- Hey guys, we are in Jalapão, Brazil, a place that is still relatively unknown and a hidden gem (although it is up and coming, and people are hearing about it now. Jalapão is in the state of Tocantins, Brazil. It is known for dramatic landscapes with orange sand dunes, towering rock formations, crystal blue waters, lagoons, fervedouros, and more. This is Part 1 of a 6-part series of videos from Jalapão. Today we go to the Japanese lagoon and Pedra Furada, and they are both exceptional places. Jalapão might be the most beautiful area in Brazil....Maybe. This is the Jalapão Brazil Travel Vlog. Part 1.

these vids get more and more boring i dunno, i guess i'm tired of seeing beaches in the middle of nowhere, they all look the same.. you guys aren't really giving the diverse content you used to. i think i'm just worn out by the last 15 or so videos have just been the same exact thing, go to a beach in the middle of nowhere, some drone footage, and eating the same foods basically.

Part of me thinks this is a joke...it might be. We went to the Amazon, rode Buffalo, climbed açaí trees, watched the chocolate making process, ate worms in a mangrove, met a woman selling potions, went to a desert with thousands of lagoons, some blue lagoons, some orange bluffs. Don’t know how more diverse the content can get. I just wanted to answer but now that I said all of that, I really think you must be one of my friends making a joke. Jake? You’re good
As Alex said, this has to be a joke because the content has always been diverse and fantastic as always. As far as i'm concern i don't think they would release the same stuff if they wanna keep a high rank of views. In Jalapão there is an orange colored dune. There are only 2 places in the world with dunes of this color, in Jalapão and Namibia (Africa).

A gem indeed! I always saw on Brazilian Instagram gram accounts some tiny little natural pool there called Fervedouro do Ceiça that looks like a cenote, not sure if you made it to that place also?

TBH I'm more excited to see you in Jalapão then in Manaus. I think a trip to Manaus will be better when they get covid under control there and Jalapao is a beautiful place. There's more for you to discover there, I hope you get to see the fervedouros do Jalapão. Be safe and have fun guys.

That's a really "hidden" place that not that much of people now. Do you wanna know how secret this place is? I grow up in a city by right the side of that lagoon, I have relatives with farm literally by the side of it, and only discovered that the place exists when I was 24, 25 years old, a few years back.

A meio caminho entre o Jalapão e Brasília tem o Parque estadual deTerra Ronca, com algumas das mais incríveis cavernas da América do Sul.
Não deixem de conhecer Bonito , Fernando de Noronha e o Estado de Minas Gerais ,especialmente Capitolio.

This reminds me of snorkeling and scuba diving in the fresh water cenotes in the Yucatan in Mexico. 2-3 hours south of Cancun. Really fun. Those sharp rocks can be treacherous. Great video Alex and Lindsey. Thanks!

@@Gabrielnobre Not that I'm aware of. Most of the cenotes are freshwater. However, one cenote I scuba dived in had a barracuda. This particular cenote had a tunnel connection to the ocean though. Most of them don't. Some are miles inland. The water is crystal clear. So beautiful. Just like the water in Alex and Lindsey's video.

That water was unbelievably clear. Amazing! And the caves were beautiful. I could see some of the parrots but it sounded like there were an enormous amount of birds. I love seeing the places you visit since I will never see many of them in person.
