I lived in the big city when I was young and it was still affordable. I would rather live as a crackhead smack dab in the hood than pay 2000 bucks for a 200sqft studio. Just insane.
LOL everything in NYC is overpriced. How crazy
Those private landlords are taking the piss out of you. I live in a local housing authority home here in Scotland UK. It's a large 2 bed apartment with balcony on one of the most touristy and famous streets in the UK, the Royal Mile, it's costs £500 per month. I had to wait 10 years on a housing list for it but it was worth it, rent is cheap, the apartment is fab with a 40 sq foot living room and large bedrooms in a great location. I would never consider a private landlord by choice.
Way too expensive, pure greed and madness.
This town has gone crazy.
Shit i was liking this until you said you got kids.
$1800 a month here gets you a 3500 sqft home that's your own. Large back yard, two car driveway and garage. Gorgeous view and space away from your neighbors. It's clean, hygienic, safe and quiet.
It’s sad bc the 3 bedroom at $2000 is what 1 or 2 bedrooms are going for in many cities across the country. At least the pay in NY is higher.
Lmao bro was sharing his first apartment with the hatz brothers 😂😂😂😂 iykyk
3 bedroom for $2k in NY? I paid that for a 2bdrm in Northern Virginia. That place really looks nice.
One bedroom here is that much in Canada, Vancouver Island. In a suite b4 utilities. A room called micro is a room, $999. No anything. Shared toilet. Just a room. 🤷🇨🇦😂
@@Dawn_LR wow!!!!!
@@naturelove831 Yup. People assume we Canadians get less financial burden. It is triple compared to Americans. We pay for the exports even on our wood exported from America that came from us originally. But America makes us a joke in conversation universally. 🙋🏻♀️🇨🇦 I live on an Island, the eggs are $4.99 to $8.99 a dozen. Chicken $23 whole. Onions $3 for 2. Very costly. ❣️💋🌹
He's lying... Either he got a discount or he's splitting that rent so these people will say I personally spend 2K... The apartment itself will be like 6k a month 🥴
Standard of living is so low but that’s the sacrifice to living in NYC.
I live in an 1850$ apartment in LA, pretty decent 1 bedroom aprtment for 3 people (me husband and a toddler) with a parking spot. I dont know why there’s always a comparison between LA and the rest of big cities in the US.
That's an amazing price, you'd get a crack den for that price in Toronto
That Bushwick building seems pretty dope ngl!
Isn't it better for his kids to be in a STABLE SITUATION UNTIL HE GETS STABLE?????
You guys are very quick to judge smh.
I lived I'll my first house 17 years, current home 20 years, and counting. Of course I don't live in a city. Suburban gal here. Paid the second house off in 10 years. Living large.
The amount of people virtue signaling in the comments is bizarre
How is acknowledging reality and asking legitimate questions “virtue signaling?” You commented like a triggered deadbeat father.
It's not virtue signaling, dude is living like he has no responsibilities when he has kids. I'm not with my child's mother anymore but any place that I move to she has her own room decorated the way she likes it. It would be one thing if it was a lack of resources but that's not the case here, dude is just living care free
@@mrdeebo313 Yea most people making these comments are probably doing far worse. This moral high grounding online has to stop eventually. It's the most annoying trend that has gone on too long.
@@Ribcut yeah, it’s considered virtue signaling until somebody does a welfare check on your kids.
@@Ribcut tell me you don’t know the first thing about CPS and DCF and government stipends, without telling me.
Tucson, AZ...I live in a 1100 sq ft 2bd/2bth apt in the Foothills with vaulted ceilings, a city view on my balcony side, a huge mountain in the front...1398.00/mo UTILITIES INCLUDED except water which is about $80.00.
Nobody wants to live in a forest
Then San Francisco is worse because those places look nice.
I stayed in Bushwick like in 2015 it was so cool, i loved it. I hear its a lot more trendy/ modern now.
It's a lot hella expensive too
It's super gentrified. But that's what those folks love 🤷🏿♀️
so gentrified?
@@angus6963 pretty much
Gentrified.
I’m pretty sure I rented that studio in soho to you at 159-161 prince. Can you please confirm!!!! Driving me crazy 🤪
Where is part 2 for your dads container???
Jesus Christ that's more than my mortgage, with everything else tied into it like homeowners insurance and property tax stuff. Like i could pay my mortgage and my bills for the month for that, that's just insane.
That’s good living. God bless you. I lived in NYC from 1985-1995. 1 year in Brooklyn and 9 years in Queens. It seems rents are still reasonable given inflation, etc.
where are your kids!??!
I have no kids. Now I have lived in 8 or more apartments in BK since moving here from California in June of 1997. There is one apartment I wish I still lived in to this day. The rent today would still be under $2000 for a 2bdr. Close to everything, Museum, trains, Barclays. Prospect Heights BK.
the misery in NY is appaling, the cost of living in squalid conditions is astonishing. What a hell hole!!
It's getting bad every where.
Note To Self, Make Alot Of Doe Before I Land On New York For Full Time Producing 💯
“Kids are back in California!” Now my dream studio! 😂
Move to Texas and get a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2400 sq house with a yard. For 2400 a month mortgage. NYC seems nice for single, no kids folk.
Damn, my mortgage is $780 for a 3 bedroom on an acre.
Texas is ass, he could just move to the outer boroughs or Long Island or NJ and still be close to a world class city like nyc
@theendurance Funny I've been told NYC smells like garbage.
@TheSonofabiscuit Where do you live?
@@soufwesthoustontx Umatilla, Florida. Very small town an hour northwest from Orlando.
Dude I have lived in 2 of these apartments!!! Wtf.
At least his children have shelter. God...shut up ppl
I have never seen so MANY foolish comments about this man and his children. None of you have any idea where his children mother resides and what arrangements they have.... Grow Up smh
A mother could never get a way with this. He should be living in California too.
He has children while living like a child himself.
They make portable clothes washers that drain into shower or sink. I would Totally have one over laundromat.
I don’t know how people can live like this, much less voluntarily in this case. How do you even afford toilet paper to wipe your ass? Hell maybe you don’t need it since you probably can’t afford to eat in the first place. I’ll take my quiet little trailer in NC in my boring little town and just visit NYC every now and then. This is crazy 😂😂
Hello I love your vids and your creative attitude makes my day
shut up bot
Idc I’m trying to be nice it’s fun you should try it sometime
I hope your ex married a nice man so your kids can finally have a decent father
People really don’t know how to find deals on apartment and it’s kinda sad. I understand that at times you need an apt asap but usually the timing of acquiring an apt is what it usually comes down to when getting a deal. If you’re stable (living with parents, good roommates, etc.) take your time to find a reasonable apt, don’t get headcracked by these landlords and try to find something that is rent stabilized if you’re trying to save $
This shit being so expensive is why i packed all my shit, left new york city, and drove north until i couldnt anymore.
I live in Maine now. And my only roomate is a moose.
These comments are wild. No, one knows what the situation is. Some parents are the custodial parent and some are not. It’s his life. He isn’t the first person to move out of the state his kids live in.
bro I used to live near Bushwick. I always passed by the building to go to school
I lived in a 429 SQFT studio and I could not imagine going smaller. I paid $1800 for that place in a very nice building in DC. $1800 for 200SQFT is bonkers.
Pandemic hit and the kids went back to Cali. And based off the comments, Nobody thought that the mom wanted them back... And who knows what financial struggles he went through. He got a $2000 3 bedroom apartment for them. Show some grace y'all smh
Little kids don't care about "cool" NYC neighborhoods.
Shipping your kids off to a different state is crazy!
