Thanks Chris. Absolutely phenomenal. Wow, the McLaren 750S did much better than I expected for it being wet conditions. I was expecting the Porsche GT3 RS to win. @@Mk1Male - Actually this isn't true, Porsche are known for always being spot on with the numbers they quote. Was the McLaren lapped on the standard tyre , one of the two other pairs supplied incase it was beaten by the gt3? Just like the P1 Vs 918 at Anglesey ... 🤔🤔🤔

McLaren also have insane facilities at their disposal which comfortably outstrip any other manufacturer including Ferrari (Google the McLaren Technology Centre and the McLaren Production Centre).
Would be interesting cos the 750s would pull a LOT faster on the high speed straights but would the gt3 rs make up enough time in the high speed corners ? In my ops-i dont think it would but who knows. Think nurburgring would be a good test for them both
@@lordviper1234you’d have to pull out an LT product from McLaren to compete with an RS product from Porsche if you wanna talk Nurburgring times. That GT3 RS when it’s in its proper operating window is insane.
Back in the days of early TopGear my money was always on Chris being the Stig… These videos prove that I was correct even though I know know he wasn’t 😂 That is some incredible driving Mr Harris. BMX tracks have more runoff area!!!
It's amazing that noone today would set out designing a high performance car with a rear- mounted engine and yet Porsche continues to develop class-leading cars...
Absolutely loved this grudge, amazing driving Chris!! Maybe if using a longer faster circuit the GT3 RS aero would bring the times closer to the 750S? Regardless I absolutely loved watching this and enjoyed seeing some behind the scenes filming, huge thanks to everyone involved. 👌🏻
No chance. Longer, drier track, the 750s just keeps pulling away. It pulls in the mid to high speeds, and it has whole-body downforce exceeding that wing. You could hear in this clip as the 750S lsot traction again and again, and it still won.
@@icedreamer9629 It definitely depends on the track, the 992 GT3RS is 24 seconds quicker (4th fastest time of any street legal production car) around Nürburgring than 720s and there are other aspects to take this into consideration, but if Mclaren could run a top 5 time on Nürburgring with their cars, they'd do it. It's probably the only lap time that counts as far as the consumer perspective is concerned and what influences the car sales and bragging rights. Not that it matters really for any buyers or owners as none of them will be able to reach any of these times, but saying "no chance" is ridiculous.
@@MrRandomTwatMcLaren has never done an official track time round the ring with any of their cars apart from the F1. They have always stated the ring times means nothing to them because where does it end? I actually agree with this stance, the only test that should matter is how it performs on the streets with the occasional ability to track day your car. Ring times having never influenced me as a consumer, so your statement is a myth.
@@MrRandomTwat Nürburgring times always should be compared with a huge asterisk. The GT3 RS used Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Rs, the most extreme semi slick tires available. The McLaren wasn't even on semi slicks. Also there's no doubt that the McLaren Senna could have easily been in the top 5 for years as it broke lap records almost all the time whenever a magazine got its hands on one. It usually outclassed the AMG GT Black Series and GT2 RS which held the record for quite some time.
You can get a Mclaren 720s for a fraction of the price of the 750s. Funny enough, in a roll race, it was actually pulling away from the 750s... There is nothing like the gt3rs. It's a whole different type and level of track car that you can run lap after lap.

He's a character!
thanks for the great video! did the RS receive adequate tires as well?
I would love to know how the 750s will do against the 992 GT2RS 🤤
4:50 Please tell me you at least considered "Fluffer" for the graphic😊
I'd be curious to see the same matchup on a faster track. The aero on the GT3RS didn't really get a chance to kick in there. Both amazing cars though.
Would be interesting cos the 750s would pull a LOT faster on the high speed straights but would the gt3 rs make up enough time in the high speed corners ? In my ops-i dont think it would but who knows. Think nurburgring would be a good test for them both
But the McLaren would pull so much more on the longer straights. Mclaren is just a far quicker car
Gt3rs aero is unfair. Its surprising how 750s can even keep up with it in track, it should be Gt3/Gt2 vs Mclaren senna.
@@lordviper1234check the time of gt3 rs around nurburgring track i don't think this 750s could be close
@@lordviper1234you’d have to pull out an LT product from McLaren to compete with an RS product from Porsche if you wanna talk Nurburgring times. That GT3 RS when it’s in its proper operating window is insane.
Back in the days of early TopGear my money was always on Chris being the Stig…
These videos prove that I was correct even though I know know he wasn’t 😂
That is some incredible driving Mr Harris. BMX tracks have more runoff area!!!
It's amazing that noone today would set out designing a high performance car with a rear- mounted engine and yet Porsche continues to develop class-leading cars...
It took them a very very long time and a lot of money to get it right that's why
Leading which class?
Love the vid! could you comment a little on how 750s compares to 765LT in terms of general impressions, laptime predictions etc? Thank you.
I'm surprised by DB12 🔥
I love the adonised wheel Porsche do on these! They're so cool!
Gimme that Porsche 911 GT3 RS all day! 😍💪💪💪
That 750s has code brown written all over it on the damp stuff. F**king great watch. Not seen Harris pull those faces for a while!
The new Carwow…unbeatable!
Car wow copied Jason Camissa with his LFA v Bugatti v Aventador v MC12 McLaren if you're going to play that game
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Couldn’t agree more I wouldn’t pay a penny over sticker for the Porsche but the McLaren is different, under a million hard to beat it
You can get a Mclaren 720s for a fraction of the price of the 750s. Funny enough, in a roll race, it was actually pulling away from the 750s... There is nothing like the gt3rs. It's a whole different type and level of track car that you can run lap after lap.
"Sticker price "!! You American?
@@DonLee1980if you are talking about carwow dragrace tyre make huge defference in that race
@@belkhirismail6232 roll race has nothing to do with traction. The 720s was walking the 750s at every point when the speed was above 100.
The 750s is a proper weapon. It looked and sounded great. There's no competing with an extra 220hp and less weight.
Judging by that onboard, the GT3 RS wasn't really taken to its limit. It's strange that the 750s somehow looks more approachable in these conditions.
