Leave ONE place in Brazil that is your favorite 👇🏼👇🏽👇🏾
Chapada Diamantina - Bahia
Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul
Manaus, Amazonas
Brasilia, the capital
Florianópolis - Santa Catarina
You need to go to Chapada Diamantina, one of most stunning nature views in Brazil and close to Savador
If they google "Chapada Diamantina National Park" they´ll find a lot of information in English. The place has a lot of cities and places to stay but the main touristy city is Lençois. Since they don´t have an offroad car, SUV, ATV or dirt bike, Lençois has the best infrastructure and they can go from Lençois to many places around. Chapada Diamantina has so many mountains, canyons, valleys, rivers, waterfalls, caves, ponds and beautiful nature that I believe that someone needs to stay at least three months there to visit everything if they go out every day to explore something new. The vegetation is not predominantly lush green/rainforest, it is more similar to the vegetation in several parts of US (like California and the Southwest) and Europe (Spain, Portugal, France and parts of Italy for instance), but the place is phenomenal. They´ll need some hiking/trekking shoes if they decide to visit the waterfalls that demand a challenging walk. To get to a lot of places you only need to walk less than 40 minutes and even flip-flops or sneakers are sufficient.

If you guys get tired of beaches and decide to go inwards towards the countryside of Bahia, check out Chapada Diamantina, it’s really amazing!
the city of salvador was the first capital of brazil
Salvador is very musical and vibrant with hundreds of parties everywhere and almost every day but with the Covid, large gatherings are forbidden so they won´t see the best the city has to offer. Street parties are not happening and you don´t see a lot of people on the streets at night. In a normal situation, the city has many similarities with Havana or New Orleans. They should go to places around Salvador like Praia do Forte, Imbassaí or Morro de São Paulo where nature is beautiful or even Chapada Diamantina that requires a 7 hours trip by bus.

Salvador was the first capital of Brazil, before it was moved to Rio de Janeiro (and then Brasília). It's a metropolis. It is also the capital of the Afro-Brazilian culture, you can see it in their food, their dances (like capoeira), their music (samba and axé). It's a really special place. Hope you guys enjoy and then come to visit us in Minas Gerais!
Yes, the state of Minas Gerais is special and they should come to know it. In Minas Gerais there is the best food in Brazil and wonderful story towns (Ouro Preto, Congonhas do Campo, Tiradentes, São João Del Rei, Diamantina...)!
@@johnnie1529 I think you mean "historic towns", but I'm not so sure that Americans would get this expression. Maybe it's better to say "colonial towns". Not sure, though
@@filipedeoliveirarodrigues5886 eles sabem oq "historic towns" significam, eles não são tão burros assim e o nome já é auto-explicativo

