- This is the patch you all have been waiting for. The exotic weapon buff patch is here, not to mention the fact that you can now buy planetary materials with Vanguard/Crucible marks. We also have raid fixes, It is a good day.

Hard Light is sooooooooooo much better now. Its like night and day. The thing is beast in the Crucible for close/mid range encounters as long as you watch out for the shotgun and fusion rifle folks. I was out shooting Suros and just about every other weapon with it.

Didn't mention that Suros got a new ADS firing sound, and in the big pach a few weeks back they changed the reload animation for the strangers rifle, just in case some didn't notice, or failed to take note.

Great video Datto! do you think the mythoclast has been buffed for PvP too? It seems to do a lot better then I can recall. It feels like it kills faster than suros now (from mid to close range, not so much from a distance)
Farming Materials was a sick thing in this game, thanks God now i can trade them for Marks, but 7 strange coins for 1 fucking exotic Shard is shit, there's people that only have 1 character to do the Weekly Heroic Strike...

Ya can only equip 2 exotics anyways dude, and unless you're trying to max em all, 14 coins aka 2 weeks of the weekly to get the needed mats to max out 2 exotics that you could stick with for however long ya want aint too bad. Or just make more characters if you have the time and experience the game as a diff class! It's really cool to see what it's like to be in the shoes of another class that maybe has you frustrated in the crucible etc, seeing what it's like to be a Warlock made me a lot more understanding of what they do, and also I've already made some clutch plays in the VoG with the self rez! Wurf making an alt if ya got the time, even if ya just wanna do the same class for extra VoG and Weekly runs
It's your time to start a second one buddy ! It'll be a lot more fun and easier for you to get gear, weapons and things like stange coins and motes of light. Plus, more opportunities every week for Nightfall, Raid and Weekly Heroic Strike
Yiu only need 1 per exotic. I think 7 strange coins is pretty fair. And if you do, go farming for some exotics, and dismantle them for some shards. Trust Bungie, they know what they are doing regardless of popular belief.
They also changed the sound of hard light! Not mentioned in the notes, but it sounds MUCH cooler and more noticeable now
Amazing update. Great that I don't have to use ascendant shards for my exotics anymore and that resource buy is awesome!

hey Datto, my favorite weapon is also the Hawkmoon. For the faster reload perk, would you sacrafice that for "send it" perk increasing its range? Knowing that the Hawkmoon has one of the largest magazines for hand cannons. Having 13 shots, you dont have to reload as much as the "Last Word" for example..... i guess my question is which would be more versatile because im weird and lazy. i dont like switching ups my perks all the time, i like to have it stay the way it is once i figure which is more beneficial.
Datto what do you think about increasing the size of the vault to store more things?
They need to bring back the materials for Vanguard/Crucible Marks for those who don't like PVP and want faction gear. Or at least by faction gear with Vanguard marks.
Agree so much with this. As someone who doesn't like PVP, I now have no way to earn marks because I just flat out don't like playing it. At least I had a way beforehand to ear rep and marks. Now I don't. Really dislike that change.
Being able to spend Vanguard marks for faction gear would be a great option.
The last word wasn't effected statistically but it holsters to your hip now instead of straping to your back pre patch.I'm very glad with this!!!!!!
I ran Atheon last night and no one was teleported once, but we got 2 Time vengeance back to back. Everyone was confused but it gave us an additional 30 seconds of damage. No Harpys spawned, and Atheon continued to move. Relic stayed out as well. Nothing changed, just reset the 30 seconds.

Yes! I was waiting for this buff! I was a beast with Thorn in PvP before the buff, and now it's a whole lot better! Probably my favorite gun for PvP now.
Thorn is so much fun in pvp now! I'd argue that it even rivals Hawkmoon!
Joseph Cress i wish i could understand why people like hawkmoon so much, i think thorn after buff is better/more fun to use but thats just my opinion
The pocket infinity's spread and range were also made much worse and the charge rate is much faster, despite the stat graph not reflecting any of those. In the range that you previously could ADS and one shot someone, now you cant even kill them with all three shots while ADSing. Charge rate is faster than any other fusion rifle with the fastest charge up. It seems to be solely good for shotgun-range fights now.

