I did mine on jackstands. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. My issue was putting the drivers side hi flow cat on. Had someone help guide it from the top of the engine bay and it was easy after that. If you have the right tools it’s not bad. Please soak the turbo studs in KROIL for 24 hours then another hour before working. And use anti-seize on the studs before installing the new pipes
I am currently in the process of installing a pair of IMR catless primaries. When I was removing the cats we ended up stripping the upper inside stud on the passenger side. The flange threads were fine but needed to chase them to clean the studs threads out, when doing so I busted the tap inside the flange, I pulled the passenger side engine mount nut and the coolant lines. It opened it up nicely. Honestly, I thought I might have to pull the engine to pull the turbo, because of that nut in behind the turbo. Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Sounds damn good but wow what a major headache. Yea this definitely swayed me away from doing primaries. Who knows maybe in future not sure but I decided to add the ark performance secondary downpipes to my borla s-type catback. Getting it installed next week. Should sound pretty darn good and MUCH easier to install.
I installed a high flow cat and mid pipe on my 2022 Stinger and for some reason it sounded like my driver side wastegate was rattling or something. Went back to OEM cats and it went away. Any idea why? For me personally, the install is not that hard, already done it twice at this point lmfao. The install would totally be worth it for me if that damn noise would go away.
@@Fix_it_Garage I am sure if a stud snapped on me, I would struggle too. I soaked all of them with WD40 multiple times before removal. and coated the studs with anti-seize after. I did leave the heat shields on. I tried bending them in multiple ways with no difference to sound. I'll leave a link to the noise if you are interested in checking it out. Can't seem to get this issue resolved. Can't seem to find anyone that had a similar sound to this online either. ua-cam.com/users/shortsry-nqOSn1rc?feature=share
@Anthony Cessor I took a listen thats a very interesting sounds. Sounds almost like a waste gate arm rattling. But that shouldn't be affected by installing downpipes. That heatsheild wasn't touching the wastegate arms om assuming? I've never heard that before thats such a weird rattle to have.
@@Fix_it_Garage Right, never heard anything like that before and it's insanely loud, video doesn't do a justice to how loud it really is. That's what I figured what it sounded like or to me sounded like maybe the wastegate itself was rattle not making a full seal and possibly because there is less cat material it's resonating outside the pipes. I did try bending the heatshields in multiple ways but did not make a difference. I really want to resolve this as I love the way the car sounds with it and the stock valved exhaust.
Honestly I didn't really find the magic trick to do this successfully. Heat would probably be a good help using a heay duty impact gun so there's lots of quick torque to get the bolt off
I have a 2023 Stinger GT2 and I just put the Catless Downpipes and catback exhaust on from FI.. I noticed that you did something during the video to simulate the O2 sensors to think there's a catalytic converter on there.. What exactly did you do? Also, with the catless downpipes do you have a issue with overboost on the turbos?
We out o2 sensor spacers in. They pull the o2 sensor put of the main exhaust stream. They also have little tiny catalysts material on them to trick the sensor to think it still has cats installed. He definitely had some overboost issues at first but I think he's had some more tuning work done that has helped that issue
Hey I want to install catless primary and secondaries along with a straight pipe on my stinger, I was wondering what you would think a fair price is to get this all done so I have a base price to go off of and make sure I’m not getting ripped off by some shops
Honestly Im not sure what anyone would or should charge for a job like that. You best bet is to call multiple places and get multiple quotes and see who's over charging that way
All that kia has is a full exhaust, different brake pads, big mouth intakes, jb4 and he runs a blend of premium and e85, and it's got some intakes. That's the total mods on the car. It's mostly a stock sleeper

Dang looks like a bit of labor involved but sounds like you made quick work of it. Sounds great too!
Thanks it was quite the experience and it sounds so good in person. Better then I expected
That powertrain cart makes all the difference. Great job doing all the quickly.
@conekiller13 it really does make a huge difference. I love this thing. I wish I could use one at home haha

That sounds like way more fun then doing the primaries. I bet it will sound just as good too!
No cel light after ? So the oxygen adapters worked ?
Yes the adaptors seem to be working as designed
@@Fix_it_Garage can you send me the link from where you got them ? Thanks
How much would this cost if i had my engine pulled out to replace oild feed line?

Having struggled the first time i feel like i could do this way faster now. Did you leave the little factory heatshields on when you did the install?

@@AnthonyCessor did you ever figure out what the problem is? looking to do this and i dont want that problem
So what would you recommend to do if you are installing these. Heating bolts or soaking them before hand with a bunch of extensions and swivels etc?

they are a bit challenging. your downfall was the extensions yall used to be honest.

That sounds hot!
What brand down pipes and exhaust were used?
It has IMR downpipes and MBRP SS exhaust
What are all your mods in the final shot?

If I learned anything from this, I will now just do the secondary's and a cat back lol
Not a bad idea. Haha save a headache and do the easier stuff. It will still sound just as good
