I'm so sorry! My cousin disappeared when we were kids, it was really strange and sad and they adults didn't tell the kids much. Something like 20 years later, my great grandparent's 100+acre land was sold and bulldozed to make a neighborhood: his tiny remains were found in a huge pile of fallen trees. Coroner suspected he died when he was trapped and crushed by the tree trunks. Over the years my family piled fallen trees and debris over where his body was for 20 years. Very sad.

@@nurturetheearth yeah the way the video describes it makes it sound like an honest mix up. when you're out with a large group of friends and people head home at different times and different cars, it's really not hard to lose track of who left with who. it's so sad but i think people are being unfair to people who no doubt felt terrible for what happened and have thought many times what they could have done differently to prevent it. people have to look out for their friends but it doesnt seem like a case of friends callously disregarding their friend's safety and doing nothing to make sure they get back home. just a really normal miscommunication with terrible consequences. its very sad.
we are lucky to live in a time where most people have cell phones and finding someone when you get separated can be as simple as texting "where are you?" though of course that doesnt always work, as your own story shows :P

This is the first time I've seen anyone cover Dail's case, and I thank you for it. One thing you left out - she supposedly left her purse behind in the bar. The case on Henrietta sounds super sketchy. 2 guys tried to remove her from the bar and no one stepped in? Even though she was a regular and they were strangers? ?? Think the bar tender knows more then he's letting on....

    • @bettywith2girls

I think the bartender was another woman, not a guy. They went to the concert as a group with multiple cars and left the bar at different times, and they all assumed she'd gone home in one of the other's cars. One of the things that has always stuck out to me as hinky is that, according to the bouncer, she talked to him about her friends accidentally leaving her behind, then left the bar herself, alone, leaving her purse behind. This was before cell phones, so she would have needed to use a pay phone or pay for a cab (and there were a lot of cabs in that area at night - it was near the university and a major party spot with lots of bars and restaurants) and how she'd use a payphone/pay for a cab without her purse I have no idea. I know I'd never leave my purse behind. I'm sorry your "friends" turned out to be jerks.

Dr. Cheryl Pearson has to be a professional job, this is far too clean for it to be the work of an amateur. There are parts of car interiors that will retain fingerprints that the layman wouldn't even think to wipe down, which is how a lot of people get caught. Knowing where to be able to make the call to her home without being seen or recorded and still being able to be on her route to wherever she was going, probably the hospital, shows a real depth of research and knowledge of the area which smacks of professionalism...

Jojo oli I don’t think she did it with bad intentions. It sounds like her motherly instinct just kicked in and she figured “I don’t want the police thinking my daughter is a slob” and decided to straighten up a little bit. She probably put things away not realizing that they could be clues. I am willing to bet though that she now feels a lot of regret for cleaning up. She probably feels guilty and thinks that she destroyed evidence that could have solved her daughters case. I feel bad for her family. I hope her case is one day solved.

Otherwise, do not tell a sibling, relative, friend, or anyone else about it. When you die the insurance company attempts to notify the beneficiary so they receive the payout. That is how some people are pleasantly surprised to find they are a beneficiary (even under sad circumastances.) Otherwise, they don't need to know. It only invites possible trouble.

If someone has severe type 1 diabetes, assuming a medical emergency is VERY reasonable. A medical emergency for someone with Type 1 can involve confusion and loss of consciousness, both of which could VERY easily lead to a car crash.
I understand why that may have seemed specific, but really all it shows is that she knew what her sister's condition could do if something happened. "Her car isn't here, and her meds are" is entirely enough to jump to that as a likely scenario.

Dear Denise: NONE of the YT True Crime channels voice their beliefs about such disappearances. My guess is that there are many predators travelling around our society who are never caught because they are always on the move and because they take the victims with them out of the local area. The FBI has recently uncovered many unsolved murders and disappearances that they are now attributing to serial killer truck drivers. Because most have cross country routes, they are almost impossible to detect, much less apprehend.

    • @Karamarika
      @Karamarika 4 роки тому +2

Where was the apathy? Law enforcement actively worked on the case for many years and may still be doing so. Had they done nothing, I could see you making this claim, but they did a lot and had very little to work with.
The issue with them not discussing the case with the woman who called makes sense. She was not directly related to the victim. They may have a policy that does not allow them to disclose details to just anyone who calls in, similar to not giving out healthcare information to random people. The person who answered the phone was obviously not familiar with the case and the information provided may not have been correct in order for them to look it up, or it may have not been available in their system because of the age of the case. I just can't see any wrongdoing on the police department's part.

I wonder if Dr. Pearson had any rivals or disgruntled employees at work or maybe a bitter/jealous ex?? I feel like someone hired a hitman and that payphone call to her home was to confirm that the deed was done. Whoever kidnapped/killed her was a pro. No finger prints & no surveillance...had to be planned. No criminal is that lucky. Her friends were there until 1 am and the mystery caller called at 1:58 am either they know more or whoever took/killed her was watching...lying in wait for her company to leave. A 58 min. window of opportunity. Whoever did it wasnt interested in a few bucks at all bc they left the bank envelope with the $140 untouched. I would think any common criminal wouldve taken the cash, even as an afterthought. The stakes were higher than monetary gain.

Henrietta sounds like she would have told anyone about her plans because she was looking for a ride. I bet her body is closer to the bar, within a 15 mile radius away. Was Henrietta intoxicated enough to bother people at the bar? 1.The last sighting story just doesn't sound right. 2.Bars are like family and when two stranger's walk in your house you watch them, so I don't believe Henrietta was taken out of the bar by stranger's. Not saying she couldn't have fallowed these people outside while still pestering for a ride. I hate it when a soul goes missing, it's just out there waiting.

I have the same group of friends that we go to concerts together. Even though were all in our 40s and 50s. We have the same rules we have had for over a decade.
The first person arrives and texts where we have parked. Then we all park in the same area together. Now that we are older after the show we go eat together. We all walk to our cars together
When we are done eating we leave together. The males always walk any solo females to our cars, especially if we leave the venue or restaurant early. Then when we arrive home we text everyone that we made it home.
My fiance has the numbers of all my concert friends. If he does not go to a show with me..he knows where I'm going and who with. And all my friends have his number. If he is working out of town he gets updated texts of where I am. That way should something ever happen to me. He could go right to the police with all the information needed.

I don’t think investigators do a good enough job anymore. I feel like they get lazy and after checking out the obvious places and interviewing the obvious people (which anyone could do) they say they have no leads and leave it at that. If you look how many people go missing, most of whom we never hear about, it’s astounding to see the numbers and it’s hard to believe they put a lot of effort into their searches

David Paulides said Missing persons is the bastard child of law enforcement, its not right, but it is understandable-not defending it- just saying the reason so often they act as they do is because 99 percent of missing persons cases are usually solved in a a few days and most the vast majority are people who chose to disappear for a few days or a week, but there is that very large 1 percent who are victims of crimes. its just frustrating for police to vet all the cases and discover which is which is all.
