  • Which Johnny Walker Green do I like better?
Also, sorry about the sound. The mic on the phone really hated the wind. Ive now replaced the phone.

I’ve really enjoyed your reviews and hope to see more in the new year. You’ve got this Jack Black way of delivery and no nonsense approach on things.

Get it about the family stuff....made me nervous when the bottles were rocking back and forth...reminded me of something, cant place it.... lol

Good comparison! I would be interested in trying, to see what a little more smoke does. I'm sure it's younger though, which does not bother as long as it's good. More campfire, good finish, little brine. Worth picking up!

"Medicinal note"? How about charred band aids! :-) Love ya brother!

Yeah, I don’t love the band-aid note in some peated whiskies.

I believe that there is a version of JW Green Label produced for the Asian market that is 50% abv.

Love your review style! I am a huge Islay peated scotch fan but I do enjoy JW Green and I wish I had access to the Island Green! Maybe I will come across this JW expression on a trip at Duty Free! It would be fun to try! I appreciate your thoughts and opinions! Exploring scotch is a blast! Oh no you didn't like an Ardbeg? I do love the core lineup but my favourite peated scotch is Lagavulin 16! It was my gateway into peated scotch and I went straight to other expressions of Lagavulin and Ardbeg. I know it can be a huge hit and miss with the special releases, huge waste of money for the most part and the Ardbeg Wee Beastie doesn't blow me away - well hold on that's not right! Lol! I do enjoy it at times! I just wish for a bit more peat and a bit more of an edge I sometimes enjoy in a younger scotch! But it's actually pretty good! Love the Ten for a punch of peat! The UIG is delicious! Canadian pricing for scotch is getting so expensive and in BC (Vancouver) we have this damn built in alcohol sales tax. Cheers! 🙂

Never had much interest in the Island green but might pick one up next time I see it.

I almost never see it because I don’t travel all that much, so I took a leap on it.

I really love this review, I always thought that I was a Johnny Walker Green label fan until last week, I tested island green then came back to my green label and was disappointed 😮, turns out I'm an Island Green Man.
The island is like the Johnnie Walker Blue of the Green, just an easy drinker.

You should have had cheese to cleanse the palate LOL! Are those bottles on the edge of the pool because that Island one looks sketchy like it is going to fall in. Would I like the JW Green because it is not as peaty? For the Island green would that be good mixed with like a sour mix you would use for a whiskey sour? Curious minds need to know LOL!

Kensington Wine Market split up a bunch of old whisky calendars and I picked up some of the more interesting offerings the other week and Johnny Walker Green Label was one of them. I am not a blend guy, but I will say it's satisfactory.
