I'm from Ketchikan. This case really did shake the town to it's core. Dr. Garcia was well loved by the community. Even before any of this was made public, the town already knew many of the details just through gossip, and we were all astounded by Jordan's stupidity in thinking he could just get away with all of it, selling all his stuff, driving around his vehicle, WTH!??? Great job pronouncing Ketchikan correctly!

I do not believe that racial prejudice was an issue in this case. While beauty "is only skin deep" and "is in the eye of the beholder," the countries/former and current territories with the most beauty pageant crowns (i.e., countries with the most winners in Big Four beauty pageants) are
      Venezuela 23
      Philippines 15

      ---------------
Latest pageants: Miss Earth, Miss Universe: 2020; Miss World, Miss International: 2019
      Source Respective pageants
I do not think Eric Garcia lacked for love because of his ethnicity or his US territory of origin, because the Puerto Rican people are well-known for their exceptional beauty and handsomeness. (My uncle lived at a Roman Catholic mission in Puerto Rico for over three decades. My cousins visited with him there during the summer. One became a university professor, got married, had children, etc. there.) Eric Garcia was personable, but not physically attractive. He was short-framed and the bones in his face appear to have been severely broken, perhaps by childhood bullying in a more or less macho Hispanic culture. In a world that values socioeconomic success and physical attractiveness, he calculated that he could buy what he was missing in himself. Miscalculation is always a risky business.

@@sooofunny37 An MRI can definitively show basal skull base, nasal, orbital, cheek, jaw, other facial (e.g., Le Fort fractures of skull) and vertebral fractures, along with a deviated septum pointing to the side of injury, such as from impact trauma due to a blow(s) the face. If you continue with your studies to become a forensic nurse and become certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) your training will enable you to become part of a sexual assault team at a local hospital. This is important because it is relatively easy to miss Battle's Sign from a skull base fracture, cranial nerve damage from orbital and neck fractures with uvula deviation toward the sign of injury, and subconjunctival bleeding and petechiae from a strangulation injury in their acute stages. Dowager's hump (i.e., kyphosis), wry neck, etc. can be observed by physical therapists, etc. The medical research of Neurosurgeon Harvey Williams Cushing (1869-1939) is very informative.

      @nanettevantriesteharder2469 Місяць тому

@@Sockmonkey3940 Okay. I speculated about possible bullying of the adult victim in childhood, which led to his low self-esteem in interpersonal relationships. I thought being a gay boy he was a possible victim of severe and/or repeated interpersonal violence. Unless it was congenital, he could have had misalignment of his facial structures due to untreated orbital, facial, and nasal fractures with a deviated septum, etc., which may have made him want to become a general surgeon in his own right. According to the CDC's MMWR, dating violence, sexual violence, and bullying are commonly reported by US high school students with the frequency of girl, LGBTQ+ youth, and some racial and ethnic minority students more often reported.

A opinion on the gender reversal here. Doesn’t everyone get them. Anymore they lie is to be to afraid to publicly say anything. I see where they are going to ask to be called the opposite refer to him as a she but it’s too soon first all men to to remember our female legacies and champion us enough as our legacy. Society dosent even get to give that away until we all really get women’s suffrage’s and how not to hurt us there every time society talks to us . Yes sometimes Sugar Baby’s kill the dads - it’s not as much as Sugar daddy’s. In one way or another the sugar baby accepts ( that’s usually females ) a different kind of debt to society if they are truthfully worthy to be taken care of. But all women are not worthy there is a slice of women who are confused and feel like something other than respected even if they think sexuality is a base thing. You got to put us down and pay for our wittiness with shame and other lies that are attached to words. 14:50 This is Sad. We need professional to necessitate gender differences if we recognize women’s history. We need to love our own suffering before letting it dye. Personally it’s not a problem of identity unless again women pay the price to raise up a certain very lovey slice of Men socially. The consciousness needs to raise in understan😢ding of this big of change. That’s also reasons vs. emotions. I’m just a women . That’s just for me no one else. 😅 14:50

With this format comes the colorful Hawaiian shirts, cacti, dead pan face, and dry humor. The original educational format came with lots of statistical data. The newest format is a really appealing combination of the first two formats with Dr. Grande's sweet personality shining throughout the videos. Since I am high on openness, high on conscientiousness, mid-range on extroversion, mid-range on agreeableness, and low on neuroticism on the Five Factor Model (OCEAN), I like them all.

@@sheilar.n.4919 I think the point is that a surgeon uses their hands for fine work and you would expect a surgeon to be good at problem solving potentially unforeseen issues.
For example, you would expect that a surgeon wouldn't have to be specifically familiar with a problem that arises during a surgery in order to figure out a solution based on logic and common sense.
It would be a bit worrying that a surgeon isn't rather methodical and can't visualise clues and potential solutions on the fly.
Although plenty of people that would be capable of doing a DIY job like that but have excess cash will absolutely pay people to take care of things like that.

@@icturner23 I speculate that he was probably a short man with a lack of balance. His facial features indicate that his nose and other facial bones were broken with skull base fracture and cranial nerve damage earlier in his life, which were left untreated. Most likely he was abused, neglected, and bullied as a child. His personality and intelligence remained intact. In my personal opinion, he was motivated to become a surgeon and to help others because of his experience.

Confession: I used to think like Dr. Garcia in the past. Rather than facing loneliness, I rather be useful to (toxic) friends I thought have best interests at heart. Found out the truth when I was moving to Japan for studies - my "friends" didn't celebrate my new life milestone. They hated that they can't used me anymore for their benefits. Took me awhile to overcome their betrayal.
Dr. Garcia in this case knew Jordan was toxic, but he doesn't want to face the heartbreak, betrayal or go through dangerous waters of letting Jordan go. Dr. knew that Jordan has dangerous traits if triggered, during their sugar-daddy relationship. Dr. knew that if he breaks up with Jordan, Jordan will not take it well. Too tragic + too late to find out that Dr.'s instincts was right all along, but never acted on it when Dr. had a lot of chances to escape.

I used to work in the claims department of an insurance company.
We had an insured try to rush their claim for their stolen vehicle.
After a few days, the insured’s wife called to cancel the claim. We later found out that the insured reported the vehicle stolen, and then filed a claim for the stolen vehicle, but after it had been reported stolen, he and his buddy were seen by the sheriff, trying to push a car over a cliff. When the sheriff ran the license plate, it was noted that the car had been reported stolen and that the insured was one of the people trying to push it over a cliff.
I don’t know what became of the criminal parts of the claim, but the claim was canceled and I’m not sure if his policy was canceled as it was fraud