Next a fusion rifle pvp nerf and special ammo boxes nerf so people in the crucible will have to use their primaries for a change.
ive only gotten 1 exotic bounty and my choices were Invective Thorn and i think Super Good Advice either that or it was Bad Juju I chose Invective because i knew thorn wasnt as good as it is suppost to be and i had already got Hawkmoon I now have The Last Word aswell but since thorn has been Buffed im hoping to get another exotic bounty with Thorn

oh and yush! the buff for bigger explosions on the icebreaker will make my loot cave farming even easier!

Hey Datto, for the next raid, do you think Vex Mythoclast is going to be the best weapon? I already have Hawkmoon, Vision of Confluence, Fatebringer, which seem to be better, but I'm not quite sure. What do you think?

Well the vex is solar and the Hive wizards have solar shields so yeah use vex.
That would suck for me. :/ I've done 20 something raids, and just 3 on normal, the rest on hard. Unfortunately, still no Vex. Will be doing another 3 raids tomorrow. If not, at least I have Gjallarhorn... I guess.
flavi_us Hey I dont know if you knew but do the hard atheon first, that doubles your rewards, its like with the heroic strikes, I got 2 vex mythoclasts on 4 atheons like that, i just dismantled one so I could get an exotic shard to upgrade armamentarium, i could have dismantled a last word or a regime which I have two too but vex seemed easier to get for me.
Fatebringer Knights are gonna be a b*tch and then I'd go for a solar heavy for the Wizards.
Im happiest about the framerate issue on xbox, when you were in a party it was like you were playing the game in slow-motion.
Hey guys there's a new exploit on Xbox 360, regarding the Pocket Infinity. If you charge the first shot, and reload, all shots will charge super quick. If it's upgraded of course. And I don't mean in rapid succession. I mean the individual charge time for each burst, including the first one. Try it out.

I don't think you get ascendant energy/shards anymore from the postmaster when completing public events. Can anyone confirm?
The marks for materials is a god send really the onlything i spent marks on was the occasional gun to dismantle for energies. Now i can spend away instead of farming all day.

I already saw changes od Bad Juju. I got it last week from Ex Bounty and it was just ok. Now, I cannot play with anything else. Very niiiice gun.
How do you get past the xyor in thorns bountys bug
It's a little annoying that I got every upgrade on my Patience and Time EXCEPT the last one pre-patch(meaning I had to use the energy)but I still need an exotic shard to get that last upgrade. I guess I have to settle for 291 damage then. (Or whatever it is with all but one upgrade)
Idk if anyone has answered this but why don't they do match making for VOG? I mean wouldn't it be easier to get people to do it more often.... I have yet to get with enough people to do a raid on normal.

Got all my weapon buffs I wanted now I just need some half decent warlock armour and to be level 30-32 and im all set.

I used it anyways because I loved how it looked and always wanted a melee animation for shoving it down someones throat. Now it's even better!

Did bungle fix the ending to the vault of glass? To end the mission? Cause I can't platinum Destiny if that's not fixed.
Suros was nerfed yet again. If I find a shadow price with field scout, I would use it instead of the suros. The stats are the same, and since its perk now works just like glass half full, there is no reason for it to take up my exotic slot
So the chest in Vault of Glass when you push of the Templar won't be there?
You can still get that chest, you need to beat Templar and deny him from teleporting I think. The reason pushing him off gave the secret chest was because you technically beat him without giving him a chance to teleport.
I have a complaint: They still haven't found the problem for the Caterpillar/Hawk error codes! I can't even go to a area without being disconnected from xbox live!
Well atheon is still a little bugged. We were doing the hard earlier and it still only sent 2 people once. Also I was sent through and I'm not sure what happened but my character just died instantly. So I don't think they completely fixed it
Might have to get me a Thorn now..... or at the very least, level up Bad Juju

So Thorn is a beast in pve now. I don't even have ir fully upgraded and it is one shotting low tier foes. Anything above that the dot wears down fast. I don't have a Hawk moon to compare, but is fair to say this gun has a place finally.

