Kia Stinger DC Sports Downpipe Install-Too Raspy!? MBRP Catback+Downpipes

- In this KJ Lifestyle video we install the DC sports down pipes. I got these for a steal because somebody in a local Stinger group chat bought the wrong ones and wanted to get rid of them. I think it makes the car sound a lot more aggressive, however it is a little raspy while accelerating through lower RPMs. Knowing how to drive past those rpm ranges illuminates the rasp. Make sure you guys go check out 954 mufflers if you were located in south Florida area! They finish my car in 19 minutes in counting!

Brings back memories, I had a 2020 GT2 and got the MBRP and the downpipes on that car.. Noticeable difference in power. The sound took some time to get use to..
That fly by sounds real nice
Love that laying pipe t-shirt 😅
Those guys at 954 Mufflers are the best
Love the sound, I have a gt2 2022
💪🏽💪🏽
It’s the mbrp cat back with it causing the rasp i got the the factory cat back with primary and mid pipe upgrade and more growl then anything
E30 Map 5, Trust me. I've been running it for 35,000 miles now.
You daily map5?
I’ve only been on Map 1/2
@@Robert-dm1sj yes, map 5 is for e30
Map 5 you say? I haven’t tried it, But I’m going to. I also heard map 7 doesn’t drop the boost curve and it pulls right through that low end.
@@OVRBoosted I haven’t tried map 7. With map 5 you’ll gap any stock scat or 5.0 in any roll or dig though. As long as you have cai at least
@@Paulanaterify I’ll put the draggy up and test it. I have a constant time I can run on map 3 and 4. Although launching off a lap3 tcu isn’t as good as a boost launch harness. Do you paddle shift? I get faster times shifting at 5000-5500rpm.
Thinking of getting vibrant ultra quiets to reduce the rasp. Anyone have any good results with these resonators?
Do the catless downpipes pass smog inspection and do you need a tune
I ran the downpipes on map 0 and didn’t have any problems. And these are secondary so the primary cats are still on!
Thanks for the vid....Question?....When you did this did it cause any issues (over boost)or lights in the dash?
Not at all!
bro, I also have a stinger and have the stock catback with catless primaries and secondaries and I have the same rasp in the same rpm range. The forums recommend some vibrant ultra quiet resonators but they gotta be welded in... sigh
Did you end up getting vibrant ultra quiets?
Any drone in the cabin?
Low end it is a little bit but with music it’s not bad
How was the Mbrp by itself im really thinking about buying one. I heard it’s the best happy medium not crazy loud but definitely louder than stock? Did the MBRP sound good in the cabin?
I can tell you the mbrp has drone , it's bad imo, for a daily but only like low speed under 45mph.
It’s not to loud. You will need exhaust tips to eliminate drone.
Do you have a list of all the aftermarket exhaust parts you have?
MBRP Pro catback and the DC Sports downpipes
Thanks! I have 2022 GT2 and have been wanting to get the exhaust done. I really like how yours sounds. Do you have any problems with drone?
@@johncooper6481 It’s not too bad, just have to learn what RPMs the car is the loudest and either drop a gear or slowly get through it
How much they charge u I close to them going with same setup
$150
Does the DC fit the awd model?
@@brandonjones2653 I don’t believe so. Unless they make an AWD variation
Mbrp cant be paired with catless it ruins the harmonics. Thats why i went with ark it was sad but if you ever change primaries mbrp will sound over the top.
Im lost, you only replaced one??
I replaced just the secondary downpipes
@@-kjlifestyle- perfect im confused by set! And thats clear is there a reason why you didn’t do both?
@@creoleVI Because the primary downpipes are where the cats are and I didn’t want to be catless
I honestly don’t like it
It was a little raspy at times but I knew how to control it on the daily!
