Well...I mean...car review magazines have tested both cars and the standard GT Mustang, with LESS hp than the Bullitt version does 0-60 in under 4 seconds. The best time they got with the Type R was around a 5.2 second 0-60. Even if you sit a pro racecar driver in the seat of that Type R...you're not gonna crush that 5.2 0-60. I mean...the Type R is a nice enough car...but let's not get crazy talking shit about it'd crush the Mustang.

Both the Type R and the Bullitt I like a lot, too. Even though they're completely different from the get-go, your comparison - or should I put it encomium - on both in a perfectly individual manner doesn't lack neither profoundness nor fair assessment. That being said, the Civic Type-R almost won my money a few years back. Unfortunately, dealers and private sellers asking $10-25K USD over msrp forced my hand elsewhere. Ended up with a 2014 Lexus IS350 F-Sport, and two years later worked my way into a 2017 Corvette Z06.
My heart always lies with American muscle/sports/super/hypercars, but the legendary JDM cars are a very close second. Among my dream cars would be the Nissan GT-R, the new NSX-S, R32-R34 Skyline, Supras, Mitsubishi Eclipse and 3000GT, S2000, Lexus LFA.... Love JDM and American cars. Of course, would be a few Lambos, AMGs, and Paganis sprinkled in there...

We are seriously considering purchasing a type R . Do you live in the northeast Boston area? Wondering how it would perform in snow with different tires than the high performance summer tires. I we knew maybe we would make the switch from our 2008 Subaru Legacy GT.limited.
