Compared to the 12 year old, the Sauternes cask is way more intense. However the strong alcoholic sting could also mean it's YOUNGER than the old one... there was a limited 15 year old edition in 2012. The new one is very similar but of course 15 years was smoother no matter how long the finishing period was. I like the new version!
sauternes wine grapes are piqued when optimal botrytis conditions occur. They are NOT floor dried...... not to be confused with Amarone winemaking where fresh berries are sundried on straw mats on racks or in drying rooms until they reach sultana like appearance...

Almost has an aftertaste similar to brushing your teeth with a high baking soda toothpaste after eating something sweet. Lol. I think that’s the noble rot you’re referring to. I enjoy it, despite the odd description
Great channel here. I was wondering, would you know approximately how long an unopened bottle of 12year old Scotch should be good for if stored in a dark cupbpoard at room temperature?
This is weird I haven't seen this type of Nectar D'or, I have the 12 year old one www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/glenmorangie-nectar-dor-12-year-old-whisky/

My father gave me (a bourbon lover) a bottle of this (no age statement) for Christmas. It's incredibly good!
Couldn’t find an age statement in the labeling of the new box. But flavor wise it’s amazing!

Great review as always, I can't believe they changed to NAS :(
I just received a bottle as a gift and love it! I find a resemblance to a good Cognac for me. Love your reviews!
Going to have to stock up on the 12 year!
Surprised that there’s no mention of Botrytis, the “noble rot” that concentrates Sauternes grapes and gives the unique spice flavor.

One If My Favorite Whiskey’s 🥃 #Smooth
Is the age statement Nectar worth more?
On whiskey exchange they say this one IS coloured...
If you have ''Tarlogan Glenmorangie'' would be very nice to watch the review.

Many decades if the cork is good.
so 12 years better?
What deos it “it matured in x cask and finished in y cask” means? It finished in sauternes casks for 5 minutes of 5 years... ?
Matured in ex bourbon American Oak casks for ten years, then finished in Sauternes casks for two years.
Are you serious? This lost its 12 yr age statement? This is NAS now?
08:01 evil laugh mouhahahaha 🤣
His name is Lüning ... Horst Lüning. And I'm Gee ... Catnap Gee!
This is just not as good as the previous 12 year age statement.
No thanks,Glenmorangie👎
Another NAS.
