    McLaren just seems to do suspension and driving dynamics better than most other, san GM. Obviously cheap my supercar standards, but GM does chassis, driving dynamics and suspension VERY WELL on the C8 Z06 and 6th Gen, Camaro 1LE models.
    I have a 718 GT4 and to be honest I hated it in stock form. I was coming out of a Camaro SS 1LE, which while heavy, was so confident inspiring. My GT4 was all over the place and the PASM was horrible, especially on the rebound damping.
    I have since added MCS 2-way dampers, Apex wheels, and a host of other suspension components (almost gutting most of the OEM stuff) and it is now much better, but still limited by a 4 wheel strut suspension design.

      Hmm, I've never heard that about GM suspension. I've seen (no data to support) Corvettes and Camaro's have a lot of overheating issues on track. Granted, its texas in the summer - so i have overheating issues as well.

    Porsche ❤ Always. My 992 GT3 is really easy to drive and very capable. I agree with your analysis on the high end McLaren.

    Thank you for making the video, you covered everything perfectly, ultimately the huracan is my dream car, so I will get that before a gt 3 rs, but before those I will probably get a gt 4 for the track.
    Again loved the video, very good points and not biased opinion. Thank you for taking the time to make it.

    Nice review. Personally I would choose the Porsche. Owning a few of them including a Cayman S, GTS Boxter, Turbo S 23 and having driving the Lamborghini. Hands down the Porsche take the upper podium spot. Reliability handling and more makes me lean towards my choice. That said to each its own.

      Agreed. There was a time where I preferred the others, they are all good - just depends on which boxes you want to check.
      We are pretty fortunate to even have the opportunity to drive any of them. :)

    I suppose it comes down to what suits your needs and doesn't break the bank or cause a marital departure that takes your garage. I chose cars.

      I had a deposit down on a perf and ended up bailing on it...have you driven the STO?

      @@ignitionontheleft I have not driven one yet. How is it in comparison to the perf? some people say its only good for the track. I only drive on back roads so i dont know if the STO would be too much for me.

      @@pickygarage I watched a few reviews about this and read on the lambo forum, mostly people take the STO since is looks more extreme but you lose the ability to daily drive it since the suspension is pretty tough and you got almost no space to put stuff in

    what about not on track? GT variant P cars vs 610s / Evos?

    • @ignitionontheleft
      @ignitionontheleft  2 місяці тому

      Depends on what you are going for. The p care are less conspicuous which is prefer at this stage of life. I found the 610 super drive-able on the street. My friends still claim that as their favorite car to traverse the streets of San Antonio in.

      @@ignitionontheleft I have a stealth wrapped GT4 that still gets a ton of attention. The flat 6 is iconic IMO but so is the V10....so I guess the only correct answer is to own both ? 😭