Has anybody noticed melee damage inconsistencies? At level 30 I can no longer kill a 28 dreg with one melee. Why?
Did you notice you get less 2 shot headshot kills in pvp with the Hawkmoon now post patch? I think they nerfed the frequency of the bonus damage bullets grouping up at the top of the mag.
Bad JuJu is a beast now if you can control the recoil. Easily one of my favorite guns to use other than the godly Hawkmoon. Loving the patch. Good job Bungie.
The Thorn is pretty damn good now. It's no Hawkmoon or TLW, but it's very nice!

This makes me think of just how good 343i is compared to bungie, 343 are working their arses off to fix issues, with often patches. It took bungie around a month to fix templar, and around 2 or 3 to buff weapons.

So I'm thinking with the Bad Juju's String of Curses Buff that recharges your cooldown on kill might be VERY good for Warlocks, as they are slightly more reliant on their supers than Titans and Hunters. Voidwalkers typically want Intellect and Strength, allowing for the super, Nova Bomb and the melee attack, Energy Drain, which has a lot of versatility. Sunsingers want Intellect for the Radiance, and Discipline, to further increase the grenade spamming potential of Radiance even further. With the String of Curses buff, you could build gear that ONLY gives Discipline and Strength, leaving the charge of your super to Bad Juju's kills. This way, you could easily switch between Voidwalker and Sunsinger without a noticeable drop in effectiveness. In other words, Dead Orbit gear might actually be worth a damn now.
Agreed. I am a firm believer that certain Exotics were made for certain classes. I mean if you follow the story to some of the Exotic quest lines, you'll see that Thorn & Bad Juju were made by corrupted Warlocks (at least one of them I'm sure). Last Word was brought to some little village by a Hunter. As far as stats, Patience & Time is clearly made for Bladedancers with the ability to go invisible. I think Titans are more armor-based than anything. I might be the only one, but I always play a little metagame in every MMO I play. I try to match up weapons to each class. Solar with Solar,. Arc with Arc & Void to Void. =D
SoulEater2k6 Same, I always try to go for lore-based loadouts in games like this. The only thing I would change in what you said is use the Thorn on a Hunter. Pre-Buff, the slow reload could be combated with Chain of Woe, a Gunslinger Hunter perk. I always sort of thought it was made that way to kind of mark it as a Gunslinger Hunter's Weapon. With the buff, while it is now USABLE by other classes, it still shines in a Hunters hands more than any class. As far as Titans go, Suros Regime, Hardlight and Red Death just SCREAM "Titan Weapon" to me.

ReaperGrimm5594 yea definitely Suros and Hard Light. I'm using both of those on my Titan right now! I haven't had the pleasure of using Red Death just yet =( Hopefully it'll pop up for me some time soon. You're definitely right about Thorn for Hunters too. I haven't fully leveled my Thorn up, but I'm thinking you could do some really ignorant DPS using it with Warlocks.
SoulEater2k6 Well Thorn is definitely usable on Titan and Warlock now. Reload is no longer painfully slow.
The Materials for marks was not needed, since they added the materials to the daily and the patrol bounties you can get more than enough without buying it. Now did they need to remove the Marks for Materials trade? Yes as people would be trading in materials for marks as you would be swimming in materials and it would make it WAY to easy to get marks.
So what can be done with all the shards and energy we've gathered these last couple of months?
You will still need them to upgrade legendary weapons and armor.
I liked the red death the way it was, it sucks they changed it like that.
Hey Datto, what do you think of this idea? What if we were to have a separate Vault for Exotics (only weapons) where each slot (1 for each kind of Exotic) is solely reserved for only 1 Exotic kind. So say you have 2 Suros, only 1 of the Suros would be placed into the Exotic Vault (in its proper slot) and the other would just go into the regular Vault. That way if you were to have all the Exotics you can be guaranteed to have all Exotics and having any duplicates will just have to share space with all other weapons in the regular Vault.