Kd Praia do forte?
In Salvador, you should try the most delicious street food in this city, "acarajé". They are fried and sold by "baianas " on their "tabuleiros" all ober the city. . I bet you are going to forget "coxinhas". Try the ones with schrimps inside!
omggg que saudade de coxinha com camarão meu deus não aguento mais o canadá putz
HEY GUYS YOU CANNOT LEAVE BRAZIL WITHOUT COME TO FAVELA DE ROCINHA, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE THE MOST EXCITED EXPERIENCE THERE , YOU'RE GONNA KNOW FAMOUS PEOPLE THERE , AMAZING STORIES, FANTASTIC ARQUITECTURE, etc . It is the largest favela in Brazil, located in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone between the districts of São Conrado and Gávea. Rocinha is built on a steep hillside overlooking Rio de Janeiro, and is located about one kilometre from a nearby beach. Most of the favela is on a very steep hill, with many trees surrounding it. Around 100,000 people live in Rocinha, making it the most populous favela in Brazil. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU GUYS !!!
DO NOT MISS Iguaçu Falls! Make sure to visit both Brasilian and Argentine sides.
African-Brazilian culture is very strong in Salvador! You are gonna eat some different foods there, like acarajé! And dance some Axé!
You guys NEED to visit Bonito in Mato Grosso do Sul State. It's the best place in Brazil to do ecoturism
I agree, that and the Chapadas (dos Veadeiros, dos Guimarães and Diamantina).
They can even go to MS and spend a lot of time in the Pantanal.
FINALLY A NEW VIDEO HAHAHA loving every video. Waiting for you guys here in Bahia.😍
Florianopolis/Brazil (south of Brazil)
A tip: don' t be afraid to take the common taxi cab in Brazil, they are safe. Juts check if there is a taximeter in the car, or ask the driver how much you'll have to pay to your hotel or airport, before boarding the car. I am Brazilian and I just use the common taxi everywhere I go in Brazil.
Come to Minas Gerais! Belo Horizonte is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Brazil, we are known as the “capital of bars” and you have a lot to see!!
Our state is also full of history and we have a lot of special and picturesque places. Hope you enjoy your stay here, and if you come to my state I can show you some amazing things and places. If I were you, I’d come. Stay safe
I love GOL airlines. I will be flying them next week. From São Paulo to Belo Horizonte. Take an UBER. No Taxis. As you probably found out, GOL pilots are a little crazy. If you are still going to be in Brazil next week, come to Belo Horizonte. Then you can go to Ouro Preto. We will be 10 minutes from Ouro Preto on December 26th. Minas Gerais has the best food in all of Brazil.
Founded in 1549 on a small peninsula that separates Todos os Santos Bay from the Atlantic Ocean on the northeast coast of Brazil, Salvador de Bahia became Portuguese America's first capital and remained so until 1763.
Sure “ the bay of all saints “ welcomes you - viva/save mother Africa .Salvador da Bahia is magical
I'm so happy for you guys, Salvador our African Brazil city has got a lot of things to do. Enjoy it and have fun for us
Lençois Maranhenses in Maranhao Brasil, one of the most beautiful places in the world, you should check and share with us.
Salvador is SO VIVID! So much culture!!!
Althouhg almost everythig closed, like big shows and regional events, It's good to see People like you trying to keep the traveling desire alive in these dificult days, be carrefull, and keep on.
Love the way you travel and the way you show our country. There is no steriotypes , just a very honest and fair trip! You do give very nice tips for travellers. Enjoy!
Thank you, we try to keep it that way
Salvador my fav city after Rio, enjoy it! I recommend check Morro de São Paulo and Chapada Diamantina, but all cities in Bahia are breathtaking as the capital 😍❤
If it weren't for the pandemic, what country would you like to go to?
P. S. I really love your videos, I have watched them almost daily since the first one with first day of lockdown in Peru.
Hugs from Romania! 🤗
you should know santa catariana, for sure they are the most beautiful beach in brazil.recommend the city of Imbituba praia do rosa!
The most beautiful beach in Brazil, in Santa Catarina?!? Are fucking kidding me?!?
They're in Northeastern Brazil, they're gonna see cristal clear and warm waters. Even the state of Rio has beaches more beautiful than SC, Cabo Frio is one of them.
I'm not saying the beaches in SC are not good, they are but definitely not the most beautiful.
Venham conhecer as cidades históricas de Minas Gerais. Ouro Preto, São João Del Rey, Mariana, Tiradentes.
Minas é maravilhosa mesmo
There are many people who would like to sit between Lindsey and Alex. The middle seat !
There's a couple of Americans living in Salvador. Their channel is *Our Brazilian life*. They have a local business. You could visit them ❤️ same energy
in some tourist places, there are people who will want to paint their body with white paint, and sell bracelets and necklaces. They usually cost from $ 1 to $ 2. This happens in Italy, France etc. also.
Chapada da Diamantina one the most important park in Brazil, hundreds of water Falls, 40 little citys inside this park. Many caves. The tallest water fall in Brasil, more then 400 hundreds meters high.
Salvador is a big city -- there is the old touristy town, then the crazy downtown with everything - the good and the bad - then you have the rich residential areas (de lux buildings and condos), then the poor areas - the favelas. Downtown is an area that used to be kind of crazy with kids begging you to purchase those ribbons with messages from the Saints, but it´s also interesting in terms of art in general. Bahia is very artistic, not only in painting, sculptures, woodwork, churches and museums but also in music. Highly influenced by its African roots, still present in art and food!
Outside Salvador, in the countryside, lots of factories, especially chocolate (cocoa farms) and coconut products.
Places to go in Salvador:
Igreja do senhor do Bonfim
Farol da Barra
Rio Vermelho
Ilha dos Frades
Foods to try:
Acarajé
Moqueca de Camarão
Vatapá
Cocada
there was no need for paying for the "hand luggage", you could´ve just taken inside the airplane with you (as long as it is under 10kg). you could´ve also taken a backpack along with the hand luggage to put it under your seat. this is valid for all domestic flights in brazil. just a quick tip, enjoy your Bahia staying.
Not really the size of baggage matters , however they already had a carry-on , so Payment for

