*”Little. Charlie”* Is a great of example of how things appear one way and are in reality entirely different. The story behind the picture in her wallet was so convoluted no one would have come close to correctly theorizing it.

We can’t assume the woman traveling with Ms. Jane Doe knows about this woman being missing. We don’t even know who this woman was or if she is even alive today. She may have been murdered as well and her body has never been found. Even if she was told about the Jane Doe she may not care to tell anyone anything. So many questions. I hate cases like these even though I find them so interesting. Poor young woman had her whole life ahead of her. What’s worse is no one knows who she is. That is like dying twice in my opinion. How can someone treat another individual like an item to be discarded and dumped? May she and all the missing persons here be at peace.

@@mariyahmercier True. We don't even know if there was a blonde girl.
That being said, I think the story is true. There were so many details, and it was so convoluted, it doesn't seem likely that the men could have made all that up.

East Nashville since gentrification is the only residential neighborhood literally within walking distance to Nashville's downtown bar scene music row. The 1976 Nashville Jane Doe is most likely Native American if she is from Minnesota. Several Indian Reservations here, I live on one. And many women missing throughout the decades. I would suggest law enforcement post something to all the resevations. Families tend to stay on reservations (and a lot of older people too) or maintain strong connections to family networks. Someone needs to reach out and put her infomation in the newspapers on rural Minnesota Reservations and Little Earth Urban area in the Twin Cities. Someone will remember a relative that disappeared.....

A missing war veteran. 😢😢😢 That's so awfully tragic. He faught in the horrors of WW2 and saw his friends and comrades blown to bits in combat, yet he meets an horrific death at the hands of a stranger who was hitchhiking...
    RIP Dept Hopkins 🙏💐💔
Jane Does are always heartbreaking. This woman was a daughter, cousin, possible sister or spouse to someone. It appears she was raped and murdered by drowning... 😢😢😢💔💔💔💐😞😞 May she rest in peace one day finding her identity and killer.

Curious of the native american or possibly hispanic girl...lots of missing and murdered Canadian native american women over the years as unsolved cases; same for areas like the south dakota and plains native american females. Has anyone checked/compared those 'data bases'? If hispanic, she could have either immigrated on her own or came with family and somehow picked up into a united states child protective group home. Several of the older kids will try running away. Most are caught. Any access to those databases..??

I'm astonished to read this. I guess it's a generational thing because although I was very young when she was murdered, I remember the nightly news in black&white t.v. no less, seeking information into her whereabouts. I must've just turned five years old when this happened. It gripped the imagination of the entire nation and like the _Arthur Allan Thomas/Crewe Murders_ case, I assumed everyone knows about them. They're both fascinating because although with the Crewe case, the cops were proven to have falsified a lot of evidence, it couldn't be categorically proven in the case of Jennifer Beard's alleged killer. There's a few more of these cases, another being the disappearance of eighteen year old Mona Blades, on the Napier-Taupo highway. I was still at primary school when this young woman disappeared, never to be seen again.

She was Indian and little Charlie knows more than she's letting on and a woman wouldnt give up a pic of her son for a girl 2 write a guys # on. Women hold on 2 pics of there kids even if there not the best mothers. There's always the regret of the mistake but the love of a mother that won't let go. That tends to push them towards drugs/alcohol. I got theorys about the other crimes but I'm outta time. But no accidents

Hitchhiking mysteries are not mysterious. We all know what happened. It's a common hunting ground for killers. Anywhere. These people were murdered.
