves/wood, thus extracting more of somehting unkown from the younger version, especially above 21-25 yrs. Signet = Nice !
Agreed. Age changes flavors and some people like the bite of a young expression and some like the more complex aged whiskies. Cheers!
Check out Glenmorangie 12 Lasanta!! Brilliant pour.
I'm a big fan of many Glenmorangie expressions, but the Lasanta has never been my favorite sherry-influenced Scotch. I should try it again since it's been a few years. Cheers!
@@WhiskyRiffs I think it's quite good for the price. Yeah, give it another try and see if anything has changed for you. I also like the MacAllan Sherry cask line.
@@Windband1 Are you a fan of the Aberlour A'bunadh? It's quite intense with sherry notes and too much for some, but I love it.
@@WhiskyRiffs I'm not sure if I've tried them. I'll keep my eye out. It's also been a long time since I had an Ardbeg. I want to revisit their stuff too.
Two great drams....it's a pitty that The Signet is so expensive...had a bottle a couple of years ago and I almost cried when I took the last dram. Glenmorangie is one of my favorite destillery...they almost always deliver great whisky...I've been disapointed only once, and it was one of the limited editions, Spios...didn't like it very much, the nose was ok but tastewise...no.
My favorite Glenmorangie is Signet, The 18yo, Quinta Ruban 12yo and Alta.......almost forgott....The 10yo, my favorite every day dram.
Thanks for the rundown on the other expressions and your favs! I should get a bunch of bottles and do a Glenmorangie expressions episode. Cheers!
I had several bottles of Sauternes wine, couple as expensive as Signet, probably my favorite wine other than Tokaji Aszu, and I can honestly say D'Or is a bitter disappointment. I didn't feel any connection to Sauternes wine at all. It's drinkable, but nothing to be excited about.
Signet on the other hand is totally worth the price (140 eur). Excellent whiskey. I'm trying to stretch my bottle for as long as I can )))
It's so hard to not open the Signet all the time. I've totally been nursing that bottle. Cheers!