Salvador is amazing, have good time there guys, and come to Aracaju- Sergipe, the closest state to Salvador and it's my city
Foods you need to try in Bahia: Moqueca de peixe, Acarajé, coconut rice, octopus rice ... Enjoy this lively place of smiling people!
Salvador is the 3rd largest city in brazil. It's the capital of Bahia state and held the bigest street partie in the world, the carnival.
Thank you so much for entertaining us during the lockdown! Brazil was always on our list till 2020 Feb.
The detailing, editing and information in each of your videos show your hard work! Cheers! Alex and Lindsay:) Your idea of showing finances towards the end of each video helps a ton! For planners like us. Oh- and your videos give us a lot of hope! With all the negativity around...
My question for your Q&A- How much in total Dollars worth did you bring when you planned this trip for both of you? Is it easy and safe to draw money there
Hi guys. It's definitely worth it to visit the Chapada Diamantina. It's one of the most beautiful places in this country.
Salvador uma das minhas preferidas no Brasil...
This is the smallest thing but it's actually affective. There was a man in Brazil that I will never forget. He said that depending on what your soul is feeling, the street music can really make some experiences unforgettable. How was the street music for you?
thats so true... Depending on your spirit, and energy you end up knowing diff people, experiences... It is like a book that you are writing as well! All the Best Glade
It´s not the best momento to check this. We have only 20% of ICU capacity for covid-19. Take a look at 'Carnaval Salvador' on youtube and you will see it yourself how 'street music' is

Did you imagine that most viewers were Brazilian? I think you made the videos for people outside Brazil, right? Interesting!
Changing the subject, has anyone already indicated the "Iguaçu Falls" for you to visit? You know that they are considered by the site "New7Wonders" as "The 7 wonders of the natural world". And yet, the infrastructure for tourists is like in the first world countries. Worth it! Hugs!
Salvador is one of the largest cities in the country! it's definitely not a small town! Have fun!

Salvador is the capital of the Bahia state, and like most Brazilian capitals it's quite big. But you can go to smaller cities around like you did with Paraty in Rio. If you have the opportunity, go to Morro de São Paulo.
What a view! And such a cute place with artistic touches. Looking very forward to seeing the sights with you.

take care you guys , the summer in Brazil is very hot...
It look like your staying in Pelourinho very historic. I recommend you do a island day cruse. It at the base of the elevator the docks and fun vender market to explore. For a beach excursion go to Barra Lighthouse. There are Airbnb in that area very safe to walk around next to the ocean. It’s has many bars and there a big mall in walking distance. There is a subway system if you want to go explore into the city. You could have taken it from the airport. They have a free bus that drops you off. You need a short ride to get the it from where you are. My wife and I loved Salvador were there for a month. I live in Brazil expat
Okey guys. Now you are on THE gastronomic hot spot of Brazil.
Acarajé is the go to Street food, you'll find it everywhere, very traditional
Moqueca is the go to local dish, and both of these are some of the BEST food you'll ever eat. I promise.

You should go to Boipeba - BA. It's an Island with unique and beautiful beaches. There's a lot of good hostels to stay. It's amazing

My top places in Bahia State: Boipeba Island, Maraú Peninsula, Caraíva, Corumbau, Cumuruxatiba, Abrolhos Marine National Park and Chapada Diamantina National Park!!! Check those places out on the internet!!!
So in Salvador I really recommend that you try Restaurante Escola Pelourinho (top notch restaurant school) prices are good and its an incredibly good buffet of traditionan Bahian foods, just an excellent way to sample traditional food in the heart of the historic district, They only do lunch if I remember correctly
