I have literally changed all the hoses, egr valve itself, the vst valve sensor on the bottom of the engine and cleaned everything thoroughly with electronics cleaner and this dumb light still comes back, I have pretty much replaced the entire system and this damn light still comes back, I'm at my wits end, it makes 0 sense
@Makula-px8fr same. My car threw an ECT code the same time as two different P0401 codes came. Still trying to diagnose problem. Bottom radiator ECT switch (I think) must be a good quality replacement or OEM
Thank you for your great video. Helped me diagnose. I just did the diagnostics and need the same part. Maybe you could find the part name and number for those that may need it. And if you did a video on testing the vaccum switch, you should link it here and pin it to comments. Thank you for your time. Edit: ok you said vaccum switch. There was a Mighty Vac extension you could have used instead of the little piece of extra hose in case anyone has the MV but was thinking about picking up the little hose.

What if the needle barely moves on the gauge for the EGR modulator. Does this mean it's no good?
Thanks so much
God bless you

Can a simple hose from the EGR trigger the code?. In my case the top hose is cracked and damaged.
Yes, replace the hose for a few dollars and go from there.
