You forgot to mention that the pieces in TF2 Chess have interchangeable hats. So if you wanted, you could make Heavy and Medic the King and Queen respectively.
You can get the Grand Master if you buy the chess set for $100 or on the community market for $10

I got the blue skycrab for christmas before, he sits on my shelf looking cute. I use the crab on my spy. In a way im glad its untradeable because it means I will never be tempted into getting rid of the one original thing in my inventory. (I also have the heavy and engineer figures on a shelf with my portal 2 chell figure, I call it the ValveShelf)

*Note*: if you just want some of these hats, but don't care about the IRL product, many commenters have pointed out some of the items are tradeable, so check the Steam Market or your favourite TF2 trading site for the items.
*Also*: yes, there are items I didn't mention such as The Audio File and The Ap-Sap, but I didn't want to make this video too long and overwhelming so had to leave some things out!
casper theres more to the genuine nabbler then meets the eye, it sells for from what i remember 150~ keys which if we value each key as 2.50 is ~375$ USD making a giant chunk of your money back

It has measurably increased in value as of late, but I got this for 3 dollars.
Clicker got it for 4 keys after this video, and people are already trying to sell it for 10 keys or more...
Now the highest buyorder to instantly sell one is for 21.9 keys... The grandmaster is worth more than a max head.
Keep in mind, the Genuine Nabler is worth around 300$.

You can easily enter VR mode using a console command (I have it bound to some keys). It is very useful because it is the closest you can get to disabling viewmodels in vanilla TF2 on secure servers. This is extremely beneficial with the Headtaker since even with minimized view models, it takes up half your screen.
I got the chess set a while back (for the reason to play chess of course) and it only costed me $50.

Yes, to my knowledge the genuine versions of those hats are tradable. Same goes for the Robo-Sandvich and the Audio File.

I would highly recommend the Vinyl record if you've got a solid turntable. The in-game hat is also fantastic.

4:48 seriously i am losing my mind just a smidgen. i have searched and searched and i cant find that there was a blu spy neca figure. the tf2wiki makes several mentions to it. and the camera beard page says: This item is awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchase the BLU Spy Action Figure. but i cant find any pictures at all anywhere. surely someone took a picture of it!
(yes i am aware that i can probably buy or trade for a genuine camera beard) but i kinda want the figure that came with it.
I actually saw The Grandmaster in-game once. It was about a year ago; I was playing on cp_foundry on a Valve server, and an Engineer on the enemy team was wearing this hat. It looked really cool and I liked it especially since I like chess as well.
The biggest problem I have with this video is that you presume that people get the real world items in order to get the in-game items, instead of getting the real world items because they like them and considering the in-game item a bonus.
If i had the money to spend and a friend who loved chess. I would tottaly buy that tf2 styled chess piece.

2 years ago I bought a demoman pop-figure, I did not know that you could get a hat in Tf2, I hate My life...
Funny thing about the cooker, i work actually as a chef and the restaurant where i worked bought 3 of these cookers to reduce our work and make it easier to us and he found these codes inside the package, he asked what were they and me and my work friend knew exactly what they were bc we are huge tf2 fans. We explained what were they and how big fans we were and that we play tf2, so our boss gave 2 of them to us and we got the taunt. Possibly the best. Day. Of my life

tf2 was the first fps game i played i have more that 30 hours for every class and spent probably more than 300€ so yeahhhh i would never leave this
Domo_onUA-cam I also quit Tf2 because of how toxic the community can be, how hacking is easy and getting a VAC on a game that's free isn't even a punishment, and the crappy matchmaking, so i moved to CS:GO, and later quit because of the same reasons, just worse. I only recently came back to Tf2, but at least i can say i don't regret the 1k hours on Tf2 because i had alot of fun with the game for the past 5 years, while i regret every fucking second i put into the radiating shitstain that is CS:GO.

I actually had a grandmaster at one point when i was first starting out, i think i got it from trading on some website and i dont remember it being very expensive, only reason i dont have it now is that i didnt think it looked good so i sold it back for cheap to get a different hat. :/

There is also a hat called the audio file that is a turntable and it comes on a code in the tf2 cd/vinyl soundtrack.
I think the soundtrack was released in April this year

i sold a key for 50 refined and used that refined to craft hats and other cosmetics, within those cosmetics i got the little bear, last breath, alien backpack (dont remember the exact name), troublemaker's tossle cap, brown bomber, chieftens challenge, and more. truly worth it in my opinion, the more, the better, no matter the quality

i do belive some if not most of the genuine quality hats you can obtain from the promo items are tradable.
So seeing a genuine version of said hat on someone may not always lead to shock and awe that you might expect.
I noticed the boiling point existed once Meet your Match came out via the trade.tf bot which notifies you of new items ingame. I questioned it's existence, until finally learning that it came from buying supplies from a kitchen gallery. I wondered who in their right mind thought it was smart to to this, but shrugged it off as something not worth buying.
I have actually seen the grand master twice while playing TF2, and it looks pretty cool

the little bear is 5.55 keys and the genuine nabler is fucking insanly high in price, somewhere around 130 keys. so i dont think that this would be such a waste
